Fairmont Pacific Rim

Absolutely faultless stay at the Pacific Rim hotel. We had the benefit of the Gold Lounge and this exceeded our expectations. Food throughout the day, be it breakfast, the afternoon, dinner or dessert was of an excellent standard. Service was brilliant but a special shout out to Nick and Fiona for the attention and personal service they provided. I also used the gym which was very well equipped.

Can’t recommend this hotel enough! We’ve done our fair share of luxury travel and cannot remember being so well taken care of. The staff genuinely goes above and beyond to care of your every need — even putting out blackout paper on one of our doors because we were getting too much natural light (wild!) Special shoutout to Roland, our bartender at the Botanist, for his incredible hospitality. He had us laughing all night and felt so welcome as Vancouver first timers. The food and drink at Botanist are amazing. Even the breakfast included with FHR is quite good. Room service chicken wings were delivered quickly and piping hot both times we ordered it. We had the Ofuro tub room on the 18th floor and it was dreamy to wind down our days watching the sea planes take off and land. The view is stunning. If you’re a foodie, into cocktails, and appreciate food service this is definitely the right hotel for you. If you’re sensitive to sound, try to get a room on a higher floor.

A Great Stay at the Fairmont Pacific Rim — Thank You, Rosie Nguyen Overall, our recent stay at the Fairmont Pacific Rim was excellent. Overall, the staff demonstrated the values of the Fairmont brand and a genuine commitment to the guest experience, particularly in how they responded to an issue we encountered during our stay. The meeting experience was exceptional. The food, staff, guest room, chairs, sound, setup, and overall support were all top-notch. However, we experienced an issue with our room that required us to move to another room at the request of the hotel. The process was not seamless or indicative of the Fairmont brand or expected level of commitment to the guest experience. I subsequently met with Rosie Nguyen, Front Office Manager, to share my feedback and help ensure the process could be addressed for future guests. Rosie listened attentively, thanked me for the feedback, and assured me that the issues would be addressed. While certainly not expected, Rosie and her team went above and beyond to ensure the remainder of our stay was exceptional. Their thoughtful response demonstrated how much they value their guests and reinforced the true Fairmont luxury experience. Thank you, Rosie, for listening, taking ownership, and turning an unforeseen situation into a very positive guest experience. Your professionalism and commitment to service are a credit to you, your team, and the Fairmont brand. I recently spent 3 nights at the Fairmont Pacific Rim during my first visit to Vancouver. I had a business trip to Seattle, and my partner decided to join me so we could drive up to Vancouver for a few days to celebrate my birthday. When choosing a hotel, I was really torn between the Fairmont Pacific Rim and the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Both looked wonderful, but I ultimately decided on the Fairmont because I liked the idea of staying in a newer, more modern property with views of the harbor. Unfortunately, the only harbor view rooms available had two queen beds rather than a king, which I would have preferred. But I decided the view was more important, and I'm glad I did. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful, modern, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated all the upgraded technology and electronic features throughout the room. Everything felt well thought out, and the bathroom was equally impressive, especially the Le Labo toiletries. I really couldn't have asked for much more from the accommodations. The service was also excellent. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful, particularly the bell and valet staff, who were wonderful throughout our stay. My only real criticism would be the atmosphere in the lobby, which can be extremely busy and loud. We arrived on a Saturday evening, and the lobby was so noisy that we could barely hear the front desk staff during check-in. It almost felt more like checking into a popular nightclub than a luxury hotel! Ha! Fortunately, it was considerably quieter the other evenings, so I suspect Saturday night is simply a particularly popular time for locals and visitors to gather there. Clearly, it's one of the places to be in Vancouver. Looking back, I suspect the Rosewood Hotel Georgia might have offered a quieter, more intimate luxury hotel experience, but we would have missed out on the beautiful harbor views and modern feel of the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Ultimately, I'm very happy with our choice. Overall, this is a beautiful luxury hotel with excellent accommodations, wonderful staff, and a fantastic waterfront setting. If you enjoy a modern luxury hotel with a lively atmosphere, I think you'll love it. I would absolutely stay here again, although next time I might try to find a harbor view room with a king bed!

The hotel has a very good location, but considering that the Fairmont Pacific Rim is regarded as one of the best luxury hotels in Vancouver, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The carpets looked extremely old and worn, some of the furnishings felt dated, and even the towels seemed very old and not what I would expect from a five-star luxury hotel. I was also disappointed with the lobby, which did not feel particularly elegant or impressive for a hotel of this level. What surprised me the most happened one evening when I had a guest visiting. At around 12:30 a.m., we were asked to leave the lobby. I found this extremely disappointing and inappropriate for a five-star hotel. I would expect a luxury hotel to handle its guests and their visitors in a much more professional and hospitable way. The location is excellent, but overall, the condition of the hotel and this experience with the service did not meet my expectations for a five-star property, especially one with such a strong reputation in Vancouver.
