About the Hotel
When it debuted at the height of the Roaring Twenties, Rosewood Hotel Georgia established itself as the Canadian destination for entertainment royalty. Marlene Dietrich showed up with 40 of her suitcases, John Wayne sauntered over the threshold, and Bing Crosby topped a never-ending list of headline entertainers. British Columbia’s top radio station, CKWX, broadcasted from the penthouse for more than a decade. Today, after a 2011 renovation, old-world touches still glimmer in a thoroughly modern hotel, a revival of the Golden Age of Travel. There’s a funky, mosaic-tiled indoor pool and a gourmet room service menu that serves late into the night (you can thank Audrey Hepburn’s list of demands for that one).

Rosewood Georgia Hotel is a top class hotel in Downtown Vancouver. Really top class with nice bars and restaurants. Rooms great and beds comfortable. Recommended.

Beware the loud outdoor cinema across the road in summer !!!! Hotel not worth the cost.
After originally being “upgraded to a beautiful room we were very disappointed in the noise levels - the room looked directly over outdoor cimema with large speakers. So uncomfortable we had to move rooms and only room available(?) which was smaller than the room we originally booked and still noisy but less so. Altogether we felt our concerns were only vaguely acknowledged. Wish they had given us the room we had booked in the first place. They should have been upfront about the noise when we booked months ago. We would have booked elsewhere.

Great physical hotel. Great staff. Awful attention to comfort. The courtyard facing rooms (nearly 1/2) are inundated with thumping bass music from the restaurant below. If you want a luxury hotel to get away from it all and relax, this is NOT it. No sketching. No writing. No meditating. Nothing remotely like relaxation here. It is a constant drumbeat from 4pm until, well ... it's 10:17 now ... and I've read 10:30. Hotel concierge says 11. So we'll see. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. This is our second time here ... we did not experience this the first time. There will not be a third. Look at Google reviews: 34% unfavorable. That's a lot! They might lead with 5 star reviews, but dig a bit for the real dirt.

Calm and relaxing
My wife and I stayed at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia for several nights following a weeklong fishing trip to inland BC. We had stayed at other Rosewood hotels and the Hotel Georgia was on par with the other Rosewoods. After our time fishing my wife was extremely reluctant to part with the Italian bed linens. The staff was gracious and caring. Our room was large with a sitting area and expansive bath. The hotel was a perfect place to relax after time in the bush. Hotel restaurants were also excellent. I would highly recommend staying at the Georgia while in Vancouver.

Exquisite gem of a hotel
The Rosewood Georgia is an exquisite gem of a hotel. The attention to detail is just stunning, as is the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. The hotel itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained and our room was luxurious. The towels are thick and fluffy, the bed was so comfortable, and the turndown service was lovely. We will definitely be back!
