Known for its healing and protective properties, quartz provides the bedrock of El Santuario Resort & Spa. Built atop a quartz mountain, this splendid retreat is just two hours from Mexico City in central Mexico, but its atmosphere invites you to leave the world behind. Within this unique enclave, you will find a series of soothing installations, including the Swan Plaza, symbolizing rebirth, and Water Pond, representing a bridge between the physical and spiritual world. Arranged to suggest a waterfall, the suites are crafted to promote harmony, beginning with a calming fountain beside each bed.

We were considering staying at this property because my partner had a work function scheduled there. We planned to attend together and travel with our two small service dogs. Unfortunately, the quote we received was extremely high and included additional charges that we have never encountered before even when staying at many established 5-star hotels around the world where service animals are typically accommodated without issue. When we called to ask for clarification on the pricing and policies, the interaction with the staff was very unpleasant. The person on the phone was dismissive and unhelpful, which made the experience feel unwelcoming from the start. After this conversation, I looked through other guest reviews and noticed several people mentioning concerns about cleanliness, unpleasant odors, and poor service. Considering the prices being quoted, this was surprising. Based on the pricing structure and the customer service we experienced during the booking inquiry, we ultimately decided not to stay and will be recommending other hotel options in Valle de Bravo for future work events.

Great room and location, the facilities are impressive. However, we weren’t too impressed with the service, especially at the restaurants. The staff were really inattentive and not friendly every time we visited the restaurants. We had to ask many times to get something and it generally felt super disorganized. The prices were very high so you would expect something better. We decided to eat outside of the hotel whenever we could. We also felt a bit pressured to write good reviews at the dinners since they come by your table with a QR code asking for a review. The same process happens at checkout.

My stay at El Santuario in Valle de Bravo was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the peaceful energy that surrounds this holistic resort, serenity is truly at the heart of everything here. The facilities exceeded all my expectations; every space is thoughtfully designed to help you relax and reconnect with yourself. The staff was absolutely wonderful, and I have to give special thanks to Carmen, who made sure every detail was perfectly taken care of. Her kindness and attention made me feel completely at home. The food was phenomenal - fresh, nourishing, and full of flavor - a perfect complement to the whole experience. If you’re looking for a place where you can truly unwind, find inner peace, and be cared for in every way, El Santuario is it. I can’t wait to return with my family.

Wow! Truly a breath of fresh air for anyone looking to get away from their daily routine. I live in Mexico City and live a very fast pace life. Arriving at El Santuario the view alone of the lake was a site to see. The staff is well trained to attend to the needs of the guests, I felt well taken care of during my stay. They offer a variety of activities from meditation, spa services, lake activities, etc for all guests to enjoy. I particularly enjoyed the ariel/fire show that was provided during dinner.
