I read the reviews before we booked - they were inconsistent but thought lets give the Warwick a go - thought it can’t be that bad as some of the reviews posted. On arrival we were given the wrong room - we paid to be upgraded, but they overlooked this and we had to spend our first night in alternate accommodation Reception said the resort was fully booked, and could only move us the following day. Both rooms allocated were dated ‘trying to be kind here’ but we did note some villas were getting worked on and hopefully updated. Food was less than average (others have reported this) and beverage quite expensive. Every morning at breakfast the dining room ran out of cups, glasses and food items. Despite this and rather than having to write a poor review (I have better things to do) I thought I would raise these points 1:1 with management and requested a catch up - which took 3 days to organize, this despite asking reception daily to get response. Management said the reception staff had not passed on our request ?. I did follow up daily and asked reception to put notes on the system, but they did not seem responsive at all. On the positive though, grounds are well maintained, the rooms were serviced daily and keeped clean, most staff remained helpful. Overall experience was mixed, and I really wish I could have given a higher star rating on this review, especially haven visited Vanuatu previously on other resorts. I guess what really pushed me over the line was being charged the upgraded room charge for that first night - was eventually refunded after an additional 30min waiting for it to be sorted at checkout - I was assured this had already been applied and there would no delay to our departure but it would seem not actioned. Overall communication at all levels needs looked at please team Warrwick…

There are some good features but still a lot of room for improvement. Customer service needs some attention - yes the staff are friendly but felt like no effort put to serve us and make sure we were ok. When calling reception for baggage collection - no answer. Felt like not enough staff at bar areas waited 20 mins to be served. Kids Club- pretty poor and none of the activities listed were actually held. Kids kept getting told this activity was postponed or headband weaving but not items to make the headbands. Was disappointed for the kids as we had a rainy day but poor service from them made it tricky. Rooms also need a bit of love.

The resort could be great. We won't book again. On arrival our room wasn't ready then we got forgotten about. Eventually taken to the room and just unpacked when asked to move as there was no water. Moved to another room which we required maintenance to fix the main room lights. 3 times sink area flooded and supposedly fixed. Apparently no other rooms so we had a bucket under the sink. The buffet food is terrible. On the last evening we ordered a steak meal from the bar instead. 1.5 hours later we asked where it was. It had been delivered to a room somewhere? We got our meal approximately 15 minutes later and was assured it was freshly cooked. The meal was cold, the steak (medium rare) was completely dried out. We complained and got a free beer. We left the grill. We got a lot of, 'Im so sorry '. We went back to Vanuatu to put some tourist money back into the economy but this experience was terrible.

I wanted to rate a 3.5, but rounded it up LOCATION Located on the lagoon around 30 min from the airport. Isn't really close walking distance to anything. About a 5-10 min drive to a supermarket. ROOM We were in a lagoon view suite. Pros, Nice outlook to the lagoon area. We had 2 double beds. Comfy and plenty of pillows. Good size room with balcony. Small fridge was great and kept drinks cold. Safe, Cons, A little walk from the pool area. Water pressure was horrible at peak shower time 3-6pm. WiFi kept dropping out whole time in room. Only really worked around the pool and reception area. We did lose the TV signal for 2 nights too. AMENITIES Pools were great. 4 different types for everyone to use. Some great shallow ones fit kids. Pool bar. Happy hour 4-5pm (but didn't include beer) Breakfast buffet was OK. Had egg station so that helped. Did buffet dinner once, malenian night. Wasn't a fan. Kids ate free (at certain times) so that was good for lunch and dinner. Wild ginger restaurant we had the teppenyaki. No show, just cooked the dish and served to you. Really delicious beef and chicken! Recommend going there. Oasis spa, had a 1 hour message (which was included in package) it was ok. Had a trainee, even though it was an hour, it still felt rushed, would have preferred to focus slower on main areas. Free kayaks and mini sail boats to use. Gym Tennis courts (didn't use) Golf, never saw anyone playing Kids club, or son used the playground but not the club itself. OVERALL We stayed for 5 nights. It was suitable for what we wanted. They were doing some works on some rooms and resort. Short walk to a Thai restaurant, which was really nice. And a convenient shop just outside the entrance. Ideal to get some cheap beers and soft drinks for the fridge. They are obviously trying to get things back into order after the earthquake at the start of the year. But overall a good resort for families.
