We could not have chosen a better location or hotel than the Hilton Molino Stucky for our first visit to Venice. It provided everything we were looking for – a blend of elegance, comfort, gracious service, modern conveniences, and peaceful, quiet rooms. The hotel is directly on the Giudecca Canal with a breathtaking view of Venice across the water. The Executive King room was spacious and quiet – we honestly felt like we were the only people on the 6th floor. Breakfasts were filled with delicious choices and the three hotel restaurants offered a wide variety. When we ventured out of the hotel, we found restaurants and bars within strolling distance on the waterfront promenade and a neighborhood grocery store and pharmacy nearby. The hotel’s boat service to Venice was amazing – every arrival and departure felt like a scene in a movie. The front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff was kind and gracious. They provided excellent yet unobtrusive service. We’d like to especially acknowledge Ludovica in Guest Relations, who is an angel. Her empathy, graciousness, and willingness to immediately engage reassured me that we were in good hands at the Hilton Molino Stucky. Grazie mille Ludovica! The best part for us – the Hilton Molino Stucky, and Giudecca in general, felt spacious and uncrowded – a feeling that was reinforced every time we ventured into Venice with its hordes of people. We would always breathe a sigh of relief to be back in the Hilton on the Giudecca side of the canal – our own private corner in a beautiful city.

Great experience. We had a club level room, overlooking Venice from across the water. Fantastic view. Getting there was easy, hotel arranged private water taxi from train station. Even with film festival going on it was no issue. Arrival was very smooth. We were a little worried initially about getting to and from Venice from Giudecca, but it was never a problem. The hotel water shuttle runs every half an hour starting around nine, and the day we had an earlier tour we bought a vaporetto(water shuttle) ticket for 10 euros. Plenty of options. We had breakfast provided. There is a great selection, although it was a bit crowded. My only complaint for breakfast was that you can get everything yourself, except for coffee or tea. For that you have to wait for server. The last day we were there 45 minutes and no service, in spite of asking. We spoke to manager, Mohammed, who was excellent and quickly took care of matter. We ate in Bacaromi, right on water, as well as Rialto and the Rooftop bar. All first class. The rooftop pool was amazing as well. Not sure you can find this combination of services, views and experiences anywhere else in Venice.

We spent two days in Venice before a planned Viking cruise. This was the hotel that we were assigned to through the Viking company. We arrived at 0930 after a red eye flight. We were exhausted but our whole tour group had to wait in the lobby for 5.5 hours until our rooms were ready (check-in time). I understand this, but not water, coffee, or anything was offered or provided to our tired, sleep-deprived large group to make us more comfortable or feel welcome. The employee who stored our luggage was rude and stressed out, as he had two different Viking groups to deal with. We have stayed in other luxury hotels pre or post cruise where a beautiful 2 hour mini tour was given of the area as we waited for our rooms-a wonderful welcome to the city. Not here. We were all crowded into the lobby and common areas to fend for ourselves and not one bit comfortable. We were assigned to the back rooms (old section?). I'm thinking that this was because we were part of a tour group and not paying for the highest end luxury rooms-not sure. Our room was okay-clean, sparse, a view to mechanical area. Breakfast was nice and we had a super nice waitress. I have to say that the concierges were very helpful when helping us plan mini trips for the next two days and they knew plenty more that the Viking rep who did not have a clue about the area and gave us only the highest cost choices. Not so with the hotel employees. This is a beautiful building with an interesting history, but not very impressed-just the basics here for sure. We expected more.

Good value hotel to stay at with convenient boat shuttle into Venice meaning you get to experience boat trips a few times on your holiday and in the evening go back outside the hustle and bustle. Outside the main Venice area so around 15-20 mins to shuttle to Venice San Marco but honestly not a problem to do this and get to see canal on the way. Pool is very small and underwhelming and overcrowded but not what you go to Venice for. Breakfast is good and a lot of space for it over many rooms so no wait. Hotel has been refurbished so some rooms very modern. Good mix of quality and budget compared to many other luxury hotels in Venice still get very decent service and experience for much more reasonable cost.

Stayed two nights at the Hilton Venice and paid a premium rate, so we expected a bit more generosity at checkout. We asked to freshen up and shower before heading to the airport, only to be told there'd be a €10 charge per person to use the facilities. After spending that much on our stay, it left a sour note on an otherwise pleasant trip. Small gesture, but it would have made a big difference to how we left feeling about our stay.
