My husband and I had the most incredible stay at AX Hotel Saint John in Valletta! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and pampered. The highlight was definitely the special birthday surprise they arranged for me in our room, it was incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and made me feel so celebrated. The attention to detail throughout our stay was impeccable, and every interaction with the team was warm and genuine. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Valletta. We truly felt spoiled, and it’s clear that AX Hotel Saint John genuinely cares about creating memorable experiences for their guests. We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and will definitely be returning on our next trip to Malta!

The hotel is modern, clean and very well organised. With great food and very good, helpful staff. Particularly Mohammad Tarik. He couldn’t do enough for us.

I had 4 nights here for business. I’d wanted a central location but not too noisy and this hotel lived up to expectations. My room had little natural light but was wonderfully quiet. It was also comfortable and clean. The staff were attentive and v friendly. Special shout out to Mohammed who looked after me well while I waited to get access. Excellent breakfasts. All in well worth it

I had a wonderful solo stay at the Rosselli Hotel in Valletta. The location is unbeatable — perfectly central and incredibly walkable, making it easy and safe to explore the city on foot. The staff were outstanding across the board: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special shout-out to Umair at the front desk, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and thoughtful throughout my stay. He truly went above and beyond and made me feel very well taken care of. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. As someone who is breastfeeding and pumping while traveling, I really appreciated having a mini fridge in the room, which made things so much easier and stress-free. The hotel also provides excellent toiletries, which was such a thoughtful touch — especially helpful if you forget anything while traveling. The complimentary wine was a lovely surprise, and dining at Under Grain, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, was an absolute highlight — truly top-notch and unforgettable. Highly recommend Rosselli for solo travelers, parents traveling postpartum, or anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and exceptional service in Valletta. I would absolutely stay here again.

From the moment we checked in, we were welcomed with a perfect balance of professional service and a warm, "homely" atmosphere that continued until the moment we left. ​The Highlights: ​The Food: Breakfast was a standout experience. Everything is cooked to order, incredibly fresh, and offers a fantastic variety. A special thank you to the breakfast team—Samjhana, Daman, and Rohit—who were all so friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. ​The Atmosphere: As a Michelin-starred establishment, the quality shows. The outdoor seating area is beautiful and adds a real touch of luxury to the stay. ​The Service: This is where the hotel truly shines. Umair was incredibly helpful during our stay, but our biggest thanks must go to our butler, Hark Chand. His professionalism, politeness, and eye for the "finer details" made our stay truly memorable. He anticipated our every need. ​A Note on the Room: Our room was a bit on the smaller side with an unusual layout (it lacked a dedicated makeup mirror/vanity space), and we found the TV system a bit slow/difficult to navigate. However, the room was spotlessly clean and maintained to a very high standard, which more than made up for the quirks. ​If you are visiting Valletta, we definitely recommend staying here.
