Fairmont Waterfront

We checked in past midnight due to a late flight and missing luggage. Check in was quick and easy. They even set us up with tooth brushes and put a note that our luggage would be arriving the next day. Unfortunately our daughter was not feeling well so she and I stayed in the room most of our time there. We were very lucky that the accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Dad and sister were able to take advantage of the free bikes to travel around Stanley park. The location was extremely convenient for walking around Robson st and to Gastown. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel had a service to take our luggage directly to the ship.

Great stay! Really, really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location, excellent room, but staff is what makes it outstanding. Check in with Mandy was wonderful. She was so helpful. Gold lounge staff, very kind. Housekeeping as well. Highly recommend this hotel.

I've been a Fairmont regular for 21 years. The Waterfront is often my first stop in Vancouver. The lounge and bar has a reputation for slow service. Saturday confirmed it. Dead room, staff standing around talking, nearly 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. No water, no apology, nothing. Time for one drink and we were done. The manager I spoke to on the way out said he'd probably have left after five minutes himself. Emailed the GM. No response for a week. Circled back. He apologized and invited us back. That was May 31. Today is June 19. Zero follow through. Bad service is maybe recoverable. A broken promise from the GM is not.

Great location across the street from a busy cruise port but that’s really all. Room was average at best

Convenient location close to water but busy due to proximity to cruise ship docks. This is not the best Fairmont I’ve stayed in but I had no real complaints other than the noise and traffic. We were booked by a travel agent for transportation.
