Second stay at Manor Vail - mixed experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We stayed last year in August and returned this July. While the location is beautiful and convenient, the rooms are in serious need of updates - especially considering the price point. There is no air conditioning, and with no ceiling fans either, the rooms get uncomfortably hot, especially in the summer. Being on the first floor, we couldn’t leave the windows open for airflow, which made it feel like we were baking inside. The plug-in fan provided was so loud it made it hard to sleep, turning what was meant to be a relaxing weekend into a hot and noisy one. July is also a much busier time; the resort was full of families and kids, which made things a bit loud at all hours. If you’re looking for a quieter, more peaceful stay, late August is a better time to go. Additionally, the room felt dated and not very clean, there were visible carpet stains, and the pillows were overly firm and bulky, making them uncomfortable to sleep on. This place has potential, but they really need to invest in some basic upgrades to meet the expectations of summer guests.

Lovely property, close to village but much quieter and secluded

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Great stay! The property is lovely with beautiful grounds and very spacious and comfortable rooms. We stayed on the creek side which seemed a little more quiet and secluded than the other side. Quick 10 minute walk to the village, which made it the perfect spot to relax in a quiet space but still be near all the action.

Wonderful place to stay with terrific staff!

This place was wonderful from start to finish—wonderful staff and a less than 5 minute walk to the concert venue. Staff was knowledgeable about dining options, walk to downtown and concert venue. The beautiful grounds that were in full bloom at the end of May were an unexpected bonus.

Very comfortable accommodations, very pleasant and helpful staff, and a very convenient location (easy to walk to Vail Village or the Ford Amphitheater).
