Reviews for Fairmont Pacific Rim

Decent, but not perfect

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Stayed for one night. Pluses: the location is good, close to waterfront, within a short walk to shopping and art museum, many restaurants nearby. The rooms have been updated recently and look decent, art is a bit cheap and generic, but that's nit-picking. The bathrooms are quite nice, separate walk in shower with waterfall head, Le Labo Rose 31 toiletries, good quantity of towels. Now the cons: there's no sound isolation. We stayed on 14th floor city view and you could hear crosswalk beeps in the morning, not to mention traffic signals and sirens, and I had earplugs in. But don't think you'll be resting if you book the waterfront - the seagals start making noise at 6am and don't stop, which is quite annoying. The window sound isolation is nonexistent, I actually checked if the window was open (it wasn't). Also - there's no buffet breakfast. If you don't book a breakfast package, you have to order a la carte at the restaurant, and I suggest you check the prices, plus it is extra wait and dealing with waiters in the morning. Finally, the housekeeping wasn't great, hairs in the shower (multiple), there was some weird chocolate stain on the ceiling (!) that I decided not to investigate, but looked like it should have been wiped. So, I'll keep looking for that perfect Vancouver hotel.

Best hotel in Vancouver!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Such great service! Every single staff member we interacted with was great. Our Room on the gold floor was super nice and the lounge was a lot better than the airport fairmont gold. This was our best hotel experience ever, everything top notch!

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Luxuious environment and suite, true five star standard and the customer service is first class. The hotel treated me like an individual with a personalised service, polite courtesy and nothing was too much trouble. Any questions or request were dealt with promptly and efficiently. I look forward to returning very soon and experiencing the amazing hospitality - thank you
