Every metropolis has one - that one neighborhood that seems to pulsate with an extra vibrant intensity. New York has SoHo. Paris has the Left Bank. London has Kensington. And Vancouver has Yaletown. Guest rooms are high design, high fashion and sure to impress. Bold colors offer a stay you will never forget. Featuring deluxe spa-bathrooms, executive business desks, modern furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows, you will want to book your next stay at check-out. Perfectly situated a short drive from from the cruise ship terminal, adjacent to the sea-wall, Stanley Park, Granville Island and surrounded by the city's best restaurants and shops, OPUS is more than somewhere to stay, it is somewhere to be. While you are here, enjoy our brand new New York style pizzeria, Capo. Casual, fun, energetic dinning that will have you dreaming of the best wood-oven pizza in the morning. The Spritz, our cozy new 22-seat cocktail bar, will be the perfect start or end of your day.

What an amazing stay! We opted for the Signature Suite room and the room did not disappoint. The ambience of the fireplace and jacuzzi made for a relaxing stay. Staff were friendly and helped make the stay a delight.

Our recent stay at Opus was one of my favorite hotel experiences ever. The amenities are as thoughtful as all the staff. We ended up staying in the room far more than expected because it was such a nice space! The fireplace, secret garden, heated bathroom floor, perfect shower and tub, and overall comfortable space. We slept in and had brunch on the weekend that kept us full until dinner. We partially selected this hotel to be near the Orpheum to see the Vancouver Symphony. As luck would have it, one of the cellist stayed down the hall from us and we found ourselves lingering in the hall late morning to listen to the lovely music. From our room we had to be completely silent to hear the slightest bit, so the sound proofing is excellent. For my evening tea I asked for a cup of hot water, and they brought me a kettle. They also brought a decanter of filtered water, a couple of chocolates, and a little bottle of essential oils to help with sleep. I do not remember the last time I slept so well at a hotel, it was absolute bliss. The bath salts, nespresso, robes, comfortable chair with table by the fire, I can not even remember all the details I wanted to share. Best of all, by far, was the genuine warmth of each staff member we encountered. Nicely done! And never mind being surrounded by an endless number of high quality, chic restaurants, a few minute walk from the waterfront, an absolutely safe area to walk around, and a grocery store a block away. I took the Canada line from the airport to the hotel, which was incredibly easy. I met my son who is attending Simon Fraser University. We soaked up the weekend exploring Christmas Markets, restaurants, and walks around the neighborhood. Perfection!

Location is excellent. For the price the room did not live up to expectations, a bit tight but bed was comfortable, room very clean. We had an issue exiting work out room when card became ineffective. No warning that earbuds would de-magnetize card. Had to find way to front desk by exiting building!!

We celebrated our anniversary for the second year in a row and will be back next year. Yaletown location is perfect, close to transit, shopping snd restaurants. Restaurant in the hotel is excellent. Room was great, we had a suite this time, perfect to have our friends in for drinks. Didn’t hear any outside noise. Staff are amazing, requests were handled promptly and with a smile.

It is so rare to find an independent hotel anymore, or a true boutique property. Opus is both and a great place to stay in Vancouver. Because it is not part of a huge conglomerate, the staff is extremely personable and you get a real boutique vibe - with intimate spaces, quirky design, and staff that remembers your name. Here are my notes:
• trendy, upscale Yaletown neighborhood - walkable to the best restaurants, music venues, and sports arenas.
• public transportation (including subway to airport) at doorstep
• very good value
• Signature Amenities include transfer to cruise port
• modern aesthetic, but rooms need just a tiny bit of an update
• breakfast menu is a bit sparse but tasty with excellent service

My husband and I selected a weekend in Vancouver at the Opus Hotel. With the hotel's Mercedes available to take us about the city, it was a total delight. The suite was well appointed, quiet and relaxing. The hotel restaurant provided delightful French bistro food, the bar in the lobby was eclectic and the staff was always available to assist and be helpful. We plan to return to Vancouver next summer and stay at the Opus again.
