Never keep a word or promise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Promises are never kept. Friendly as long as no questions are asked or no criticism uttered. They switch of the air on in the room corridors in the afternoon. The same in the room when the guest is out. So you return to a sauna which takes hours to cool again. The “ smart tv “ can not even change languages. This is done deliberately so staff has not come and help every guest. Breakfast is adequate, nothing more. Some staff great, some arrogant and running over guests. One of my personal things was, I accept accidentally, taken from my room by the cleaning staff and not returned. The hotel refused to reimburse me the value even though it was less than 50 Euro. I. Spain, certainly in Valencia, money goes only one way. The courtyard is their big asset. Great to sit there and enjoy a drink. Forget the food. Inadequate and overpriced. The rooms are great. Spacious and clean. But there are just always broken promises in this hotel. One thing today is another thing tomorrow. As a long stay guest do not appreciate real service or respect. Only smiles with no content behind them. I make exceptions for several staff members but a 5 star hotel should not depend on a person but on a system, and on consistency. They were great to my dog. But they make no progress, don’t want to learn. I am now mad that they want to fight a guest over a small value item they took. Over less than 50 Euro. It is unprofessional. Bad for business. They wanted an invoice when I bought the thing. Ridiculous for that value. But it shows the lack of class, even style. And understanding. Valencia as a whole is a big village, light years behind Madrid and Barcelona. Don’t bother before you saw the rest of the world

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful city

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We chose it because it's a Westin and knew there'd be spacious rooms, comfortable beds, hot showers and a restaurant that was open before 8 pm so we could eat a small snack before having the regular Spanish dinner. We were right on all counts and got excellent hospitality and a beautiful hotel into the bargain. This hotel is in a lovely neighborhood. Staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed both Valencia and this hotel.

Luxury in Valencia with proximity to city center

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

A historic building turned into a luxury hotel and personifies high end 5 star accommodation and perfect location to the city center. It still on the perimeter with quiet location with walking proximity to the park and city center. If you are in Valencia this is a must stay location to enjoy and see Valencia. Breakfast is good and restaurant is setup in a garden. The art collection is a must see with amazing art collections. The rooms are large and spacious. The staff from checkin to concierges are there 24 by 7 to help one’s stay. I would highly recommend one to stay here to get both the tranquility and still be close to city center action. One can wake up and run/walk/hike in the park that runs across Valencia to 8-10 miles which is just remarkable benefit this city provides to its people.

A wonderfully comfortable hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The Westin Hotel is in the centre and the building (a former wool-factory) dates from 1917. Fully renovated in 2006, the hotel offers 135 rooms over 2 floors. Furnishings and decoration provide a quiet, top-quality atmosphere. The hotel has a 2 restaurant, café, bar, meeting rooms & art gallery, gym (open 24/7), spa & pool (open from 07:00 to 21:00). Service is impeccable. We were upgraded to a larger room at floor 2. Our comfortable room had desk & chair, air-co, TV, 2 club chairs & coffee-table, Nespresso & tea facility, an excellent kingsize bed, complimentary mineral water, and a wardrobe with safe & ironing facility. We had a separate bathroom with washbasin, shower & bath, and a separate toilet & bidet. All was impeccably clean. A particularly good buffet breakfast is served: eggs made to order, cold cuts & cheeses, breads & toast, cereals & fruits, milk & yoghurts, juices & preserves, rolls & croissants, and tea & coffee made to order. The Westin is a wonderfully comfortable hotel, and we had a pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay at Westin in Valencia. Hotel is in ideal location to explore both the old town and enjoy the walks alongside the Turia Gardens. Beds are very comfortable. Fitness center is excellent with a lot to offer. Pool area is good with Steam bath and Sauna next to it.
