The location, service, and people make this stay wonderful. You can literally walk outside of the lodge and be on the gondola within 2 minutes. The food is absolutely wonderful. The location in the village is perfect with tons of great restaurants, shops, and experiences very nearby.

Bryan Finocchiaro went above and beyond to make my stay excellent! We were treated with so much kindness and support! My mom is disabled so they picked us up and took us wherever we needed to go. I also have a large dog that they welcomed and went above and beyond for. Truly exceptional service! Highly recommend!

The location is excellent, and the staff was exceptional. They were very helpful and willing to assist. The hotel is located in the Village, where dining, shopping, and entertainment are within walking distance. I must during the winter months or the summer months.

We got to the first room, there were a couple of minor issues, they took care of it, went downstairs, spoke to Katie, the manager, the next day, she upgraded us to a suite. It was unbelievable, the view was remarkable, the entire staff at the hotel, from the front desk, to the restaurant, everything was perfect, including the location. I can’t wait to go back next year. I would highly recommend The Lodge. Thank you, Dan and Dianna Provenzano

Based on recent reviews I had some concerns but wanted to stay near Vail Village, booked last minute and didn't have a lot of options. Overall I was satisfied with our two bedroom deluxe suite: PROS: * Location, Location and Location. This property is very close to Gondola One which is what all but parents of young kids who need the magic carpet will desire for a ski trip. It's also conveniently located to shopping and many restaurants and bars. You can easily access Gondola One on the second floor near Elway's and the Cantina Restaurants. * Ski check at Gondola One. * Good service from staff, especially the valets. One desk clerk had a bit of an edgy "not my job to know" attitude but the rest where very nice, friendly and accommodating. * For room 405, a lovely high ceiling, two story fireplace (though it was too warm to use for our trip), large bedrooms, comfortable mattress and pillows, extra large double sink in the primary, decent decor, comfortable furniture, nice pool, hot tub & mountain views. The kitchen was well equipped with a new glass top oven, and the coffee carafe was a nice touch for this caffeine addict. * Option to park at the hotel, but be advised it's a $50/day option in the high season. CONS: * Like any 20+ year old ski condo that is a rental some surfaces like the dinning table, carpet, furniture fabrics, wood trim and counters are dated, dinged up or worn out. * The shower door is functional, but worn and dated for a property at this price point and the tub did not have a stopper. * One stair railing was loose and unsafe. I told the desk as we checked out. OBSERVATIONS & CONCLUSION: For an adult ski trip for avid skiers the pros outweighed the cons and I would stay here again. Some reviews complained about noise, but that was not my experience. It could be my room was more soundproof or neighboring units where empty. I suspect decor and amenities are up to the owners of each unit. A few that we passed looked more updated. If you want quiet, ask for an upper floor. If you want shiny and new accommodations, you will be better off at Lionsgate Village but will have to sacrifice location. The AC units obviously were not used for out trip but they do look like an ancient add-on and if you are traveling in summer, this could be an issue for you based on last summer's reviews.
