Raffles Udaipur is a lovely property and, overall, an outstanding experience. The entire construction is grand without feeling overdone — the island-palace setting, royal architecture and attention to detail have been done with a great deal of taste. The gardens and upkeep of the property are exceptional, and the views of the lake from the third-floor suites are simply beautiful. What really stands out, though, is the staff and service. A special shout-out to our butler, Shubham, who was wonderful throughout our stay. He went out of the way to make the birthday celebrations special and memorable. Also, a big thank you to the team at Patisserie — particularly Erika, Dinki and Suraj — who looked after us across our meals and made the experience feel genuinely personal and warm. And the meals were outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety — from the Rajasthani ethnic meals to the Italian and North Indian offerings. Everything was beautifully done. The breakfast served at the table was also a great delight — and a lovely, unhurried way to start the day. :) There are several in-house activities, which is a great offering including a beautiful evening Aarti, although I felt there is some scope to take these up a notch. The spa is good, although there are some space constraints, which felt slightly surprising given that the property was on relatively low occupancy during our stay. We also tried the signature therapy, and while it was good, it didn’t quite have the “wow” factor one would expect from a signature experience at Raffles. The absolute highlight of our trip, however, was the property tour around sunset — highly recommended. Our buggy driver, Mr Sameer, deserves a special mention. Extremely polite, warm and, unexpectedly, a fantastic photographer! He knew all the best spots, angles and timings, and patiently helped us get some of the best photographs of our trip — honestly better than some professional photographers we’ve used. Overall, a beautiful property with a wonderful team and a truly memorable experience

We had an overall wonderful stay at this beautifully decorated and very well-maintained property. Accommodation & Rooms We stayed in the Lakeshore building, where the rooms were exceptionally comfortable. The only drawback was a bathroom design flaw: water tended to pool while taking a shower. It wasn't a drainage blockade, but rather an issue with the shower enclosure/slope design, which didn't feel very hygienic. Dining Experiences The culinary service was outstanding overall, with accommodating staff across all outlets: Sawai Restaurant: A absolute must-try! Lakeshore Restaurant Breakfast: A fantastic experience with attentive service. Chef went above and beyond to make us dal kachori upon request! Suggestions for Improvement: The breakfast at the Island property felt quite crowded. Incorporating more local Rajasthani dishes and traditional sweets into the breakfast buffet would be a great addition. Spa & Wellness My massage was deeply relaxing and the spa team provided great service. However, the facility would benefit from a dedicated post-treatment relaxation area so that shower facilities can be used later on. Having to rush back to the Lakeshore side via boat in the heat right after a session detracted from the spa experience. Butler Service & Preferences This was the primary area needing improvement. The butler service lacked coordination and felt impersonal. Having a dedicated, assigned butler who retains preferences would make a huge difference. Furthermore, despite filling out a pre-arrival preference sheet (covering favorite foods, cocktails, room cleaning schedules, etc.), these details were not implemented. For instance, our room was unserviced when we returned for a afternoon nap, forcing us to wait while it was cleaned. Despite these small operational and design missteps, it was a memorable stay with truly amazing hospitality for the most part. We would happily return!

From the arrival at the Lakeshore property to getting on the island on a private boat ride; the experience has been magical. The estate is simply gorgeous; surrounded by the magical Udai Sagar Lake and the hills. However the true definition of a memorable stay lies with the service. Butler service with the daily turn down, rose milk bath etc. everything was immaculate. A very special shoutout to Dinki from the Patissiere restaurant. The most meticulous and friendly staff who constantly anticipates our needs and remembers our food preferences. She makes our breakfast experience each day amazing! We love her passion and enthusiasm in her job :) truly a wonderful staff member.
