Worst experience ever with a 5-star hotel property. Disclaimer: I have not stayed but my stay was cancelled by the hotel and the way they handled it, is what is shocking and unlike the standards for a hotel of such luxury standard. I received an email from the hotel saying that they have an offer for a full property buyout which is why they requested me to move my dates or OFFERED TO BOOK AN ALTERNATE HOTEL. My dates are not flexible. My stay if for the month of April, so they have cancelled this with less than a month to go for my reservation. I trusted them to do good by me and honour what they wrote in the email. It gets worse! To my shock, I got a call from their central reservations team telling me that it was better I cancelled the booking from my end and booked an alternate myself and to inform them of any fare difference that they would meet. She said that "hotel to hotel transfers take long so it's better if I do it." How ridiculous for them to make a statement like that. If they are the ones changing the reservation, the least they can do is put in the effort to move the reservation. ABSOLUTELY SHAMELESS! She also told me to inform them should if I require any "compensation" for my stay at the other property. I'm appalled by the way they have handled this. Whilst I was trying to be understanding of the situation, the fact that some representative has the audacity to call me and tell me to make another booking while holding a confirmed booking is ridiculous. If this is the standard this hotel holds, it's worth a thought whether it is worth the money. The only way to handle this correctly was to shift my booking on their own to the same category or above if required. But the way they have treated this issue is horrifying. Please rethink your stay if this is how they treat customers even before checking in.

The trip was very good as my kids got to enjoy their private pool and Me and my husband got to take a walk and enjoy the sports amenities. Srijoy, a waiter at the restaurant made our day even brighter by catering to us at our every need.

Truly luxurious place and a perfect place to relax after an extensive tour of Rajasthan. Staff are authentic and friendly though at times can appear robotic. Spa experience was one of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is an absolutely stunning hotel. It is located at the side of Lake Pichola with views across the lake to the royal palace in Udaipur. The location was used for some of the scenes in the classic film "Octopussy". We stayed for 3 nights. Hotels rooms are beautiful, ours had a small private terrace. Others have swim up pools. Lovely grounds and gardens. Hotel has a gym, spa and 2 outdoor swimming pools. I enjoyed a spa treatment and a complimentary yoga class. Beautiful food and really friendly service. Evening entertainment from traditional local dancers and musicians. Being beside a lake, insects can sometimes be an issue in the evenings, although we weren't bothered. Thanks everyone for a great stay!

Excellent property. A must visit place. If you haven't been there yet then you definitely missed something special. Awesome hospitality.
