Exceptional boutique hotel away from the crowds, but not too far from all sites. Superior staff. Elegant but not stuffy. Incredible room with view of canal. Great dining. Wonderful property and service.

For a different luxury Venetian experience.

A different approach to luxury in a city of opulence and excess. Expect stark interiores, discreet ambiance and contemporary decor. Some will find it somehow boring. Everything is of excelent quality, everything will remain almost unnoticed. Rooms are on the small side, mine was a junior suite, and had only space for a huge bed and 1 chair in the corner, but great mattress - sleeping quality is among the best I ever experienced. All the possible amenities were available inside the room and elegant bathroom. Yet no desk - no chance to work in the room. Immaculately clean and soundproof. Location is great, very near St.Marks, in the promenade, but away from the bustling. Public spaces like restaurant and bar, are small and unappealing. They might deliever a lot, but they don’t call us in. Courtyard is nice but spartan in detais. Lobby is elegant but you’ll probably will only see it at check- in and check- out, because a door leads diretly to the street (and one to the water). Service is the absolute main reason to go - polite, warm, efficient. Great staff at the reception with Ivan, the concierge, at the top. Great value in an expensieve city.

Simply Superb Boutique Hotel

Perfect location - quiet and convenient. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Converted from a historical convent, Ca Di Dio or House of God was completely renovated and modernized. Very elegant decor throughout with a nice, almost sacred energy flow throughout. Super friendly and helpful staff catered to our small group of travelers from all over the US with Tauck Tour under the supervision and guidance of our amazing tour director Cristina enhanced our stay from the water taxi arrival to the bar/library socials to the Vero Restaurant where we enjoyed our daily scrumptious breakfasts. Thank you, Tauck, for selecting this unique and wonderful hotel.

Entire hotel is excellent EXCEPT smallest hotel fitness center

This level of detail in this hotel is remarkable. The cleaning crew comes in twice daily. Room coffee is strong and delicious. Concierge Ivan is beyond 100% amazing and seems very happy to help. The room is spacious; breakfast is top-notch with custom eggs and high quality everything. We enjoyed the mimosas, fresh juices, pastries! The only complaint, BUT it's a big one for us and a major deal breaker--the gym is the smallest we have ever seen any hotel/inn/motel and we travel extensively so that's quite a few lodging places to compare to. This is quite surprising considering the level of detail placed on everything else at Ca' Di Dio including a beautiful fresco painting at the lobby, hugh flower arrangements at the entrance, on and on. The gym is smaller than our bedroom as reference. Daily exercise is a must for my husband and me but the gym was so uncomfortably small, my husband skipped out the following day. We will not be coming back to this hotel for this reason alone.

Wonderful Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Four of us, two couples, stayed at Ca' di Dio for one week. Every aspect of our stay at this hotel was truly top-notch, from our warm welcome by Marco at the front desk, to the wonderful breakfasts and friendly dining room staff, the beautifully appointed rooms, and the hotel's great location -- close enough to walk anywhere, but also removed enough to feel away from the crowded main tourist attractions around St. Mark's Square. Special thanks to Ivan for his exceptional services as concierge, and to Marco for his friendly, attentive service in the hotel's beautiful bar. I highly recommend the Ca' di Dio, and will certainly return there the next time we are in Venice.
