Every metropolis has one - that one neighborhood that seems to pulsate with an extra vibrant intensity. New York has SoHo. Paris has the Left Bank. London has Kensington. And Vancouver has Yaletown. Guest rooms are high design, high fashion and sure to impress. Bold colors offer a stay you will never forget. Featuring deluxe spa-bathrooms, executive business desks, modern furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows, you will want to book your next stay at check-out. Perfectly situated a short drive from from the cruise ship terminal, adjacent to the sea-wall, Stanley Park, Granville Island and surrounded by the city's best restaurants and shops, OPUS is more than somewhere to stay, it is somewhere to be. While you are here, enjoy our brand new New York style pizzeria, Capo. Casual, fun, energetic dinning that will have you dreaming of the best wood-oven pizza in the morning. The Spritz, our cozy new 22-seat cocktail bar, will be the perfect start or end of your day.

Great experience, from the complimentary welcome drink to the clean, quiet rooms and very welcoming staff. Great location with lots of walkable restaurant options and SkyTrain station.

Nice hotel with great friendly service. The complimentary sparkling rose on check in was a really nice touch. Room was clean and all the amenities were nice.

Opus is a gem in yaletown. Boutique quality with a quirky attitude and great aesthetics. Friendly staff and comfortable features.

There was very loud night club music until 3am that could be heard from our room, we have stayed here before and never experienced that. If we had been informed of this we may have been better prepared with ear plugs, however our sleep was very disrupted unfortunately.

It is so rare to find an independent hotel anymore, or a true boutique property. Opus is both and a great place to stay in Vancouver. Because it is not part of a huge conglomerate, the staff is extremely personable and you get a real boutique vibe - with intimate spaces, quirky design, and staff that remembers your name. Here are my notes:
• trendy, upscale Yaletown neighborhood - walkable to the best restaurants, music venues, and sports arenas.
• public transportation (including subway to airport) at doorstep
• very good value
• Signature Amenities include transfer to cruise port
• modern aesthetic, but rooms need just a tiny bit of an update
• breakfast menu is a bit sparse but tasty with excellent service

My husband and I selected a weekend in Vancouver at the Opus Hotel. With the hotel's Mercedes available to take us about the city, it was a total delight. The suite was well appointed, quiet and relaxing. The hotel restaurant provided delightful French bistro food, the bar in the lobby was eclectic and the staff was always available to assist and be helpful. We plan to return to Vancouver next summer and stay at the Opus again.
