We chose the Rosselli for its central location within a few minutes on foot to the most important sites in Valletta. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Mohammad the concierge greeted us on arrival and made restaurant suggestions as well as arranging private tours. He is exceptional as well as other staff members who made our four night stay very enjoyable. Our Junior suite was comfortable and quiet despite the busy location. We did find it odd that there were no large mirrors for dressing in our and also limited electrical outlets, an annoyance for a hotel which otherwise executes so well in every other regard. The restaurants on premises are excellent and I highly recommend breakfast at Street Grain. Overall this is an excellent hotel and reasonably priced for the level of service that it delivers.

We had a wonderful experience at the AX St. John Hotel. Mr. Mohammad Tarik was exceptionally kind, he provided us with a map and helpful recommendations on what to visit in Malta, helped us with our luggage, and even offered to assist us if we had trouble finding a restaurant. He was always friendly and smiling. The reception staff were also very kind and welcoming. We would gladly visit again!

Hotel is very good overall. The location is excellent, being locally centrally within Valletta. The room was very clean and was quite unique, especially its architecture, as a result of the building's age. The service was also very good. Mohammad, the concierge, was also very helpful and willing to give recommendations, which was greatly appreciated as a solo traveler. Definitely a good option when traveling to Valletta.

Hotel was very central and close to all restaurants and sights. We were allocated a room on the ground floor which I found rather odd as it had a staircase within the room, making it too exposed but Mohammad Tarik Hagi was most helpful in securing for us an alternative, more conventional room on the first floor, and also helped with orientation advice around the city. The rooms are a little austere with a surfeit of marble on the floor and walls. Arun was first rate in making up our room each day and for the delivery of the evening chocolate! The breakfast staff are also great, especially Samjan (sorry I know I have spelt your name wrong) was always so pleasant and obliging. The breakfast is worth the investment. It’s not cheap but there is an extensive choice and you can basically order as much as you can eat. We didn’t dine at the restaurant in the evening as there is such a wide range of competitively priced restaurants from which to choose on hand, to suit all pockets. Some noise from next door bar.
