Location and Convenience for cruising

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 19 hours ago

We booked this hotel as a pre- night before embarking on our cruise. It is the most convenient hotel to embark on your cruise as an elevator takes you down to the CS level where you literally walk into the area to drop off your luggage and go through the process of embarkation. The rooms are generous in size, clean and the views facing the harbor are spectacular. Reception and all personnel we encountered were helpful and friendly.

Pleasant staff

Iker was so pleasant and promptly started locating my misplaced luggage. There was a little confusion when allocating luggage from the cruise ship and it was sent to a different room. He located it within 15 mins and he was so very pleasant to interact with.

Comfortable, convenient but a bit pricey

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Very comfortable stay. The hotel is rather expensive and breakfast is extra. I found the staff helpful. The location is great. I had a view of the heliport and railway sidings which was obviously not as good as the view others had of the sea planes and wider harbour. The hotel could do with some renovations as the windows leaked and some of the fittings were tired and a bit scuffed. The hotel is very convenient from Waterfront station. The lovely sea wall walk starts from the hotel and is well worth doing on a fine day. I was there for a conference which was extremely convenient as the conference took place just down stairs.

Amazing Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We had an amazing stay. William L went above and beyond to help us with early check in, which was a life saver as we just got off a 6 hr red eye flight with 2 children under 4. We really needed it. We had a great view of the port/water, our children loved watching boats and sea planes come and go. He also provided some local recommendations for our family to check out/explore. The room was clean and spacious, also pretty much child proof. Little to no potential hazards for our children to play with or get into. The bell desk was great, which they helped ensure our luggage would make it on the ship we were set to cruise on. This was also a complementary service. We even were able to store our bags for the day when we came off the ship as our return flight wasn’t until the late afternoon. The buffet was perfect for what we needed for breakfast.

Exceptional stay at this 5+ Star Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This has got to be the easiest review I've ever written. We arrived on Thursday April 25th, 2024 for a two night stay for our highly anticipated cruise to Alaska departing on that Saturday morning. Upon arrival, the bell man was the most pleasant gentleman, offering assistance with our luggage along with recommendations that were very helpful. We took the escalators to check-in on the 3rd floor. The common area was absolutely stunning, very clean and oh the views! I spoke with the gal at the front desk, again amazingly kind. Our room was not ready, but she took all of our luggage to store and deliver until we were able to check-in. We decided to stop in at the Coal Harbour Bar for a few drinks and again, the wait staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. We never had an empty glass. I received a text that our room was ready, approximately an hour or so later. Way before check in time, which we greatly appreciated due to our long travel day. We proceeded to our room and unfortunately it was not the room I had originally booked. I went back down to the front desk and the gal had stepped away but I spoke with another very nice gentleman. I showed him the room I reserved on my email and he asked me to hold on for a moment. I'm thinking my original booked room category may have been sold out. He asked me to take the elevator to the 21st Floor and meet one of his managers. Upon arriving, the manager mentioned that they were offering us an upgrade, no charge. He opened that door and I just couldn't believe it, the room was unbelievably spectacular! It had it's own doorbell! The room was so clean and the bathroom rain shower was amazing! The views were panoramic and you could see the entire harbor. They even delivered a bottle of wine to the room for us. We felt so grateful and appreciative. This was my mother-in-law's first vacation and she was so excited! Unfortunately our trip took a drastic turn and we had to leave very early Saturday morning due to an unfortunate family emergency back home, so our vacation was cut short and we were unable to take our cruise. The front desk offered us a discount due to our circumstances. They sure did not have to do that or offer the beautiful upgrade that they did. The service they provided was SUPERIOR! We are forever guests of this hotel and plan to refer everyone we know to stay here when traveling to Vancouver. We just re-booked our cruise for April 2025 and we are already making plans to stay here again! Thank you to the Pan Pacific Vancouver for the OVER 5 STAR stay, you and your staff are truly exceptional! We'll see you again soon!
