On the edge of the Grand Canal, five-star Ca' Sagredo Hotel holds the legacy of one of the most prominent noble families in Venice. The Sagredos bought the palace in the middle of the 17th Century and assembled an art collection of more than 800 paintings and 2,000 drawings dating from the Renaissance. Original art and antiques envelop guests during a stay that's more akin to time travel than a holiday. Upgrade to a suite for even plusher surroundings – the towering wardrobes in the Library Suite used to house Zaccaria Sagredo's literary collection.

Room ++ nice and big but disappointing in some aspects: 1) carpets - tired and grubby 2) nails sticking out of a furniture which tore my dress (reported to reception who ignored the dress damage and told me housekeeping would fix the nail issue - but it wasn’t ) Room Amenities - disappointing basic necessities 1) no water supplied (aside from day 1), water charged at Eur8 (which are Eur2 in the shop) - water is a basic necessity. 2) no kettle - hot water on request (supplied with sugar !), the hotel was happy to supply hot water yet supplied no tea/coffee in the room. 3) internet in the room did not work for the entire stay so every evening i was using much mobile data to do my work. Bathroom ++ good decor and facilities, but kitted out for 2 people, we had to ask for extra supplies disappointing - on day 3 we put towels and bathroom on floor for replacement. The bathrobe was just hung up and NOT a clean new one. Location - very well located Airport Transfer - the hotel will charge you more than twice the price of a private taxi. We arranged our own shared taxi - which worked well, we were the first drop off at the hotel boat drop. The water bus stop is just 1 minute walk from the hotel Equally accessible is the water bus from the Ca ‘Dor bus stop to Roma (main stop) and bus from there to the airport. Breakfast and dining at the hotel is expensive, however, hotel location is so very near many restaurant and food options. Coop very near by where we picked up breakfast supplies. Danial the porter was very jolly, happy and helpful

I rarely write reviews about places that i stay in, but this hotel really amazed me so i have to publicly say thank you for the amazing experience. I stayed in Ca' Sagredo with my wife, it was her choice to stay here since she wanted to visit Venice for her 40th birthday. Everything about the hotel was perfect, from the service to the hotel itself. How else can it be when one is staying in a 14th century palace! It is like a time travel machine returning you to the glory days of Venice. I usually don't think of going twice to a hotel i have already been to, this is the first time that i thought of returning here again. Cheers! Goran

5/5 Ca’Sagredo was amazing! From the welcome Prosecco, to the beautiful historic rooms overlooking a canal, to breakfast in a Gilded room with Renaissance art on the ceiling, the museum, and the attentive staff in every role in hotel, this place is a timeless gem. It is centrally located and walkable (or boat-able) to all of Venice. The concierge helped us arrange amazing dining reservations and daytime excursions. Ca’Sagredo is one of our favorite hotels in all of Europe!

FAULTLESS.. There really can't be a better Hotel in Venice.. Having booked for 3 nights I had the need to make contact with the Hotel before our visit, a response from Francesco indicated just how good this Hotel was likely to be. He responded fully and with genuine interest in a very timely manner, this continued with further contact and indeed upon arriving he was just as pleasant and helpful. He went above and beyond helping us with something on his day off. We can't thank him enough. He made our visit. The Hotel was a delight, retaining much of it's Palazzo history, their website shows many photo's, take a look at them, it really is as it seems. Their restaurant, L'Alcova, is on a very pleasant terrace right by the waters edge, the tables are very nicely spaced and a beautiful display of Dipledenia adorned the many window boxes adding to the beauty. The position of the Hotel is such that a magnificent view up and down the Grand Canal can be made and just around the corner, just out of sight is the resplendent Rialto Bridge. Everything was within easy walking distance yet we felt the position of this glorious Hotel made it feel like we were tucked away from the crowds. First Rate.

Our stay at Ca’ Sagredo in Venice was absolutely wonderful. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm, making the experience feel truly special. The staff was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. Everything from check-in to departure was handled with such care and professionalism. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely return on a future trip to Venice!

"Great location, easy access, great staff.”

“It’s a nice hotel, the staff is very attentive. However, although the rooms are lovely the main lobby and rest of the hotel is really nothing special.”

“I was satisfied with our room and the service of the staff. The only disappointment was the so called light lunch included in our package which actually translated to a bowl of nuts and a bowl of chips. But on the whole it is a beautiful hotel.”

Ca' Sagredo was a delightful experience. Located on the Grand Canal, just a stone's throw from the water bus stop and with its own water taxi dock for those who prefer that method of transfer, it was easy to get to. The hotel itself is very pleasant with an outside dining area right on the canal, or a small inside dining room. We had dinner one night at the hotel and found it to be delicious. The staff was competent and pleasant, and the room comfortable and reasonably spacious. I would recommend the hotel.

The setting on the Grand Canala made our fiftieth wedding anniversary really special. The Ca' Sagredo was a perfect spot to experience the magic and romantic history of Venice. The hotel is palatial with lovely murals, exquisite floors, classical furniture, glistening chandeliers and Murano glass light fixtures. The entire hotel staff was superlative and incredibly charming and helpful. The restaurant was excellent with a lavish breakfast buffet and candlelight dinners overlooking the gondolas and boats on the canal. The piece de resistance was our rooftop terrace attached to our luxurious suite. This is a hotel to remember and re-visit.

We spent four wonderful nights at the Ca' Sagredo Hotel. We found the staff to be efficient, helpful and courteous. They were unobtrusive yet available when we needed their assistance. The room was magnificent and very comfortable. It was cleaned quickly and well each morning, usually while we were out at breakfast. We were promised the best view available on our arrival and they followed through on the promise. Our water view room was only one back from the rooms fronting the canal and since it was on the third floor, the view was stunning. The food served at breakfast was delicious, offered a wide selection, and was served in two beautiful rooms by very gracious staff. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and each staff member we encountered from our first contact to our last was wonderful. The hotel is truly a beautiful palace and we appreciate the excellent service provided by the entire staff.
