Reviews for Hotel Gabrielli Venezia

Enjoyed this location immensely

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Stayed in large one bedroom apt for our stay in Venice. Well appointed, including fridge and washing machine. Excellent staff, including Nicola who helped us with our plans. Roof terrace bar / restaurant top notch with scenic view. Enjoyed two balmy nights watching boats and gondolas go by from that vantage point!!

The Benchmark Hotel In Venice

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel was a superlative experience in every way. Starting with the location which offers amazing views, it is a 30 second walk from the vaporetto stop (Arsenale) and yet it is away from the truly maddening crowds of other hotels on the Grand Canal. Yet a 5 minute walk to the Biennale. I have stayed in many of the other Grand Hotels on other trips to Venice and was put off by the heavy dark woods and the dark colors. Fresh off a 5 year renovation, this hotel is decorated in modern shades of celadon and gray creating a soothing fresh welcoming interior. This was complemented by the large bathrooms and the American level air conditioning which did not stop during the night (We visited during the big August heat wave). It has a wonderful quiet walled garden in which to relax and have light bite. This is complemented by a rooftop bar for sunset aperitifs. The breakfast buffet was on par with the best in Italy with multiple farm to table options and hot entrees made to order. The same was true of the cocktails- local spirits and creative cocktails reflecting the seasons and the heritage of the city. Carlotta from the front desk who welcomed us was representative of all of the staff who knew us by name after the first 24 hours. We spent 4 nights here and were truly sorry to leave. We cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning.

Lovely Hotel with service to match

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

5 star hotel with an experience to match. Arrived late from a time zone far away, check in was smooth, they even accomodated a late night snack + beverage. Amazing concierge service- Federico @ the front desk arranged a wonderful local guide named Enrico that made for an unforgettable experience. We did a tour by boat and then walked the city to a museum and finished with a delicious meal. Hotel Gabrielli has great walkability and was a great place to call home for the week. Will be back, thanks again!

Outstanding!!!!!!!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Service 20/10 Cleanliness 20/10 Atmosphere 20/10Room 20/10 Value 20/10 First word that comes to my mind is Outstanding, in fact I can repeat the same word 10 times back to back. After 4 exhausting weeks travelling from city to city, with another 3 weeks to go and staying at some very good Hotels and Chateau’s, this is the one that my wanted to extend. I can sit there and name individuals but it would not be fair leaving names out. A tap on the back to every single person. Do not do to many searches, I’ve done it for you, Hotel Gabrielli thank you for an amazing stay.

Better Than Expected

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Although I almost want to keep Hotel Gabrielli as my personal secret, I must give credit where credit is due. Centrally located between St Mark’s Square and the Giardini della Biennale, both less than a ten-minute walk away, the hotel is also only about five minutes from the Arsenale. Reopened about a year ago after an extensive renovation, the hotel has a timeless elegance. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable, and the excellent welcome chocolates, beautifully presented under a glass cloche, together with a bottle of sparkling wine, were a lovely touch. What really makes the hotel special, however, is the staff. Starting prior to arrival the concierge team were consistently prompt, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. The reception and breakfast teams were equally attentive and efficient. The housekeeping staff were always very polite and pleasant and clearly made every effort to ensure that everything was just right. A special mention must go to Carlotta, the Front Office Manager. She combines professionalism with warmth and clearly loves what she does. Breakfast is wonderful, with a large, high-quality selection, excellent pastries and the most beautiful omelettes- prepared by Executive Chef Mirko himself. The hotel restaurant is also very good, with excellent service and a genuine willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions. The fitness room is very small but equipped with Technogym equipment, and there is also a small but very pleasant spa. Guests looking for a larger facility will find an independently operated gym offering day passes less than a five-minute walk away.
