Felt like we were home

The location was ideally suited to everything we needed - close to the seaplane, and walking distance to all kinds of things. The concierge was (Julianna) was truly lovely and helped us with a couple of requests

What a view.

The location is fantastic. Absolutely amazing views, very central and the rooms are large and comfortable. The food was good as well, we ate here for most of our meals as we had a 3 day business meeting. The staff at the lobby were very helpful. The staff at the restaurant were very professional and friendly. Plus, it's so convenient to be able to get a tour or go for a walk because it's at Canada Place. There are, however, a few odd things. First, housekeeping was really inconsistent. One day I had my bed half made. I'm not kidding. 3 pillows were on the bed, the other 3 pillows were beside the table. Then there was the bottle of body wash that was empty and never replaced for 2 days until I went to the lobby to ask for it. I couldn't call from my room to request this because the phone beside the bed wasn't working. Then there was some weird person literally running up and down the corridor for about an hour between 12am to 1am. It seems strange that their security didn't catch this. The hotel management seems inconsistent across their different departments. A little disappointing considering the cost of the rooms and the very central location that they don't have better security (or housekeeping procedures).

Disgraceful! Dated! Dirty!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We spent two nights at the Pan Pacific Vancouver prior to boarding a cruise. We had never stayed there before and thought the location was perfect, being next to the cruise terminal. It cost us AUD1,574 for two nights (room only, facing away from the water), which is hellishly expensive, but it was the cruise season. At that price we expected something nice. We cannot express enough our disappointment on entering the room. It is so dated and very, very grubby! We always do our own wipe downs on handles etc with antibacterial wipes, just to be sure, but we were shocked at how filthy the inside of the bathroom door was. The cloth was black. The doors are brown which cover a multitude of sins. When servicing the room after the first night, the attendant made the bed, put in clean towels and folded the toilet paper into a point. They did not remove or clean the used glass at the side of the handbasin. There was toothpaste on the tap which was not wiped down. There was no bathroom wipedown. It is unlikely the attendant spent more than 5 minutes in the room. Due to its prime location, it is likely the Pan Pacific will continue to get away with this disgraceful approach. We could not wait to get out of the hotel.

The dining experience at Oceans 999 was great! I recommend it to anyone. It was clean, delicious, and our server Jane was amazing and attentive! Definitely returning and asking to be seated in her section!
