About the Hotel

In the outskirts of the world-famous medieval town of Montepulciano, surrounded by unspoiled Tuscan nature, lies Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala - a luxurious haven of tranquillity, filled with memories of a rich past. The Silk Road, that once wove through this region, continues to fuel our imagination to these days. Poggio Alla Sala offers its own nod to the historic trade route and pays homage to cultural pluralism and the exotique world of travel. Magnificent frescos and vaulted ceiling and windows are offset by oriental accents, while exotique gardens are overlooked by the cinematic interiors. With the preservation of their historic spirit in mind, the rooms and suites of Poggio Alla Sala reflect an understated Tuscan aesthetic while incorporating a global feel throughout. Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala offers guests a taste of a delicious seasonal cuisine with unique Tuscan flavours. The resort boasts various food and beverage venues with a wide selection of dining possibilities; from buffet dining to a la carte to in-room service. Nestled amidst the rolling hills and captivating vineyards, the resort’s 3 sparkling pools, one for adult only, pool bar, a spa with water zone and a gym offer an exquisite oasis of relaxation.

Unforgettable Tuscan Retreat

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala is an amazing hotel that offers an unparalleled blend of luxury and tranquility. Surrounded by lush vineyards, the estate exudes serenity and beauty at every turn, complemented by stunningly designed interiors that showcase thoughtful craftsmanship. The rooms are super comfortable and carefully designed. The true highlight of the estate is its exceptional staff, whose helpfulness and friendliness made us feel cherished and well-cared for. The breakfast was absolutely perfect, with a selection featuring freshly baked pastries, local cheeses, and fruits, each morning begins with a smile. Can't wait for our next stay here.

Beautiful Tuscany escape

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful 5 star hotel near Montepulciano. The staff were all very welcoming, the rooms were lovely and we also got to enjoy the spa on site. Without a doubt, one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had in a long time (the cakes were outstanding!).

Magnificent Hotel with fabulous views

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

This is a beautiful property, lovingly restored and perfect for a relaxing break. A couple of suggestions-the outdoor pools are unheated, the rooms need more drawer space and the lunch menu could do with a few more options. Apart from these very minor niggles, everything else was wonderful. Breakfast on the terrace, looking at the lovely Tuscan countryside was a treat. Loads of options and delicious coffee. Dinner at night was likewise excellent and staff were charming and helpful. We had some terrific suggestions for dinner nearby and a very relaxing five days. Will definitely return!

Perfect choice for a luxury Tuscan stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 months ago

This is a Stunning Property, with large rooms sporting comfortable king size beds, a beautiful restaurant with views that make for a romantic dinner and an especially perfect breakfast experience, and finally, a staff that works very hard to make your stay happy and fulfilling. What you may not know until you arrive, is that you have entered a centuries old property that just opened as a hotel in spring 2023. Thus, the gorgeous stately old Tuscan buildings are fresh and new inside, with modern amenities paired with the architectual style that suits the property's age. Several building with guests rooms, 3 pools, a beautiful spa, and a lovely restaurant create a resort environment which you will not find in most Tuscan countryside hotels. While all the staff was wonderful, a special Thanks goes to: Beatrice, Rafaella and Mariana. One note of Assistance: the closest large town is Montepulciano. While only 5 miles away, the windy roads make it a 20 minute drive. thank you for our wonderful 5 day stay, Marla and Lance

Beautiful Hotel, but Food & Beverage service could be a lot better

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

This hotel boasts stunning beauty, and it certainly has the potential to achieve a 5-star luxury oasis rating. The premises are visually appealing, and both the rooms and cleaning service meet standard expectations. However, I must share some concerns regarding certain areas that could be enhanced. The level of maintenance, particularly at the SPA, was not what I anticipated for a hotel opened only 5 months ago. A few issues such as a non-working steambath and some broken water jets in the Scottish showers were noted. The worst part was represented by the Food & Beverage outlets, which left room for improvement, and I hope this is an area the hotel management might consider addressing. We experienced some challenges at the restaurant and pool bar. Our first night's dinner took way longer than expected, and the food quality was underwhelming. Additionally, the pool bar seemed to be managed by young and possibly inexperienced staff, which led to some misunderstandings and service hick ups. They never come to take orders, so you always need to seek their attention or even walk up to them. When serving us lunch, they provided one set of cutlery and one napkin for 2 adults and 1 child. Even though my wife and 4-year-old son were sharing a pizza, if they ran out of cutlery, they could have at least brought us 3 napkins. The service felt more like that of a beachside shack than what we expected from this establishment. Despite these concerns, the breakfast service was satisfying, and the overall ambiance of the hotel is undeniably charming. If eating out is an option for you, this hotel's exquisite setting might make your stay worthwhile. However, considering the price of well over €500/night, it might be wise to explore other options if these areas are of significant importance to you.
