Paradisus Varadero Resort & Spa

Will not recommend if you expecting that you will find 5 stars resort. Lots of birds in buffet restaurant eating from food.

We had such a wonderful trip here in 2024 we returned in 2025 and cannot wait to go back in 2026!! We had made so mant great connections with staff and everyone was so helpful!! Our first trip in 2024 was made seamless with the help of Oyisara from the reservation/reception department.

Our vacation to this resort was great!!! The hotel and grounds were kept very well, and the ocean was beautiful. We had great service from all the staff. Oyisara in bookings was very friendly and accommodating to us. I was in contact with her a few months before our stay, through email and helped me to upgrade our stay to a beautiful Ocean View room as a surprise for my husband's birthday. She also sent a special welcome gift for him to our room and went over and above to inquire about a cake for him on his actual birthday. She made our stay very special. We would highly recommend this resort for the gracious accommodations that were made for us over others we have visited in Cuba.

Hotel was amazing. Service was great and people very friendly and helpful. Josef and Yodalis are the best severs in the world. They really helped us with food selection and explained everything to us. They were at tango rangounoplantastandargastronomia.

My sisters and I visited Paradisus Varadero in June 2025, this was my second time in Cuba and I would 100% return to this resort. June is obviously a slower month for tourism as half the resort wasn’t even open, I believe we had paid for the royal service and that side was closed but we were absolutely treated with that royal service the entire time. The staff is phenomenal, the maid was so sweet, all the groundskeepers so kind, the beach bartenders were amazing making us the best mojitos, our butlers Alex and Yemis were also amazing. Carla, Melody and Yalesnis in the buffet were the sweetest girls ever. I wish I got more names but genuinely every staff member we encountered were absolutely phenomenal. Yuniel and the other kind men working in the lobby bar made every visit we made to that bar nothing short but amazing, we had the BEST strawberry daiquiris every single day. I had zero complaints about the food, my sisters are definitely more picky eaters than I am so they got tired of eating the same things everyday but if eating fresh, whole foods is something you enjoy, Cuban food is perfect for that. Lots of fish and beef and chicken and pork, the rice is amazing, mashed pumpkin and the BEST fruit. Omelettes are just better in Cuba in my opinion and they also had pasta every day. I personally feel like people who complain about Cuban food just can’t live without processed garbage but that’s just me lol. We didn’t really experience anything run out the whole week we were there. I was nervous as I had seen reviews about the buffet being open air and bird going on the food, which they did but the staff in the buffet were very on top of swatting them away so I didn’t mind. Our room was beautiful, clean and good air conditioning, some days there was less hot water but we didn’t mind as it was so hot outside we preferred a nice cold shower to cool off. Overall the resort was very well maintained, and clean!! Cuba is a beautiful country and I definitely plan on returning, the people, the beaches and the price all make it worth it. Remember that in Canada and other countries, we are blessed and these people don’t have it as lucky as we do, so give them grace and be patient with them as they have no control over a lot of things.
