The Arrabelle at Vail Square, A RockResort

This is our 30th+ stay. Probably the last. October 10th is not peak season but it’s not an excuse for a woefully substandard guest experience. Front desk on a Saturday? Indifferent, almost smug. On a Saturday evening? Guy stepping out with a mouthful of food. Want to watch college football? Nope. No service. Engineer in room telling me he forgot to bring batteries. Restaurant? Closed. Turn down service? No. $1500 a night, yes. Still constant - the best bell/parking staff I have ever seen. Zero drop off since our first stay in 2009. We went to the Four Seasons bar. Buzzing, joyful, staff smiling and attentive everywhere. Opposite of Arrabelle. Sad to write this.

Vail is my husband and mines “happy” place. We appreciate good food and service, and have spent the last 30 years going up at least 3 times a year. This was our first time at the Arrabelle, our normal hotel did not have availability.. Although the overall property is nice, the service is lacking. We have no issue paying $500 a night or more, but with that we expect a certain level of service. I had to pay an extra $20 to get our room cleaned because we were there only two nights. They provided no turn down service. Only provided 2 bottles of water our entire stay. No ice bucket in the room. The hot tubs had rust and one of them had a huge pile of chemicals in the bottom of it.

This was our 4th stay at the Arrabelle, and as always it didn't disappoint. We love the location in Lionshead Village which is an easy walk or bus ride to Vail Village so you really never need a car. There is usually some type of fun event happening in the square next to the hotel and this time it was a free concert followed by a weekend art festival. The rooms are large and well-appointed and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a great place to stay in Vail.

This hotel is a bit dated, service isn’t great, pool very small. Food at the restaurant is hit or miss. Location good if you are just in Vail to say you went to Vail and want to hang out at the “for the tourists” town center. Really, Vail is overrated entirely. I was there for a conference, otherwise it’s skippable.

The room was spacious, the location could not be better, but most impressive was the attentive and wonderful staff. Natalie - the concierge - directed us to amazing activities. Date of stay: July 2026
