What can I say about my favorite Vancouver hotel? This hotel’s team knows the true art of hospitality. Warm, welcoming and attentive. Add the service into the modern, comfortable rooms plus central location and you get the recipe for a great stay! I look forward to my future stays!

Clean, great location, large room and bathrooms. We arrived very early and were allowed to check in- right away which was great! The hotel is very clean but the decor is pretty dark. No view from our room but it was fairly quiet. A couple of minor things; Make sure to ask for bottled water at the front desk as we did not realize we had to ask and ended up going a nearby store to buy water before noticing other guests were given bottles upon check in. Super wrinkled sheets on our beds.

This was our fifth stay here. The location is perfect as it is so central. We have walked to events at Roger Arena, Queen Elisabeth Theatre and Gas Town just to name a few spots. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and have been updated. We also ate at Diva at the Met and have great food and service every time.

I stayed at the Metropolitan hotel for one night in Vancouver, and had high hopes. It was a hotel I’d wanted to stay at for a while, but something always got in the way. Booked last minute and went to check in, later in the evening, and I was told I was getting a “city view” room as an upgrade. I noted there was tons of other better rooms available and asked about those, and was told there were none available. Got to my room, and my “city view” was looking into an older hotel currently being completely re constructed. The room itself was a decent size, but the walls were quite bare making it look very bland. The “terrace” was a 6 inch protrusion, and was unusable. The shower in the bathroom is extremely tiny, almost claustrophobic. The gym is very small and haphazardly put together, with some equipment just thrown in the pool area. The location is great, right across from the pacific centre mall, and close to waterfront and good restaurants. The decor is a vestige back to its original time as a Mandarin oriental, and like the gym is haphazard and not committing to anything. For the price point there’s a lot better options and I’ll likely not return in the future.

The location of this hotel couldn’t be better! We can easily walk to great restaurants, the water, and to wonderful places to shop! But the beds are so comfy and the pillows are wondrous. They have Aveda soap in the bathroom and the tub (separate from the shower) is huge! I have stayed there three times already and I am looking forward to my next visit to Vancouver to stay there again.
