Reviews for OPUS Vancouver

Very comfortable!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

A very welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful, very clean rooms and spotless white beds. Our room had the bathroom against the windows, which was a weird layout - had to remember to close the blinds all the time, which made the room dim, but otherwise we were very happy with it. Great location.

Nice location situated in Yaletown across from the tube 🚇. The Hotel is very clean with a great vibe. The service is excellent above my expectations. Very pleased and will come back again.

Perfect location for exploring the city

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Super location. I had a good size room with sofa. Bathroom with bath and shower. Window into bedroom from bathroom was quirky! Good quality decor and very clean. (My room wasn’t cleaned one day out of three, which was frustrating as I had been out all day) Nice bar but very dark. We had breakfast in the interlinking cafe next door which was basic but had a good choice.

Tragically hip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

A very tired hotel. May have been good in the past now it is just "tragically hip". Having A/C that actually worked would be an improvement.

It is so rare to find an independent hotel anymore, or a true boutique property. Opus is both and a great place to stay in Vancouver. Because it is not part of a huge conglomerate, the staff is extremely personable and you get a real boutique vibe - with intimate spaces, quirky design, and staff that remembers your name. Here are my notes:
• trendy, upscale Yaletown neighborhood - walkable to the best restaurants, music venues, and sports arenas.
• public transportation (including subway to airport) at doorstep
• very good value
• Signature Amenities include transfer to cruise port
• modern aesthetic, but rooms need just a tiny bit of an update
• breakfast menu is a bit sparse but tasty with excellent service

My husband and I selected a weekend in Vancouver at the Opus Hotel. With the hotel's Mercedes available to take us about the city, it was a total delight. The suite was well appointed, quiet and relaxing. The hotel restaurant provided delightful French bistro food, the bar in the lobby was eclectic and the staff was always available to assist and be helpful. We plan to return to Vancouver next summer and stay at the Opus again.
