We had an awesome family stay in early summer. The hotel is beautiful and everyone we encountered was so nice and helpful. It was quiet in Vail when we were there, and it was lovely. Not all the shops were open in town, and the main restaurant was closed at the hotel. Neither of that was an issue, just sharing. The pool, hot tub, s’mores each night and complimentary shuttle were all great touches. They also have an “Adventure Locker” where you can check out games, hiking equipment, cameras and nice rain jackets if it rains. Our kids loved this! Breakfast in the cafe was great each morning. The only thing that was a bit odd was that the bar closed at 8:00 pm even when the bar was full. It would be nice if they had the flexibility to stay open a bit longer when busy. The bartenders were very accommodating and did let everyone know in advance of the closing.

I recently celebrated a milestone birthday at the Hythe with a large group of family and friends. We had an outstanding experience. It’s a gorgeous hotel - from the lobby, to the rooms to the bar area - all spacious and well-designed. But the best part was the service provided by the hotel staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel special every day. Meg helped us plan the entire 4-day event and provided many extras, like a champagne toast, a gift basket for my room, etc. Christian at the bar was SO friendly and worked magic for our large group. The concierge, Charlie, sent gifts to my brother’s room when he realized they came from the same town. Even the valet went above and beyond, helping us find a perfect hiking spot. I can’t wait to go back.

This is a lovely hotel. Unfortunately I had an important video call that I needed to take during my trip, and I found out mid-stay that there was no place for me to take it. I had to ask my spouse stay with the kids in their room, which was unfortunate. Otherwise, we had a nice stay.

We stayed at The Hythe Vail for three nights and had over ten thousand dollars worth of personal property stolen directly from our locked hotel room. This included an Apple Vision Pro, a Chanel bag, and ski goggles. The items were not left out. They were inside zipped bags in our luggage. The in-room safe was too small to accommodate them, which is unacceptable for a hotel charging luxury prices. Someone went into our bags and selectively took high-value items. No one had access to our room except hotel staff. What is truly unbelievable is that after the fact, the hotel somehow determined that there was only one possible person who entered our room on all three days who could have taken the items. Amazing how quickly that conclusion was reached. Even more alarming, there are no cameras in the hallways. For a so-called luxury hotel, the complete lack of basic security infrastructure is shocking. The response from management was dismissive and devoid of urgency. There was no accountability, no meaningful investigation, and no concern for the seriousness of what happened. Being robbed inside your own hotel room is violating. Being treated like it is an inconvenience rather than a crime is infuriating. This hotel charges over two thousand dollars per night while offering motel-level security and a total lack of regard for guest safety. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and have never experienced anything like this. Not once. If you value your belongings or your peace of mind, do not stay here. Paying luxury prices only to be stolen from and brushed off afterward is an absolute disgrace. This is not a luxury hotel. It is an unsafe property that does not protect its guests.

We just stayed 2 nights to celebrate my 50th birthday and Charlie from the Concierge arranged with my husband to surprise me with a bottle of wine and beautiful room decorations. We booked a Mountain View balcony room and we very much enjoyed our view of the slopes both pre snow and during the 1st snow of the season. It was magical! On our first night we had a light dinner at Revel and took advantage of the whiskey tasting and s’mores. The location cannot be beat. Every employee at the restaurants was very friendly and attentive. The only negative had to do with our interactions with Simmon the front desk employee. He kept calling us on our cellphone and room phone alleging the credit card on file had failed. He ruined our last evening at the hotel. We later confirmed with another front desk employee that there was no issue. It seems he needs training not only with the credit card system, but on how to communicate with guests. This is the 1st time in 30 years we have been married and traveling that this has happened to us anywhere in the world. Even today, both of our credit cards still show several pending charges even though it was already charged and posted on our Marriott and credit card accounts. We are Titanium members who travel quite a bit and we have never encountered such a weird and annoying attitude.
