Nice accommodation a bit dated but eat somewhere else

Room amd location is fantastic staff are very helpful and polite room is clean but it needs a bit of TLC plung pool in the villa has tiles falling off it and are sitting in the bottom of the pool very few of the jets work on it and the pump and plumbing side of it is in need of major work deck around it is covered in moss and needs pressure washing bed is very comfortable stacks of lights but all very dull food at the buffet is where it all turns sour all the meats served were unbeatable due being so dry or tuff it wasn’t funny salads were sparse and not very appealing I mentioned the meat problem to the manager he approached the chef who looked at it and just walked away we moved on to the dessert very little variety except for small amounts of fruit and frozen cakes cut up into bite size pieces that were so dry and unpalatable it was funny there wasn’t a single dish that was worth eating so we called old mate over again to escalate the complaint he brought out the top dog told him the story he was very sorry but it was just us no one else after reading the reviews I think not we reimbursed but not for the drinks a coke and a cocktail which we didn’t have a problem with this the cocktail came in a schooner glass and was what we thought very generous till the first sip 90% soft drink the food really let’s this place down

Nice getaway in a Lagoon view room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We stayed as a family of 2a + 1c in a lagoon view room in September. Pros: - our room was spacious and good for our family. - gorgeous location on the water, and still central to Port Vila but away from the town centre to feel like you’re not in a big town. - awesome breakfast, everything you could think of - French toast, eggs/omelette station, pancakes, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, granola, juices, tea, coffee, pastries, hashbrowns… - supermarkets nearby - great cocktails especially at happy hour - most staff were friendly - oasis spa was wonderful, the Oasis journey treatment was heavenly and relaxing, Thankyou Patricia. Amazing products, smelt divine. Relaxing massages, not remedial type. But slow to start the session, 10 mins late each session. - great pools, felt so spacious to facilitate couples and families, great atmosphere. - other food restaurant options nearby - daily housekeeping keeping the room look amazing - decent size bathroom and shower - cultural fire show is held on a Monday night, draws a crowd it was impressive to see wished there was more traditional kastom music to go with their performance. Regardless the performers are fantastic and so skillful. Cons: - hard mattress was so uncomfortable, and soft pancake like pillows. Had to ask multiple times over 3 days for extra pillows. - buffet themed dinners every night; Italian, Melanesian, bbq, Asian, Mediterranean, Indian. Only ate the Italian, and wasn’t satisfied. We ate from the pool grill bar or room service or Erakor Island (only a 2 minute boat ride, see other review for more). Didn’t eat at Wild Ginger as reviews here weren’t too good. - room service food wasn’t flash, asked for no mushrooms on a pizza and it came smothered in it. Couldn’t eat it. - reception & laundry/housekeeping never answered phone when called. Had to walk to reception to book in laundry to be told to bring our dirty laundry to reception to arrange. Back I went! Wasn’t pleasant seeing others dirty laundry on the reception counter either. - lobby bar coffee was made sooo hot every time, couldn’t drink our coffee for nearly an hour. Also they only have sugar as sweeteners. Had better coffee at Tanna coffee and Erakor. - slow service at the pool bar - water was not replaced daily - the kids club needs updating, the playground looks to be barely maintained and with cracked and old play equipment in the yard i wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my children here. We stayed 10 mins and didn’t see any kids here during our stay. Overall we had a great holiday away, it was a gorgeous location but next time we will consider elsewhere.

Jewel on the lagoon

We decided to stay at Warwick Le lagon again for 6 nights after our previous stay way back in 2014. The check in process was done in a matter of minutes and we were kindly shown to our room(108) upstairs overlooking the beautiful lagoon. The room being of adequate size with good bedding and cold air conditioning, not too bad for a comfortable stay but yes the rooms could do with some refreshing and better lighting throughout. The water pressure was pretty poor in the shower/basin but we never ran out of hot water as stated in other reviews. The wifi was absolutely terrible in our room and consistently kept dropping out. Breakfast to us was sufficient but had definitely gone down from our last stay and the staffing seems to be a major problem with not having enough staff to clean tables or restock the food along with replacing cutlery or glasses. The pool bar was the worst with the 2 staff members that could not even acknowledge that we were standing there waiting to be served, after waiting for 10-15 minutes without any kind of response we went and got our drinks from the awesome kind ladies at the lagoon terrace. The resort is in a decent location overlooking the lagoon and still has the ambiance of a nice resort, there is 2 decent sized pools with a swim up pool bar and the kiddy pool below, the surrounding gardens are well kept and a nice sandy area along the lagoon wall, it would be good to have some kind of seating in the area over the lagoon for people to sit. We would choose to stay here again if visiting Vanuatu again, cheers.

Could be a great resort - very impressive pool

Warwick was very impressive to arrive at - the foyer is very grand and pool area is expansive. We waited at the pool until our room was ready - although when we did get access they were still waiting on linen. Our lagoon view room had 2 queen beds and was a standard hotel room size with large open style bathroom. There were 2 chairs on the small patio area overlooking the lagoon. Some foot traffic out the front so it didn’t feel very private. It was very quiet at night however. There was a daily activities schedule on the info boards however we waited around for the torch ceremony and despite asking multiple staff members if it was happening it never took place. Also the kids bonfire - enquiries were met with shrugs or maybe not tonight? I also heard another guest asking about a coconut husking activity and she was just told to wait. We visited the kids club area and it was not appealing - a few kids hanging out with parents but no staff. We walked up to the activities hut and found table tennis and pool tables but no equipment - again we looked in the kids club but no staff to ask. The grounds were nicely landscaped but had some work going on - trenches being dug including right outside our patio area. We ate dinner at the buffet for Mediterranean night - a very loose theme but food was tasty and well priced (3500vt per adult and kids eat free). Lots of kid friendly options eg nuggets, pizza pasta etc and the kids loved the desserts. After checkout we left our bags with reception staff and caught a bus out the front into town. Later we got a taxi from the Warwick carpark to the airport (3000vt). A few hiccups but Warwick was still a great option - the price was great as long as your manage your expectations
