Great stay except dining experience K

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 hours ago

Great room, quiet with no airport noise, comfortable room and beds. Dinning is very hard to get a table on a Sunday, due to high tea and airport traffic without reservations, you will be like us ordering room service, and paying extra for the inconvenience.

Exceptional Service and Comfort at YVR Airport

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The staff at YVR Airport are outstanding. From check-in to check-out, and everywhere in between, their service shines. The room was fantastic, with an extremely comfortable bed, and the plane noise was non-existent due to the multi-pane glass. The hotel was impeccably clean, adding to the overall comfort. Additionally, the Fairmont Gold experience was exceptional, featuring a great breakfast and delightful evening canapés. It was a truly great stay!

Vancouver Fairmont Airport Hotel Afternoon Tea.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I can recommend sharing lively conversation & giggles with a friend over Afternoon Tea For Two in Globe@YVR(Vancouver Fairmont Airport Hotel)! I began with a Lavender Fizz with Empress Gin & my friend Jeff, a fan of zero-alcohol drinks had a purple passion with purple Butterfly Pea Flower syrup. Each of our teas were French- pressed in a bodum. My Ontario Icewine tea was white tea from China with Riesling & berry notes. Jeff’s Blue Lady, blended in Canada had flavours of passion fruit , grapefruit, orange & grenadine. Our 3-tiered afternoon tea began with 4 types of savouries & sandwiches one of which was smoked salmon stuffed into a black charcoal brioche bun. A savoury & a sweet scone followed. Eat slowly or you will be full before the 4 desserts which include a chocolate eclair with hazelnut praline! Thanks to our server Jade, who was so lovely & accommodating & therefore elevated our happy experience.

End of cruise stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed in the hotel two nights before our cruise tour of Alaska and the Yukon. As we checked out, we mentioned that the mattress was not comfortable and seemed to have a high point in the middle and sloped off to the sides. The desk clerk apologized for the inconvenience and offered an upgrade to one of the deluxe suites and a $50 dining credit for our stay on the return from our cruise/tour. On our return from the cruise, we stayed two nights and they put us in a room on the 13th floor. The bed and mattress were extremely comfortable. The hotel is very convenient and the rooms were large and very clean and had great views of the airport. We would absolutely recommend staying at the Fairmont. They also offered a military discount and it was so nice to get up in the morning to catch our flight and just go down the escalator and our gate was right there.

Mixed experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Stayed at this property many times. This time on the Gold floor. Food at the lounge was mediocre. We went for dinner at the Globe downstairs and although service was great, the food itself was not. Drinks were good. Check in was a little chaotic and the room felt dated this time around. Diamond All accord status felt unrecognized. Unsure if I will stay here again, although limited options in the area.
