Fairmont Pacific Rim

Best hotel in Vancouver! Absolutely beautiful lobby with live entertainment, all of the staff are very friendly and the views from the rooms are incredible. I really enjoyed the Nordic Spa vibe they have on the 6th floor. This place is a dream.

We stayed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim back in August and had a mixed experience. Pros: • Location is excellent — right on the waterfront, close to shopping, and restaurants. • Some rooms offer great views of the harbor or city skyline. 🏙️ • Food was high quality, with well-prepared dishes and attractive presentation. 🍲 Cons: • The hotel felt snobbish, and the pricing seemed too high for what’s offered. • Upgrades for elite members were very limited — disappointing for a Fairmont property. • The hotel manager was notably unfriendly, which affected the overall experience. • Crowds from nearby cruises sometimes made the lobby and common areas hectic. Overall: Fairmont Pacific Rim has a prime location and good dining, but the overall experience was diminished by high prices, limited upgrades, and an unwelcoming atmosphere. It may suit travelers prioritizing location and food, but for service and value, it fell short of expectations.

Wonderful place to stay. Upon arrival we were greeted by Patrick who should be the face for Fairmont. A warm sincere person who made you feel right at home. The staff was great. Had a wonderful server for breakfast Ms. Mackenzie, very personable. Did not appreciate the upgrade hustle at the front desk when we checked in. Bar and restaurants were great. Easy walking to the waterfront. All were very accommodating. When we returned for our stay at the end of our trip, we checked in around 4.30 and were told the room was not ready but we could upgrade for an extra $100. The young lady at the front desk after some time checking with management came back and provided the upgraded room. It was not our fault the room was not ready and we should have been offered the upgrade at that time, I would highly recommend the hotel.

Checked in, unfortunately it was cruise ship day so it was very busy. I had an early morning arrival and dropped my bags with the bellman and explored the harbour. They texted me when my room was ready and upgraded me to a high harbour view room without using any of my loyalty points! Restaraunt and bar staff were engaging and genuine making you feel at home. Very central location to explore Stanley Park, the harbour and gastown.

We had a delightful stay at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. From the moment we entered, everyone from the hatted doorman to the Reception Desk staff to the bellman and concierge contributed to the upbeat vibe in this elegant hotel. My husband has health issues, and our 4 -night stay was a celebration of his improved health. The Front Desk took special care to ensure we would get a room that had not been occupied for 24 hours. When our flight was delayed 6 hours, and we checked in after 8:30 p.m., the Reception Desk clerks recognized who we were, expressed genuine concern, and had saved us a choice room on a busy night. The next day, the Doorman remembered our name. The housekeeping was immaculate. We chose the Pacific Rim for its location so we would not need a car. Not only is it within blocks of Canada Place, the Hop on Hop Off bus, the main transportation hub and ferries, we later discovered it was near the seawall walk to Stanley Park and was across from the Olympic Flame. We found many excellent eateries inside the hotel and within a few blocks, including Michelin Bib recommended restaurants, at various price points. If you get a city view, be sure to ask for a high floor. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. You will leave with a smile.
