Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver

Extremely pleased with our recent stay at The Sutton Place Vancouver. Our initial room was not exactly what we had reserved but the front desk agent worked diligently to provide a wonderful alternative. The downtown location is excellent and the renovated rooms are wonderful, very comfortable bed, a large separate seating area and beautiful bathroom with a separate tub and shower (we were in an executive suite). Nice pool area and gym and check-in / out was seamless. Would highly recommend for a downtown stay in Vancouver!

My son and I booked here to stay whilst we went and visiting the City and going to the Ice Hockey. The Hotel is really well located and the room was very good, plenty of space and all amenities. It was mid range price wise but felt safe which was good. There is traffic noise when at the front but it did not bother us. The staff are very helpful. The gym was small but good.

An excellent breakfast was beautifully presented. We had the avacado toast and the regular breakfast off the menu. The room had a fantastic view. The bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for shopping, walking, restaurants and there's even a movie theater across the street. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The only issue we had was that we couldn't get an Uber out front. We ended up taking cabs, that were always available just off the lobby. All the staff were dealt with were professional and pleasant.

Lovely hotel - 5 star experience. Rooms are big with nice bathrooms. Lobby is beautiful. Oyster bar and back bar are great too. Vida spa is amazing and right in the building

About 10 minutes after we got our room a completed stranger (another guest) opened the door and came into our room with a keycard that was programmed for our door. They were told this was their room and given a card for the door. Horrible experience. Then the front desk continued to give us multiple keys that didn't work for our own door as we tried to make sure no one else would have access to our room. We had to continually go to the front desk and receive lackluster service and care about our issue. Then they offered us complimentary wine for our troubles (two tiny bottles) which was the height of lameness for such an error. No other amendments were made for us. Also every guest we met in the elevator complained that the hot water had been out for several days, yikes... I will NEVER say a nice thing about this hotel, nor stay at a Sutton again.
