Exceptional Stay in Venice

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 22 hours ago

We had an absolutely flawless stay at this property and cannot recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, everything was a true 5-star experience. What We Loved: The Views & Atmosphere: The views from the hotel are absolutely exceptional. The property manages to strike the perfect balance—it feels incredibly high-end and luxurious, yet completely welcoming and never stuffy. Spacious Rooms & Service: The accommodations are remarkably spacious, providing a comfortable sanctuary after a day of exploring. The service across the entire hotel is nothing short of exceptional; every staff member went above and beyond. Dining & Breakfast: The daily breakfast is truly grand, offering a fantastic selection to start the day. Convenient Location: While the hotel provides a peaceful escape from the main crowds, getting to the heart of the city is seamless thanks to a complimentary, frequent boat shuttle service directly to Saint Mark’s Square. Local Neighborhood: If you prefer to stay close to home in the evening, you don’t even need to leave the island. There are several fantastic local restaurants just a short, pleasant walk from the hotel doors. If you are looking for a premium Venice experience with incredible service, space, and spectacular views, this is the place to stay. We will definitely be back!

A Great Stay at a Beautiful Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Pros: -Gorgeous hotel in a quiet area -Huge breakfast buffet labeled with major allergen information -Comfortable bed -Retractable clothes line in shower -Private water shuttle Cons: -Limited executive lounge hours (we never entered it because it was always closed when we were at the hotel and just utilized the regular breakfast buffet that was free for club rooms) -Very thin walls We did have an issue with a private water taxi that we booked through the hotel. I reviewed our bill and saw that we had been charged 170 euros. The driver told us that we had to pay him and wanted 180 euros. He called the hotel and told us that we had not paid and had to pay him. I called the hotel, and they confirmed that we had paid but needed to give him the green receipt that they had given us. Problem solved, but if I had not gone to the front desk to review our bill and seen the charges, we likely would have double paid. Nobody talked about the importance of the green receipt: at the time of booking, getting in the water taxi, when the driver was trying to collect even after calling the hotel. Sharing so that others will not have this confusion. Overall, it was a great stay and we would recommend this hotel to others. Do the math to see whether it makes sense to get a club level room beyond “free breakfast.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel

Beautiful. Perfect hotel. Spotless. Comfortable rooms. Ours overlooked the water. The hotel has water taxis to 2 areas. They do get crowded and there’s a 40 minute wait if you miss the boat!!! The morning buffet was so perfect! They serve everything you can imagine. Lovely staff as well. The upstairs bar and pool were also perfect. Great staff. This is a perfect hotel!

Good, but doesn’t quite hit the 5 star mark

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We stayed here as a family Easter weekend. Overall, we had a lovely stay and on balance, I would recommend the hotel. However, there were a few things that missed the 5 star mark. Rooms were beautiful with super comfy beds. We went for a sea view room and it was well worth it. Breakfast was good, but the queues at peak times were very long, so you need to go early. Staff were all very nice and friendly - overall service was good. However, it fell short on a couple of things for me. The service at the cocktail bar on the roof was very slow and didn’t match the very high prices that they were charging. The music was also strange. There was extremely loud dance music playing one evening when we came back from dinner outside. This really didn’t match the clientele or the elegant setting and it really wasn’t helping to create a nice ambiance, so we left after one drink. Earlier in the evening the following day there was more relaxed music playing, which was far more appropriate, so we did enjoy it the second day.. the views of Venice are great, especially as the sun goes down.. The second point was related to the ferry shuttle service. The hotel is on Giudica island, which I quite liked as a way to escape the crowds. The hotel has a shuttle boat, but there are 2 things that could be improved. First is the charging system.. whether you are there for a day or a week or more, it’s €15 pp. Why not just build it into your he room cost and make it complimentary? The second thing is that the frequency of the service is not enough at peak times. We were there on time for the 5pm service after a hectic day in Venice, but were left stranded because the boat was full and had to wait 40 mins for the next one. Not great after a long tiring day, with no other option to get back. In the end, they waived the charge for us because of our issues with not being able to get onto the boat, which we appreciated. However, some improvements in how the system works would really help to make the overall experience at the hotel better. Lastly, they left water in the room on arrival, but it’s not replenished, meaning that you have to pay extortionate mini bar fees. Complimentary water is pretty standard in most hotels these days, so this was a bit of a miss for me. These niggles aside, the hotel is a great option for both families and couples and is good value for money.

Nice hotel overall

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Best executive happy hour and best breakfast of any Hilton we’ve been to so far. Good hotel overall. Very friendly staff. Negatives- you do need a shuttle if you go anywhere - but they provide- and we arrived to our room with tray of old room service at door in hallway. Stayed 2 nights, asked twice to have of food removed- were told it would be- each time it was not. Left after 3 days and 2 nights to old food from previous person still sitting there!
