About the Hotel

Bringing the flavor of traditional Europe to one of North America's most beautiful cities, The Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver, in British Columbia's elegant main metropolis, has perfected the fine art of attention to detail. From the signature river stone massage offered in Le Spa to downtown limousine service and luxuriously appointed accommodations, no need is too small and no request goes unfulfilled. No wonder Fodor's described it as offering the ambience of "an exclusive European guest house."

Fantastic location and quality hotel

We had a great experience at this hotel. Location is great- walking distance to shopping, train station and other downtown sites. The facilities were great. For me, the ability to do laundry was easy. The staff could not do enough to help. The bar/restaurant had a great atmosphere, very enjoyable. We would definitely pick this hotel again.

Disappointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Check in time is 4pm. We arrived at 3:45 and were told our room wasn't ready, no problem as we were 15 minutes early. The clerk said she would phone my cell phone when the room was ready. We sat in the lobby until 5:10, no phone call so we decided to go back to the desk and find out what was going on. Our room was ready, for how long it was ready we didn't know as we didn't get a call. Then she tells me we are on the 5th floor, I told her when I made the reservations we were going to be on the 14th floor, she laughed! I will not return to this hotel.

Best hotel!!

It was our first time staying here and the service is top notch!! I cannot thank you enough for the guest service Dyah and the concierge team Pedro, Carlos, Geoff for helping us with everything and being very friendly. But of course, everyone plays their part very well. Sadly, 6 nights was not enough for us and we surely hope to return here again!!

10/10 would recommend

Hard to fault much with this hotel honestly! It was such a great location for everything we could’ve wanted. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The men working at the doors were helpful everyday when we needed directions to where we were going. The rooms themselves were very clean and cosy. Only downside was the air conditioning/heating definitely wasn’t working. We had the air on 18° (Celsius) at one stage and the room was boiling hot so it was clear the air wasn’t actually flowing. Given that there was no balcony (so no windows) it was a bit stuffy with no airflow but we survived. They have a lovely restaurant downstairs if you’re wanting to eat down there or they even offer room service. Main fault is that there was not many food items on the room service menu, but we only had that as our flight was a late arrival and we were tired and wanted to eat and sleep. Really enjoyed our stay at The Sutton Place and would definitely recommend and if I were to visit Vancouver again I would have no problems staying again and again!!

My go-to hotel in Vancouver

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

I've stayed here several times in the last year and Sutton Place has become my go-to hotel when I'm in Vancouver. The location of this hotel can't be beat. It's walking distance to the waterfront, BC Place, Rogers Centre and lots of shopping and restaurants. It is close to a major hospital so you hear sirens regularly. It has always been quiet at night and traffic noise has not impacted my sleep. I've stayed in a couple different types of rooms. The beds are always comfortable. The rooms are a good size with enough storage. Very clean. Nice bathroom amenities. Gym and pool are not fancy, but they are nice. It's easy to get to the seawall for a run! Gym was being refurnished when I stayed a couple weeks ago. Last visit I upgraded to the Grande Residence, a one bedroom suite. It was so nice! Balcony, lots of room, well equipped kitchen, so quiet in that tower! I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the room more! Vancouver is an expensive city. Sutton Place is not cheap, but it's a good value for Vancouver!

We stayed 5 nights at the Sutton Place Vancouver. The suite was very nice and the staff very professional. Spa treatments were very good. Afternoon tea, which was included in the package, was wonderful. Although we typically do not eat at hotel restaurants, the package included dinner and it too was excellent. It doesn’t get much better than Sutton Place.
