Melia Varadero

Beautiful hotel, we didn't miss anything, plenty of food and the food is good, the room service lady (Marilyne) was awesome, the hotel is well done with everything being relatively close walk disantce, the buffet crew is incredible Betsy Ivan Noe, Moya the bartender and Danay the waitress in the 24 hours snack, beautiful view on the ocean

Pros: Premium Sea-view suite was a beautiful room 🤩. The bed was comfortable 🛏😴. Room was clean😄. Having the full bathroom & half bathroom was very nice😄. The LARGE balcony was divine🌊 🤩. Food was great, good selection for both meat & veggie lovers 🥩🍨🥬. Scenery inside the hotel was beautiful 🤩. External environment was well kept😄. The beach was clean, well kept & safe🌊. Good internet connection📡. Safe environment for same sex couples💜. Cons: Some of the furniture like the couches, tables & nightstand needs updating, it is worn out🛋️. On 2 occasions we saw 2 cockroaches🪳. One in the hallway outside of our suite & one outside the buffet area. The overall vibe of the Melia Varadero resort was busy, good entertainment. The buffet staff was warm, inviting, helpful😍. Most of the front desk staff was not helpful, even if they could not solve a problem, no attempt was made & you as the guest need to solve it yourself😞. They did not present the same hospitality as the buffet staff or the cleaning staff. Much applause 👏👏 & praise has to be given to front desk staff Katina, she did every thing she could to ensure my partner had a smooth check-in. Much applause 👏👏 & praise to the bellboy who helped me find a taxi when I missed the bus to the airport. When this event occurred, I was not angry, I just needed a solution to get to the airport. The woman I spoke to in a separate office main points toward me was where I went wrong. "Maybe I was in the snack bar. I should have been in the lobby at the designated time (The Nexus agent said 7:15pm, I was there 7:02pm). They can not call the bus back...". They said they were looking for me, I was on the opposite side of the lobby, no one was calling my name & how can you look for a stranger, if you do not know what they look like. Thankfully the bellboy stepped in & fixed the issue. Despite all the bad, I would still return.

I have thought for a long time about leaving a negative review !! Staff Amazing - Food Average at best especially when the "new years eve gala dinner" menu was identical to the Christmas Eve Menu Room very tired despite being on "The Level" Would Not Visit again

My family and I went to the Melia Varadero hotel and the experience was incredible. The service was fantastic, the food was very well-seasoned, with good quality and variety. The rooms, although a bit dated, are clean and comfortable. The hotel facilities and bars are very nice, with a good selection of drinks. The activities and staff were wonderful, and the view of the hotel and the beach was paradise. My family and I recommend this hotel 100%.

I want to thank and recommend this hotel as the best in all of Varadero. The food, drinks, and service are excellent. I also want to congratulate Mr. Noé, Ms. Claudia, Mr. Roberto Mustelier, and the entire staff at this hotel, who make you feel at home.
