This hotel is really very well located close to St Marks Square. The public areas are light and airy. There is a big terrace for breakfast and drinks during the day. Concierge and reception are both very helpful. The room we stayed in was quiet and very user friendly, and had a large terrace where we could take breakfast. Not cheap until you compare prices with some of the neighbouring hotels. An excellent choice for a Venice stay.

We stayed 26-28 April. We were upgraded to room 414, the only room of its type in the hotel. The room was amazing, with a beautiful marble bathroom, jacuzzi bath and a HUGE terrace looking over the Grand Canal. The staff, especially the young concierge were superb. Very professional and knowledgeable about the locality. We were given a free welcome drink at the bar, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The prices of the drinks was quite mind blowing, (50 Euro for two vodka and lemonades) but not surprising due to location and standard of hotel. The breakfast wasn't that great for the price, but I loved the smoked salmon and eggs, and the Herbalife snacks. The only problem with the room was the temperature in the bedroom at night, it was very warm and couldn't turn the heating down, and also the jets in the jacuzzi need cleaning, as I tried twice to have a bath with the jets on, but there was a lot of black stagnant water/dirt coming out of them, so had to settle for a shower (which I found very hard to use, no instructions and it was wayyyyy too hot. We were not advised when booking that the pope was vistining on the Sunday, meaning we had to book a private boat back to the airport as the water taxi's were not running, and extra cost of 150 Euro. After googling the history of the hotel and in particular room 414, it amazed me. THANK YOU for and amazing stay. If you want an amazing location, in a beautiful historic hotel, I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful 4 star hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Impeccable service. Close to everything! Very helpful and friendly staff who will attend to all your needs. Walk right out to the water taxi, eat lunch on the outside terrace and enjoy the view of the Grand canal going by.

We are enjoying a deluxe room overlooking the Grand Canal. It’s lovely. Great staff looking after us. Beautiful bathroom with amazing lighting and a gorgeous bath. The bedroom is not large but the decorations and lighting are superb. Really quite different. Breakfast is yummy and the Bar, excellent.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. We got a water taxi from the S.Lucia train station to the hotel ‘door’ which was really easy and we were welcomed with bags being collected from the boat and reappearing in our room, which was a spectacular Junior Suite which had the most incredible decor - the bathroom was amazing! Would definitely stay again. Thanks to all the staff for being so brilliant!
