Relaxing stay in a beautiful setting

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Booked this hotel through Qantas Hotels and got a great deal. Warm welcome from staff and massive, well appointed room with a view, including Eagle Bahn gondola. Shower had good pressure and bath was as big as a small pool! Breakfast is included and there is a great range of western breakfast fare, including a chef preparing omelettes. Coffee is very average, but hard to find anything decent for a coffee snob from Melbourne Australia. I recommend the Two Arrows in Vail village for great coffee - barista style. The in house spa is highly recommended but pricey. Relaxing experience which included a glass of Prosecco and raspberry sorbet. This hotel is in Lionshead village, rather than Vail village. It is about a 15 minute picturesque and flat walk in to the centre of Vail village.

Don't expect a clean room unless you stay for 4 days !!!!!

NEVER will I EVER recommend this hotel as I had to my friend recently. He booked a day in advance and was given a room for $1200 per night for 2 nights. OK it's expensive, VERY expensive but it's a luxury hotel right ? When he came back to his room after a full day of skiing and his room wasn't made by up housekeeping he assumed "well they are just late". He went to the desk after 6pm to ask when they would make up the room. They told him they only send housekeeping if you are staying 4 days or more. YOU MUST BE KIDDING ?

Kudos to your team!

Lovely property, huge rooms, very comfortable and elegant, well situated with beautiful views. Dog friendly. Attentive staff — friendly, helpful, but did not hover. Special shout out to the staff behind the scenes; this is not a new property, yet it is well maintained and staff are very responsive. You have a good team who can solve any hiccup efficiently, pleasantly, knowledgeably, and to our satisfaction. Stayed in late fall before ski season. Dog liked it, too. We’ll be back.

Disappointed 😔

We booked a 4 bedroom premier residence over Christmas week. 7 days. You can imagine the cost. Nothing has met my expectations, except for the location. Concierge service- terrible. I reached out to them in July with my requests, they only met one of them, then booked me in sub par restaurants. Room service-pathetic - missing items. House cleaning was a joke (barely wiped a counter) until I complained, which made it better, but still not great. No fun activities over a holiday week, so sad. They better up their game.

Management

Our stay at the Arabelle was cut short due to a power outage the hotel experienced the first night we arrived. We totally understand this is an unforeseen event and stressful to staff. With that said the customer service has been extremely distasteful and poor. We were told we had to move hotels and were given two options to choose from, and that they would reserve the room for us. Not once was a price difference discussed or that a new payment would be needed, just that this would be a transfer. Their systems were down and we were told we’d receive a refund once the hotel was up and running. When checking in to the new hotel we now find out that we must pay out of pocket and this is not a complete transfer. Frustrated as we just spent a night with no power, electricity, and no safety equipment like flashlights provided, we chose to enjoy the rest of our stay. We also lost a medication that needed to be refrigerated since power was out. The Arabelle was up running on Sunday. After calling multiple times I was told the refund would be provided by Wednesday the latest. It is now Thursday and management still has not issued a refunded or provided an update, just that a refund will be coming. When I called the Arabelle today (Thursday) I was told that management is still working on this and to expect a call by Friday the latest. What a lack of care after just experiencing a wrench in our vacation plans and acquiring additional lodging costs. Luckily we stayed at the The Hythe down the road and had an amazing stay and customer service experience which made up for the 6 hours spent at the Arabelle and overnight outage, and the post trip stress of dealing with their management.
