Our stay at Anantara Ubud Bali Resort was truly wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The resort is a perfect place to relax, recharge, and experience the natural beauty and culture of Ubud. The property itself is stunning. However when we arrived, the room we requested was not ready. Our room was comfortable, spacious and thoughtfully designed, making it very easy to unwind after a day of exploring. Everything felt well maintained, and the attention to detail throughout the resort really added to the experience. One person who deserves special recognition is Mr. Enrico, the manager. He was exceptionally helpful, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. Mr. Enrico genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and that everything was taken care of. He and my son always connected in the whatsapp. He was always approachable, friendly, and willing to assist with any questions or requests we had. His personal attention and hospitality made a real difference and helped make our stay feel special. It is clear that he takes great pride in the resort and cares about creating a memorable experience for guests. I would also highly recommend taking advantage of the activities offered during the stay. Ubud is such a beautiful destination and the resort provides a great opportunity to experience more than just the hotel itself. We especially enjoyed participating in the activities and exploring the surrounding area. These experiences made the stay more memorable and allowed us to appreciate the culture, nature, and peaceful atmosphere of Bali. My recommendation would be not to spend the entire stay simply relaxing at the resort, take some time to join the activities, explore Ubud, and experience what the resort has to offer. The service from the staff was consistently warm and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was friendly, polite and genuinely interested in making sure we had a pleasant stay. From the restaurant team to housekeeping and the guest services team, the hospitality was excellent. The dining experience was also enjoyable, but the food taste is bland and unfortunately not much option offered. This is something that they need to improve. I’ve told the same to Mr. Enrico. Overall, Anantara Ubud Bali Resort is a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a peaceful and the professional service which the manager always get involved. I would happily recommend to friends, family, and other travelers. A special thank you again to Mr. Enrico for his exceptional hospitality and for making us feel so well looked after. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help truly stood out. We left the resort with wonderful memories and would definitely love to return to your hotel.

Attention to details, cleaning done at 4PM only when we came back to hotel to rest, fruits were not changed for 3 days, when we ordered inroom dining the staff were calling too much at the door and talking extremely loud despite the fact that when I opened the door I informed that my son is sleeping. Food quality very poor in the restaurant, soup of the day same every day .... some dish options not available any of the days. Pool dirty and not being cleaned.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Genuinely. Anantara Ubud is magnificent. Everything looks and feels high-end, but the location really makes it. You’re surrounded by proper jungle. The views are stunning, it’s ridiculously peaceful and within a few hours we’d completely switched off. Reception makes quite an impression, with an exceptionally high roof, beautiful wooden beams and an outside seating area overlooking the jungle. We also received a traditional Balinese blessing on arrival, which was a lovely touch. We were incredibly lucky to be upgraded to a suite with a private infinity pool. Calling it a room doesn’t do it justice – it was enormous, split into four areas and arguably the best suite we’ve ever stayed in. Huge bed, walk-in wardrobe and shower, loads of storage and a private pool looking directly into the jungle. The water was… refreshing 😂, but the view was pretty special. Even the smaller things stood out. The toiletries, kimonos and travel bag felt like genuinely high-quality products rather than hotel freebies. Cleverly, many are available in the hotel shop. This marketing clearly works because my wife bought the travel bag AND a kimono, while our daughter bought earrings. 😂 So well played, Anantara. The staff really made our stay. Everyone was warm, attentive and incredibly helpful. Our villa host, Odi, was fantastic and available via WhatsApp whenever needed. When we went out for dinner and suddenly worried we’d left the iron on, he immediately arranged for someone to check. Thankfully we hadn’t, so apparently we are capable adults after all. Particularly important to us was how brilliantly they handled our daughter’s severe food allergies. Staff knew about them from the minute we arrived and consistently took them seriously. She could safely enjoy pastries, cakes and foods we often have to avoid when travelling. As parents, that takes a massive weight off your mind. The food was fantastic. Kirana offers a huge range of Indonesian, Asian and Western dishes without falling into the trap of doing lots of things averagely. We also ate at Amerta, where the Mediterranean/open-fire food was another highlight. We treated ourselves to the spa. It’s not cheap, but the treatments were superb and both therapists were clearly very experienced. I have approximately one spa treatment a year, so I’m hardly an authority, but it was bloody good. 😂 We also arranged a private day trip through the hotel to the Sacred Monkey Forest, a traditional Balinese home, coffee plantation and silver workshop. Some was undeniably touristy, but do you know what? We were tourists. 😂 Our guide was brilliant and we learnt loads about Balinese culture along the way. Ironically, despite being surrounded by jungle, don’t necessarily expect monkeys around the hotel. I’d convinced myself they’d be swinging past our balcony. They weren’t. To be fair, I also half expected to wake up with a millipede on my face, so the lack of expectation management is probably more on me than Anantara. 😂 One thing I’d flag is accessibility. I knew beforehand that the hotel was built into a steep hillside, but knowing that and experiencing the gradients are different things! There are lifts and an inclined carriage serving much of the resort, but our floor required a steep flight of stairs. I have a lung condition and found this challenging at times. It wouldn’t stop me returning, but next time I’d request a room with easier lift access. If you have mobility or respiratory issues, I’d discuss room location with the hotel before arriving. Finally, the hotel really is tucked away in the jungle. Don’t expect to walk outside and explore central Ubud. But that’s also the point. We were only there for three nights and that was our biggest mistake. Beautiful hotel, fantastic food, wonderful staff and so many thoughtful touches. We’d go back in a heartbeat. Just for longer next time.

Probably one of the best hotel rooms I've stayed in. Beautifully equipped, large, spacious, sumptuous bedrooms with glorious bed linen, comfy pillows (and a pillow menu if you need one), a large bathroom with every possible thing you could need (especially if you forgot to pack it). Detached from neighbors and overlooking the tree canopy. My only gripe is that the private balcony pool wasn't heated and it was rather 'bracing'! The main pool was incredible and warm (there are 2 pools - both fabulous). The gym was well equipped and a fantastic full size pool table and table tennis table for teenage entertainment. It's location is stunning but if you struggle to climb steps, then do think about it carefully. There are lifts and inclinators, but it can take time to get about. The staff were fabulous and helpful and very attentive. The breakfast was excellent and choice extensive. The evening meal was slightly disappointing to be honest. It boasts Michelin quality but it didn't quite hit the mark for us. And watch out for the wine prices, our own fault as we got confused with the amount of zero's on the end for Indonesian rupees, and ended up paying £120 for a bottle of Whispering Angel rose - opps ! Buy by the glass unless your feeling flush or don't care! The hotel even provided a spa treatment and an afternoon tea complimentary which were both superb and a real treat - so thank you. A great location to explore the Ubud region and a stunning hotel. Would highly recommend it.
