Fairmont Waterfront

I used to think this hotel was amazing...despite communicating with management...they failed in providing any good service. It all started with them not being forthcoming about having a Harbour view room then when I sent the screenshot off their website availability. ...they made the excuse that oh we thought bedding was important.... Fairmont gold used to be a haven now it's very low class...they can't seem to figure out how to control a crowd coming from the rest of the hotel that hasn't paid the premium to stay on the fairmont gold...I think its simple it starts at the elevator upgrade your system. Instead of communicating with the staff who is on the gold floor you end up getting pestered every time you go into the lounge..being asked for your room number...when I stay at a luxury hotel I don't want to be treated in this way you should know your client!!! So I ended up going in there only once...paid extra for nothing. My gf went in the lounge and asked if they had candy or granola bar (they had these before) she said no curtly. Then they put us in a room directly across from the ice machine that room was only being used by their inconsiderate staff..housekeeping and gold floor...it sounds like thunder for over an hour ...finally I complained...oh sorry then 2 seconds later there's the noise again. They like to apologize alot and make excuses for bad service.... If you are looking to use the fairmont car. This is the response I got ...come back later in evening so we did as we were going to the hockey game. The guy says I don't have a driver right now or later... Again what a waste.. Usually this hotel always leaves me with a thoughtful amenity. This visit plain uncut fruit apples and banana and an orange...on the gold floor those are available anyway The only good thing was my nice shower I had this morning...will I stay here again..never will i stay at a place that prides themselves on service yet delivers nothing...stay elsewhere Keep in mind I have stayed at this hotel atleast 25 times in the past 10 years.

My wife and I were in town for the Vancouver Wine Festival as well as our wedding anniversary, and we were blown away by the level of service at this hotel. We were greeted with a complementary bottle of sparkling wine in our room along with several delicious desserts for the occasion, and from there on out, our experience was nothing short of amazing. Great cocktails in the lobby bar, and great breakfast in the morning! Our only regret was staying just the one night.

Our room was available earlier than check in. Front desk was most receptive. Our room was great with a water view. Lovely on-site restaurant and great fitness facilities although we did not use them. Staff called us by name invariably. It was a great experience

I have stayed at dozens of hotels in my 30 years but this one has been the best by far. The staff is extremely friendly when they greeted us and checked in, the gym was very neat and clean, and the food at the restaurant was great. The rooms were also very clean and tidy our view was not bad also. I highly recommend staying here if you are planning to board a cruise line or staying in the Vancouver area.

The service from the Fairmont staff was above and beyond. Very friendly and accommodating. The Arc restaurant has great food, and a fantastic brunch. Must try the eggs bennie with smoked salmon. Stayed on the club floor and the room had a great view of the harbour and the bed was so comfortable. Great location to walk around the harbour and close to shopping.
