Taj Lake Palace

1. What went well : I was a little sceptical about the whole experience, as it was very difficult to reach the landline when I tried to call before the trip. But the stay was perfection. A. Ambience - a lovely property, well maintained. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we stayed in ‘Sandhya’ , a suite. The decor was classy, the chaise lounges, the divans facing the lake, the bed were all super comfy. Small touches like fruit, chocolates and cake on our anniversary added to the experience. The Mewar terrace, Saanjh, the lily garden, the swing in the spa garden - you can take photos in these places to make memories for a lifetime . B. Staff: This is where the property wins big. Trained, polite, professional- but more than that, they didn’t behave like hotel staff, rather as hosts welcoming guests to their home. Babu Singh the driver, Himanshu and Shruti at the front desk, Pramod, the maitre d at Jharoka , the guide on the heritage walk ( didn’t get his name) , Pecky at the spa, Bhagavan at the main entrance , and two utterly sweet young chaps Gajinder and Nitesh who were busy sweeping the terrace but who volunteered to take photos of us. 2. What could have been improved: very minor niggles - it was quite frustrating trying to reach the property by phone - maybe that could be looked in to. Also, more books in the library and more sets of chess pieces are needed. 3. Top tips: Take a package which includes at least one meal, so you don’t have to leave the property too often. Do take heed of Pramod’s excellent suggestions for food at Jharoka. Do not miss the heritage walk or the ghoomar. The evening cruise is chargeable, but worth it. The spa ( we took soma - the couples treatment) was expensive too, but so worth it! Thanks to Taj lake palace for making our 25th anniversary a very special experience!

The food by the chefs Babu Ji and Muskaan and the service by Oviesh was UNBEATABLE. I would sit at this restaurant for 2-3 hours straight just ordering food every 20 minutes because of how good it is. They were able to make us anything we wanted and killed literally every cuisine. Phenomenal chefs - if I could give this more than 5 stars I would. Never had better food in my life. Our server was so incredibly nice - he knew our orders and our customizations so well, he made us feel so much at home, and seeing him after a long day was such a relief! Thank you oviesh for all the mangos 🥭 Thank you Muskaan and Babu Ji for all the delicious food, we will never forget our stay at Taj Lake Palace and we will be back soon.

Literally the best place i have ever stayed in no exaggeration. Food, room, hospitality - 100/10!!

The food was delicious...we had ordered jain food and it was upto the mark...huge thanks to chef babu singh bhati and chef muskan for the lovely food....also special mention to alona for her excellent hospitality...staff are really nice and welcoming...great view...highly recommended for a relaxing weekend

Beautiful place with excellent experience. Suhana, Pradeep and Amit provided great food and service at Neelkamal. Chinmay guide was great at sunset tour. Food and hispitality at hotel and at Jharokha restaurant was really good. Great experience overall.
