Best hotel in Vancouver!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Such great service! Every single staff member we interacted with was great. Our Room on the gold floor was super nice and the lounge was a lot better than the airport fairmont gold. This was our best hotel experience ever, everything top notch!

A true five star hotel in every way

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Luxuious environment and suite, true five star standard and the customer service is first class. The hotel treated me like an individual with a personalised service, polite courtesy and nothing was too much trouble. Any questions or request were dealt with promptly and efficiently. I look forward to returning very soon and experiencing the amazing hospitality - thank you

Great location - could walk to the hotel from our cruise, walk to Stanly Park, & more. Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms & bathrooms, yummy food. Above all else - incredible service. Best ever.

Great location, aging rooms, declining service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We first discovered this hotel during our very first stay in Vancouver more than 10 years ago. We’ve been back 4 or 5 times since, including twice just this year. Things have changed a lot. The rooms have aged, but they remain clean and in fairly good condition. We stayed 4 nights before an Alaska cruise and then 3 nights after, for a total of 7 nights in an OFURO room. The view is incredible, but we spent 4 nights on the 19th floor and 3 nights on the 15th, and it’s definitely not as good. It was FREEZING in the bathroom in both rooms. The air conditioning is really noisy, so you either have to deal with heat or with noise… During our pre-cruise stay, our room still hadn’t been serviced at 4:30 pm on the second day, even though we had left before 9:30 am. What’s really frustrating, and what has changed the most in over 10 years, is that prices have gone up but service has gone down! You’re just a room number, and even at $1,000 a night don’t expect any special attention, no personalization of your stay at all… The hotel relies on its reputation and, to be fair, its exceptional location. It’s still a good 5-star, but with absolutely no attention to the guest. You’re paying for a standardized service, that’s it.
