⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable stay – exceptional service in a stunning setting Trump Turnberry was one of the highlights of our two-week Scotland road trip. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful – grand, elegant and full of character, with spectacular views across the Ayrshire coast towards Ailsa Craig. The evening bagpiper playing outside the hotel as the sun set was a lovely touch and really added to the atmosphere. Our initial king room was much smaller than our sons’ twin room and overlooked the car park, but after speaking to reception they showed us the Watson Suite. It was such a worthwhile upgrade and completely transformed our stay. The suite was enormous, beautifully furnished and had breathtaking sea views. The service throughout our stay was outstanding. A special mention to Debbie in Guest Services and Jim, one of the porters, who went above and beyond after torrential rain forced our golfers off the course. The hotel kindly laundered all of their soaking wet golf clothes free of charge, rearranged an early morning tee time for the following day and extended our checkout so they could finish their round, shower and pack before we left. That level of customer service really impressed us. The golfers loved the course, despite the weather doing its best to spoil the day, and the practice facilities were excellent. While they played, I enjoyed the spa, gym and relaxing around the hotel, which meant there was plenty to do even for the non-golfers in our group. Food was consistently very good. We enjoyed a relaxed dinner overlooking the course on our first evening and a lovely fine dining experience in the 1906 Restaurant on our second night. Breakfasts were excellent too, particularly the Scottish smoked salmon, fresh fruit and homemade granola. If I had one small criticism, it would simply be that the standard room we were originally allocated didn’t quite match the expectations created by the rest of this magnificent hotel. However, the way the staff handled our request more than made up for it. Overall, this is a luxurious resort in an incredible setting, with first-class service and genuine attention to detail. We left wishing we could have stayed longer and would happily return.

Beware … I received a gift voucher for afternoon tea ( think £100) and it is only valid for 1 year. Please don’t make the same mistake as I have. They won’t extend it. Money for nothing.

Fantastic overnight stay here with my husband. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the reception staff and made to feel very welcome and informed that we had been upgraded to an ocean view room which we were delighted with. We were given our room card and shortly after arrival to the room we were brought a glass of complimentary prosecco which was a lovely touch. The room was spacious, impeccably clean and had everything we needed. We decided to go to the clubhouse for dinner which did not disappoint, much more relaxed atmosphere which is what we wanted. We each had 3 courses which were excellent, the kitchen staff clearly work very hard and take pride in their cooking. Can't fault it at all. Service was outstanding and we were never left with empty glasses, plates were cleared promptly after each course. After dinner we walked to the lighthouse which was a lovely walk since it was a beautiful evening. On arrival back to the room we had had a turndown service which again was lovely. Overall a brilliant stay and we were made to feel like royalty. Loved it and will definitely return.

Hotel staff was fantastic. Room and view were top notch. Easy walk to the golf shop. Breakfast was delicious. Note- if you’re playing extra golf into the evening, limited food options after 9:30pm. Would return without hesitation.

We have been using Amex Fine hotels and Resorts for years and very rarely (if ever) don't get the complimentary upgrade - but its even more disappointing to be told there's no availability when the next room category is still available for purchase on the hotel website for the entirety of the stay. Tacky Behaviour. Hotels should not be allowed to be part of the programme to lure customers in and then not adhere to the conditions. They have also removed all fridges, mini bars etc from the room?! Even Travelodge's have a way for you to keep juice etc cold. There is literally no snacks nothing available in the room. They want you to order juice, water etc from Room Service - who wants to wait an hour for a bottle of water to be brought to your room and pay a service fee in a 5* hotel? Bizarre behaviour all around from somewhere we previously considered high end.
