Taj Lake Palace

I honestly cannot begin to explain how incredible the food was at Neelkamal, Taj Lake Palace. This is one of those meals that stays with you long after you leave. First things first — you must make a reservation. The restaurant is open only for dinner, and trust me, it is worth planning your evening around. Chef Muskaan Dahuja served us the Laal Maas and Dal Baati Churma, and I still can’t believe what she created. I don’t even eat lamb or mutton, but after tasting this Laal Maas… I ended up eating the meat too. That is the magic of an exceptional chef — making you experience something you never thought you would. The flavours were unreal. The Laal Maas with the Warqi Parantha was an absolute dream combination — it genuinely felt like tasting heaven. I still don’t know how Chef Muskaan and her team managed to create something so beautifully balanced and unforgettable. She even came by to ask how the food was, and that little gesture meant so much. Such warmth, humility, and hospitality. A special mention to Nirjala, who took care of us throughout the evening. I was completely full by the end of the meal, but she insisted we try the Jalebi with Rabdi — and I am so glad she did. The rabdi was unlike anything I have ever tasted. So creamy, made with fresh malai, rich and absolutely divine. I wanted to try so many more dishes, but I was already completely satisfied with this beautiful meal. If you are visiting Udaipur, do yourself a favour — don’t miss making a reservation at Neelkamal in Taj Lake Palace. This wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience. Easily my favourite memory from Udaipur. ❤️

The property is beautiful what makes the stay better is amazing hospitality. Shout out to Amit Singh,nirjala and Pradeep at Neel kamal they’re just amazing staff . And the food by chef muskaan was out of this world ,must try their Lal Maas .

It was a wonderful experience right from entering the palace to everything that was done to make us feel like royals. The food was outstanding. Really enjoyed the flaky bread, biryani and amazing jalebi. Thank you to Pradeep, Chef Muskaan and Nirjala for taking such good care of us.

Vijay made our lunch a special event. After a long day of travel we enjoyed the amazing view while Vijay took great care of us. Looking forward to next meal!
