The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur

Property and service is great however beds are very hard and uncomfortable and pillows flat. Sub par sleep experience. Prices are also very high.

Kapoor, Bliss, and the Chef & Server at The Mewar — the Lal Maas and Sangria were simply outstanding! The Oberoi never disappoints — Udaivilas has truly made it our favourite brand to begin with.

Simply incredible on every level - food, service, facilities staff. Particular thanks go to Armaan at the reception for looking after us so well. The Udaivillas is a class act all round.

This place was so beautiful it was hard to stop taking pictures. Its location is great as it provides with beautiful views of the town. The service was perfect, and the people so friendly. We stayed at one of the villas with a pool and it was magical to see the peacocks all over the place and hear the birds singing.

This was a small 3 night stay with my family. Having visited Udaipur on several past occasions, I have stayed in all major properties on Lake Pichola, but this hotel is special for its own reasons. The Oberoi hospitality was on grand display throughout our stay. In reality, it started before our arrival to the property. The hotel had made plans in advance to make our stay special. My father and I are Oberoi One Platinum and Gold members respectively, and as a sign of goodwill, they upgraded our stay to their one of a kind Kohinoor Suite. The suite featured two magnificent guest rooms with beautifully designed bathrooms with steam facility, and a large sitting/dining hall. The adjoining private terrace and the large private pool were also very tastefully designed, while boasting magnificent views of the property, lake Pichola, and the City Palace. Food was exquisite throughout our stay. The wonderful restaurant changed form from airy and sunny lunchtime to candlelit dinner time. The in room dining was also fabulous during our stay. The usual Oberoi touch of professionally laying out the dining table to perfection was greatly appreciated. The only non-perfect experience during my stay was the makeshift gymnasium, which had very few equipments. Further, the wellness building was under renovation, although my spa therapy was excellently delivered in one of their spa suites. The service and hospitality we experienced was top notch. I cannot name everyone in my review but I believe every single member we interacted with deserves to be mentioned, starting from the guard at the welcome point who happened to remember our names during our whole stay, to the wonderful front office staff and the rest of the staff members. We had a very memorable stay and I hope to return to this magnificent property very soon.
