Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver

About 10 minutes after we got our room a completed stranger (another guest) opened the door and came into our room with a keycard that was programmed for our door. They were told this was their room and given a card for the door. Horrible experience. Then the front desk continued to give us multiple keys that didn't work for our own door as we tried to make sure no one else would have access to our room. We had to continually go to the front desk and receive lackluster service and care about our issue. Then they offered us complimentary wine for our troubles (two tiny bottles) which was the height of lameness for such an error. No other amendments were made for us. Also every guest we met in the elevator complained that the hot water had been out for several days, yikes... I will NEVER say a nice thing about this hotel, nor stay at a Sutton again.

Waited about 5 hours to get into our room after being assured that we could get in early. They sure wanted us out at the checkout time at 12 noon, though. Hotel lobby was freezing as they left the doors open. Got only a bit better in the room. Place was far too busy for the staff to keep up, and a very small reception area made the whole process stressful. Garbage and laundry bags in the hallway were left for two days. Nice room layout & a good location were the only positive feature. Will not stay here again.

Great position. Lovely staff . Really worked hard to go the extra mile at the check in desk - worth a fortune when u tired and cold . Christmas flyer like a post card and jacuzzi warm enough to rejuvenate after the Vancouver wind and rain

This is our third trip on Sutton Place. The check in is efficient and service is good, no hassle. The room is clean and well stocked. Only thing I dislike is the small fridge which is full with purchased items and no room for your own stuff. They charge for all the beverages . The cleaning service is prompt and thorough. Reception staff are helpful. Sutton is on a great location in Burrard Street for those who are new to Vancouver and want to shop around downtown. Lot of shops and food outlets. And near the train station if you travelling out. Overall, good hassle free experience. Would recommend it for future guests.

Fantastic location in Vancouver. Great deal offered free parking, $150 gift certificate to their restaurant on site. Shower pressure was great. Beds were super comfy. Lobby was ready for Christmas. Will come again next time we are in town
