Great time and place
The location was great, we were going to the Foo Fighters at BC Place and it’s a great 12 min walk to the stadium. The rooms are amazing and super clean the best thing I loved about the room was the vibrant colour

Lovely and centrally located hotel.
A lovely and conveniently located hotel in Yaletown, Vancouver. There’s a bar and restaurant downstairs that also serves breakfast. We walked to the Vancouver Art Gallery, to great area restaurants, and when we needed the car the valet service was fast and efficient (but not cheap). Our room was clean and quiet, although a bit on the small side.

Fantastic Hotel Experience with one annoying flaw
I always enjoy my stays at OPUS. The great people at the front desk, the wonderful rooms, the great breakfasts, and the amazing location all make this a great place to stay. On my most recent visit I decided to use the hotel bikes. The power assisted biked are lots of fun. Pair that with the phenomenal bike paths and bike lanes around Vancouver and you have a winning combo. Don’t overlook the free bikes! Unfortunately, I do have one ongoing frustration with this hotel. The magnetic cards for the elevators and room need to be constantly changed out because they stop working. On every visit to Opus I need to replace magnetic cards that stop working. And not just once a day but multiple times a day. This is a true hassle and does make an otherwise perfect stay slightly flawed. My suggestion to management is to bite the bullet and try to replace this system. I travel the world and I’ve never experienced this problem so frequently at any other hotel.

Excellent hotel, room, staff and location. A true boutique type hotel.
Location in Yaletown is perfect. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Most importantly, staff is great - friendly and helpful. Scott, Pierre , Stephanie and Austin ( I believe?) helped with ideas of things to do and places to go. Went out of their way everyday to help. Even called our tour company when they were late. Rooms are funky and fun. Bathroom very nice and usable. Room 509 on the front busy road was quiet, especially when the front window was closed. Rooms very clean. We’ll be back again. Tim and Terie

It is so rare to find an independent hotel anymore, or a true boutique property. Opus is both and a great place to stay in Vancouver. Because it is not part of a huge conglomerate, the staff is extremely personable and you get a real boutique vibe - with intimate spaces, quirky design, and staff that remembers your name. Here are my notes:
• trendy, upscale Yaletown neighborhood - walkable to the best restaurants, music venues, and sports arenas.
• public transportation (including subway to airport) at doorstep
• very good value
• Signature Amenities include transfer to cruise port
• modern aesthetic, but rooms need just a tiny bit of an update
• breakfast menu is a bit sparse but tasty with excellent service

My husband and I selected a weekend in Vancouver at the Opus Hotel. With the hotel's Mercedes available to take us about the city, it was a total delight. The suite was well appointed, quiet and relaxing. The hotel restaurant provided delightful French bistro food, the bar in the lobby was eclectic and the staff was always available to assist and be helpful. We plan to return to Vancouver next summer and stay at the Opus again.
