Trump Turnberry

Trump Turnberry is an absolutely gorgeous hotel with some of the most breathtaking views and 10pm sunsets that you will ever see. The hotel is great, the restaurants are great, and turnberry Aisla is the best golf course I have ever played and legitimately one of the top 10 golf courses in the world. Why the 4 star rating then? The Robert King the Bruce golf course which is described as the other championship course is far from it. There are three or four holes which are absolutely beautiful but the other holes are average at best. Couple that with no drinking water on the course, no halfway house to grab food or water, and a port-o-potty trailer as the sole place to go to the restroom. Completely not worth it and hard to imagine that Donald Trump considers this to be up to his lofty standards as the rest of the resort and Aisla are so impressive. A very disappointing experience especially when one of the golfers in our group was 80 years old and struggled due to the lack of proper accommodations. Stay away from this course.

Luxury at its finest. Just go and embrace the experience. The most luxurious bed I think I've ever slept in. The views are incomparable, the service impeccable, and the staff accommodating but still very friendly. We had the distinction of being the first clients to experience their new whisky tasting room - what a great place!

The Trump Turnberry is one of the great hotel properties of the world. Its setting and refinement are stunning. It is one of the best locations in the world and the best hotel in Scotland. However, very surprisingly the hotel staff and management are inconsistent which is quite unlike other Trump properties. Housekeeping, front desk, spa and upper management were all disappointing at different times. The bell staff on the other hand as exceptional. They should have those guys run the hotel! Also, one lady named Dell was extremely nice and helpful to us. The golf courses are amazing! The Alisa is one of the most beautiful in the world though quite expensive. At half the price the Robert the Bruce course was exceptional. In both courses is really pays to stay out of the rough or you will use lots of golf balls. The breakfast at the hotel is excellent and the food overall is ok. The Duel in the Sun restaurant at the golf courses is the better evening option as we were not impressed with the main restaurant. There are also a few good places around for a meal, just ask the bell staff. Overall, I would love to have given this property a five plus rating but the inconsistency, housekeeping and AC issues were too significant. The hotel did compensate us some for the AC issues and tried to correct their spa mixups but at a Trump property you expect better.

Our one night stay was excellent from start to finish. Welcomed by Graham at bottom of drive. Valet parking (excellent experience) Joshua on front desk, professional and friendly (such as credit to this hotel) Room upgrade wow 😮 Hotel is immaculate.

Living on previous experience. Coarse closed no atmosphere. Some service poor and slow. Food not that great and a bit limited.All things very expensive. Will not be returning. Rates going up also.Better places and value in Scotland if’s you search
