In the outskirts of the world-famous medieval town of Montepulciano, surrounded by unspoiled Tuscan nature, lies Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala - a luxurious haven of tranquillity, filled with memories of a rich past. The Silk Road, that once wove through this region, continues to fuel our imagination to these days. Poggio Alla Sala offers its own nod to the historic trade route and pays homage to cultural pluralism and the exotique world of travel. Magnificent frescos and vaulted ceiling and windows are offset by oriental accents, while exotique gardens are overlooked by the cinematic interiors. With the preservation of their historic spirit in mind, the rooms and suites of Poggio Alla Sala reflect an understated Tuscan aesthetic while incorporating a global feel throughout. Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala offers guests a taste of a delicious seasonal cuisine with unique Tuscan flavours. The resort boasts various food and beverage venues with a wide selection of dining possibilities; from buffet dining to a la carte to in-room service. Nestled amidst the rolling hills and captivating vineyards, the resort’s 3 sparkling pools, one for adult only, pool bar, a spa with water zone and a gym offer an exquisite oasis of relaxation.

This was our second visit….the original one being very shortly after the Hotel opened. There is no doubt that the setting is absolutely beautiful, as are the buildings which I assume have been lovingly restored. Our suite was spacious and well appointed and our family were likewise in well equipped family suites, (interconnecting bedrooms and two bathrooms.) Breakfast was exceptionally good…..loads of fresh fruit, cereals, bread and an assortment of savouries and salads. Eggs of every description and everything was fresh and well displayed. We had dinner on the first night which was very good and lunch round the pool was likewise delicious. It would have been nice to have a few more salad options on the lunch menu, but that was a very small criticism. Pool service could and I feel should be more attentive. You had to ask for someone to help you and no-one rushed over when I was trying to move an umbrella. Again, a small niggle. As I did last time, I mentioned the pools are freezing ! Please please heat them! Spa was crazy crazy money in my opinion. Hairdryer in room only worked if you kept your finger pressed to the ON button. I did mention this on our departure and I had requested they find a normal hair dryer for me during our stay. However as I have said already, these are very small niggles in an otherwise perfect family holiday! The children had an amazing experience and loved every minute and that was the best thing of all!

Four days in paradise. Everything was simply perfect and exceeded our expectations — the location, the beautiful gardens, pools, spa, room, and peaceful atmosphere. The service was exceptional: warm, professional, and attentive. Breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay — outstanding food, beautiful presentation, and truly Michelin-level quality. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. 10/10. We will definitely return.

A very nice setting with breathtaking views being spoiled by poor service and inability to satisfy the customers that pay a very high daily rate. We arrived at 10:00pm and we were hungry. The kitchen was closed, there was no room service and not an option to eat anything. No delivery either as you are in the middle of nowhere. Next day when they made the rooms, they only put 1 towel for 2 people in the room. Generally not the level of service one would expect at such a level of hotel.

Breathtaking property tucked away on a mountainside and surrounded by vineyards. Three glorious pools - two of which offer adult peace and privacy - and poolside service that makes it easy to chill. The room was superb. Staff was super cheerful, friendly, and truly anxious to please. Started with a glass of homemade lemonade on arrival and ended with a care package containing homemade (delicious) biscotti. We will return!
