Reviews for OPUS Vancouver

Thoroughly enjoyable week!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We spent seven nights at Opus during a recent vacation in Vancouver. The Yaletown location is very convenient-a short walk to great restaurants, the Seawall, the Canada Line station & ferries to Granville Island. The entire staff (front desk, bar & restaurant) was extremely pleasant & helpful (especially Stephanie, Andrea & Gillam). Our room was spotlessly clean, bright, comfortable & well-appointed, and daily breakfast was delicious. Looking forward to our next stay at Opus!

When we did get our room it was more like a closet with a bed. The bathroom was built on what was once a balcony. We paid $444.0

When we finally did get to the room it was more like a closet with a bed. The bathroom was built on what was once a balcony. It was not enjoyable at all and we paid way too much money for it.

nice Staff, perfectly located, clean rooms

When we arrived at the Opus, duty manager Scott Caporale warmly welcomed us and gave us plenty of helpful information for visiting the city. The hotel itself is perfectly located, with all the major attractions and the airport easily accessible. The breakfast is a bit overpriced but tasty. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean.

Fantastic Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Prefect location close to the water to get to Granville island, close in walking distance to Stanley park, close walking distance to Gastown, all of the must sees while staying in Vancouver. Also great location near shopping and lots of places to eat. Hotel has their own restaurant open late too, and they are connected to a cute French eatery for quick bite or take away. It’s rt off the train stop from the airport, Yaletown and rt next to Starbucks. Rooms are nice and comfy and fantastic shower. Would recommend this location.

It is so rare to find an independent hotel anymore, or a true boutique property. Opus is both and a great place to stay in Vancouver. Because it is not part of a huge conglomerate, the staff is extremely personable and you get a real boutique vibe - with intimate spaces, quirky design, and staff that remembers your name. Here are my notes:
• trendy, upscale Yaletown neighborhood - walkable to the best restaurants, music venues, and sports arenas.
• public transportation (including subway to airport) at doorstep
• very good value
• Signature Amenities include transfer to cruise port
• modern aesthetic, but rooms need just a tiny bit of an update
• breakfast menu is a bit sparse but tasty with excellent service

My husband and I selected a weekend in Vancouver at the Opus Hotel. With the hotel's Mercedes available to take us about the city, it was a total delight. The suite was well appointed, quiet and relaxing. The hotel restaurant provided delightful French bistro food, the bar in the lobby was eclectic and the staff was always available to assist and be helpful. We plan to return to Vancouver next summer and stay at the Opus again.
