Oxygen Jungle Villas

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel part of the Oxygen Family. The resort was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The menu was extensive but the chefs went above and beyond to ensure that our dietary needs were met. Our Jungle Villa was amazing having glass walls on three side enabling you to view the animals and birds especially at dawn and the room was well maintained on a daily basis by the housekeeping staff. With a well appointed bar and restaurant with amazing views the bar/serving staff excelled whilst the reception staff were extremely helpful on all matters organising trips and excursions. We especially would recommend the Mangrove Tour and The Whale Watching which were good and value for money. A visit to the Whale Tail Brewery is also highly recommended. A highlight of our visit was a Cookery Class which was not only informative but good fun.

My Wife and I chose Oxygen for our honeymoon location, and could not have been any happier with the experience. The staff was beyond accommodating and welcoming for us. My wife has celiac disease and the kitchen was able to provide phenomenal meals our entire trip. We ended up not eating out anywhere else due to the wonderful taste and absolute assurance of it being safe for my wife. We stayed in the jungle villa, and it was a perfect place to have our getaway after our wedding. We got two massage treatments and really enjoyed the novelty of the volcanic mud. The wildlife we saw on the property also exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to all the staff, and especially to Omar, Jason, Jazel, and Ballory for their contributions to our lovely stay. We will always remember this wonderful experience.

This place is truly special and so are the people. The hospitality from the front desk, to every part of the team, housekeeping, maintenance, wait staff, spa team, you name it were top levels of what hospitality should be. Everything was handled with care and kindness. The location is the perfect spot to really unplug and unwind. I loved there was no tv or phone in the room. It helped me stay offline from social as well. I truly spent time in nature and listen to sounds. It’s not an all inclusive space but the value for what you get and experience is so worth it. Breakfast is included and the portions are generous. The housekeeping team were really amazing. I had spilled something and they were gracious and came the next morning and changed my sheets and throughly cleaned the space. I was extremely impressed because I typically have to do my own thoughtful cleaning and they were on point. The place is very quiet and lowkey. Everyone from guest were friendly and everyone keeps to themselves. What you do hear is nature and the animals and that is a part of the experience which I truly enjoyed. One thing I recommend trying to explore the space and the waterfalls. I didn’t make it fully to them but I tried and just being in nature was amazing. If you don’t chose to rent a car the staff can arrange car service and the drivers on property are amazing. Mau is a treasure, he truly is great and got me to the airport in rough weather and gave me an experience of local food I won’t forget. Trust if you are considering coming to Oxygen it is definitely worth it. I came to relax and be restored yet they can plan excursions if you like. I recommend if you come to go to the local Mercado and support the locals. It’s a great place open Wednesday and Saturdays with local vendors. I also went to Whale Tails to the beach because I always have to be close to water and get in it. They do whale tours but I just some exploring on my own. Whatever you decide it will be amazing with this wonderful staff.

The team at Oxygen were absolutely brilliant. We primarily spoke with Aaron, Borman and Katiana (who were all excellent) but all staff were very welcoming, easy to speak with and made our experience very memorable. The hotel in itself is beautiful, there is a natural trail with a waterfall and the design of the rooms is very nice too. In addition, the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive and the food is exceptional, the flavour combinations are delightful too. We attended for a honeymoon and despite a power-cut (out of the hotel’s control), it was a lovely experience and we would recommend visiting the hotel if you can, it will be memorable! Thank you.

The hotel is simply amazing! Good atmosphere, incredible view, good food and drinks and the staff is very lovely and helpful! Very confortable and spacious room. Location up in the hills, you need a 4x4 vehicle to get there.
