Reviews for Fairmont Pacific Rim

Beautiful and expensive

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

I have a soft spot for Fairmont properties and this one delivered the luxury and quality that you would expect from the brand: I always stay on the Gold floor because I like having the convenience and access to their lounge, and this one was recently renovated so it was beautiful and clean. They have a concierge in the lounge that is proactive to your needs, and the spread of foods throughout the day were all delicious and presented well. The rooms on the Gold floor were all recently done as well I believe, and they are beautiful! They have Bocci lights and deep green velvet couches which felt truly luxurious. The location is not as central as some of the other nearby hotels, but it is right by the water which makes for a great walk in the morning. They have a bar in the lobby as well, with live music, which was a great place to wrap up the day with a nightcap. Overall, it was a luxurious and decadent stay, so expect to pay a pretty penny for it.

10 stars!

From welcome through departure, to cleanliness and the cute tucked away pool area, this was a wonderful 2-day stay. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, and their training produced the the loveliest staff. The doormen were incredibly friendly and offered the local driver (also lovely) to bring us to our destinations. I would say that while the hotel is beautiful, it does tend to look more “corporate meeting” than vacation hotel, yet offered bikes, nice gym and again nice pool and incredible hospitality. Thank you all for taking such good care of us!

High energy hotel that grew on me

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The Fairmont Pacific Rim is contemporary, high energy, and beautifully designed. Our room was amazing. The Ofuro tub — a deep Japanese soaking tub facing Coal Harbour — became the centerpiece of our stay! What started as a solo soak became a party for three friends on our last morning together. Breakfast was excellent, room service impeccable, and the late checkout via FHR gave us a long, leisurely final morning. Concierge Sophie Nguyen went above and beyond — when we asked for restaurant recommendation for our final night. She suggested Mott 32, and spoke directly to the manager to secure us a Peking duck without the usual 24-hour notice. That is the kind of care that turns a good stay into a great memory. One honest note for future guests: the bathroom sliding door is frosted glass, which floods the room with bright light by 6am. For light sleepers like me, this is worth knowing — bring an good eye mask. We never made it to the pool or spa — the room was simply too much fun to leave.

Live Like Royalty In Vancouver

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The Fairmont Pacific Rim delivered the kind of stay that makes you reconsider what "world class" actually means. From the moment we pulled up to the valet through every interaction with room service and housekeeping, the team made us feel like royalty — attentive without ever being intrusive, polished without feeling rehearsed. The room itself was a highlight. Soaking in the tub with the ocean and the North Shore mountains framed in front of us is an image I'll be holding onto for a long time. It's the kind of view the city is famous for, delivered from the comfort of your own suite. The hotel dining matched the rest of the experience. Even something as simple as a salmon roll was memorable — a small detail done with real care, which honestly says everything about the standard of this hotel. A stellar stay from start to finish. We'll absolutely be back.

Worst Fairmont Experience Ever — Injury, Ruined Trip, and No Follow-Up

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Extremely disappointing experience at this hotel, especially considering the Fairmont brand reputation. I stayed in Room 2219 on April 30, and this turned out to be the worst Fairmont experience I’ve ever had despite having stayed at multiple Fairmont properties over the years for travel and anniversary celebrations. First, the air conditioning in our room was broken. We spent hours waiting for maintenance, and the issue wasn’t resolved until after 4 PM, causing us to completely miss the lounge dining service that we paid for and planned our day around. Things became even worse afterward. While leaving the hotel for a walk, I twisted my ankle because of the uneven wooden boards at the hotel entrance. The injury ruined the rest of our trip plans. We had planned to spend the evening exploring Gastown and Yaletown, rent bicycles to ride around Downtown Vancouver the next morning, and continue shopping the following day. Instead, all of our plans had to be cancelled because I could barely walk. The only positive part of this experience was Sercan, who was very helpful and acted quickly after the incident. I truly appreciate his professionalism and assistance. What disappoints me most is that after such a serious incident, I have still received absolutely no follow-up, apology, or response from the hotel management. For a luxury hotel brand, this level of customer care and safety negligence is unacceptable. Very disappointed.
