Melia Varadero

My stay at Melia Varadero was incredible. The room was luxurious and clean. The attention from the staff was lovely. The food was tasty and lots of options to choose from in the buffet. I was only able to experience the Japanese a la carte, but it was a great interactive experience where the chef cooks your meal in front of you. The beach, IFYKYK Cuba has the most incredible beaches and this one did not disappoint. I highly recommend this resort, one of the best I’ve been to in Varadero.

Ok so to be 100% transparent the first room we had was legit falling apart and dirty BUT they upgraded us the next day so it was totally fine. The amenities are amazing, beach right outside, 2 clean pools, entertainment shows or parties every night, great staff! Honestly we knew to be aware of the food availability and I have to say they had a ton of food, was it the best? No, but tons and a wide variety. I would highly recommend upgrading to the level because you get a dinner reso every night, great views, better buffet and other perks. Overall it was a beautiful resort with a few quirks that could be easily overlooked. You have to go!

I have not enough words to describe my visit to this resort. All the amenities are AMAZING and beautiful, everything is always neat and just perfect. You will figure how great staff they have in every corner (they’re actually the best). Drink are DELICIOUS and we were very hesitant about the food because all of the negative comments we saw; but it was way better than we ever expected. We were a group of 6 and it was never an issue to find good spots or tables since they always helped us. The wifi was surprisingly amazing, it worked on most of the hotel; however, Snapchat and TikTok won’t work so if you want to use them, get a VPN I would recommend it to EVERYBODY, worth every cent

We visited in 1994, this is how the lobby looked then, with gorgeous vines draping from every floors balcony to the lush greenery open to the sky. A perfect vacation. Great Service. Nice clean rooms. Nightly free entertainment show. Good food. Beautiful Beach, beautiful hotel grounds.

First time in Cuba. Definitely not my last. This resort is amazing and the people are even better. Special shout out to Claudia 💯 She is a waitress at the lobby bar. This beautiful sole from the minute I met her made me Love not only this resort but truly showed what Cuba is all about. Please make sure to see Claudia when here. Jose in the buffet is another island treasure. He is a waiter and he is fantastic at making people feel special . He is very fast, always smiling and very genuine. Rosalyn took care of me and my room for my week here. She is always cheerful, cleaned my room daily and even brought me mango’s that where absolutely delicious. The staff and management go out of their way to make all feel like we belong even though some “ tourists “ are rude and disrespectful. Please treat all with respect. 😊 I intend on returning for two weeks in August and cannot wait. Food and drinks plentiful and delicious.
