A review of the Fairmont Pacific Rim is worth taking the time to write. This place is nothing short of a 5 star experience. It starts the minute you pull up to the front door. The Valets are top notch, welcoming you with a smile and starting your stay on the right foot. I would be remiss not to give a shout out to Patrick who goes above and beyond to make sure you are never waiting long for your car, and asking for the next time you may need it so he has it ready. But truthfully, they are all at this level of service. The secret weapon to a wonderful stay is this team. Second, the live music EVERY night. Enticing you to talk to the friendly host to grab a seat and order a drink and perhaps some made to order sushi in the lobby bar. The rooms are nicely appointed with a bed so comfortable we are going to purchase a mattress. The Spa is serene, clean and professional. The best seat in town for dinner is Botanist. Hands down. The hostesses are lovely, especially Maria who always smiles welcoming you. The thoughtful menu is spectacular. But it’s the bartending team that makes this place truly outstanding. Try one of their creations, order some food and enjoy the best night ever. All the bartenders are great, but Roland and Justin are as talented as they are friendly- going above and beyond on each visit that we couldn’t help but keep going back. The Gold Floor is worth it. Just book it. And breakfast service with Papas, Amrit and Kenny is a gold standard experience. A hotel with a water view, just steps from the cruise ships will be busy, but this place is ready to accept the challenge. This is now the only Vancouver hotel we recommend. Over and over again.

This chic hotel is perfectly located in a lively area. While our room didn’t have an ocean view, it was beautifully modern with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The staff’s impeccable service made our stay seamless. A fabulous property that we would gladly return to again.

Stayed at the pacific rim for 3 nights last week with my husband. We had a harbour/city view room on the 18th floor. Room was lovely - large bathroom with a big bath tub and rainfall shower, comfy bed and amazing views. The cleaners were very polite and friendly and did a great job. We also found the reception staff, concierge and doormen were excellent. A massive perk is the complimentary car they provide to take guests anywhere downtown - we’ve not had this at a hotel before and it was amazing. The reason I have knocked one star off is due to the food and spa. We decided to have breakfast at the hotel on our first morning and found it to be very average. A small glass of orange juice, a coffee, an eggs Benedict and a cooked breakfast came to over $90 and the quality did not match the price. I feel the continental breakfast buffet should be included for this price. We wanted to use the spa and went to look around but we weren’t overly impressed with the facilities - an outdoor pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. The mens sauna was out of use, but was still charged at the full price (if I remember correctly it was around $55 per person for 3 hours?). Overall a beautiful hotel in a great location, lovely staff, great room, but breakfast and spa could be improved

We had an amazing experience at Fairmont Pacific Rim. From the moment we checked in, the service stood out. Christian at reception was incredibly kind and helpful, she made us feel welcome and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. Breakfast each morning was a treat, especially thanks to Namiko. She was warm, attentive, and always had a smile on her face. It really set a positive tone for the day. We also had dinner at the Raw Bar, and it was fantastic. The sushi was fresh and beautifully prepared, and the chocolate hazelnut dessert was a lovely surprise—rich, balanced, and a perfect way to end the meal.

The staff at this hotel is so wonderful and we felt so well taken care of that the property itself becomes almost secondary. But that wouldn't be fair. Because we also loved the hotel itself. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable and we had some lovely views of the harbor. It is also in a great location if you like to walk or bicycle. We were at the Fairmont Gold level so that did make check in/out a little easier and ensure the room was on a higher floor. The staff in the lounge was very good. If I had to nitpick on one thing it would be that the lounge food offerings were rather chintzy and they were very slow to restock when things ran out. But everyone was very courteous and eventually got you what you needed. The hotel staff in general was very personable and always wanted to help in whatever way they could. No matter what came up they were there to take care of it. Also amazing was the restaurant in the hotel, Botanist. This is not an ordinary "just" a hotel restaurant. It is fine dining in a very comfortable setting. We had a delicious dinner there, but even breakfast and lunch were terrific. We are from NYC where there is no shortage of good restaurants, but Botanist was at an exceptionally high level of quality (both food and service) for all meals. And while we did not drink a whole lot, they had a beautiful bar with some very creative and tasty drinks. In all regards I would give this hotel an excellent rating and not hesitate to stay there again if we find ourselves back in Vancouver.
