Venice, a captivating city which strikes the eye and moves the heart. Enveloped in the same magic, the Metropole offers you emotions involving all the senses. Eccentric, warm, eclectic, a place where the décor becomes an emotional experience, where each detail tells a story. A 5 star hotel that seduces and charms, a restaurant that surprises for its creative cuisine and the fame of its awards. Behind both of them, love, care and persistence. The resulting mood is incomparable. After all, here nothing happens by chance.

Lovely hotel and pleasant staff, however and unfortunately there was a dishonest bar man, I ordered grey goose vodka which was expensive after about 3 drinks I noticed him pouring a cheaper brand and when he bought it to me I asked if it was grey goose which he replied yes, I told him I see him pouring the vodka from a different bottle he went away and come back with another drink and apologise and said he made a mistake which I don’t believe, this shows a lack of respect for paying guests, I couldn’t trust this hotel so would not go back.

Just staying at the hotel Metropole. Booked a room with garden view - room is nice but directly above the airconditioning system for the entire hotel. Pretty noisy, even with closed windows!! Talking to the reception did not help at all - they were not very helpful in finding a solution! The only thing they offered me was changing to the executive room with canal view at full charge. So if you book a garden room at the hotel make sure it is not the one above the aircondition system!

We stayed at hotel metropol for 5 days. This was the most uncomfortable weird place that we could have imagined. I don’t know who gave them 5 star, they don’t deserve more than 1. For starters everything in the hotel is in a state of decay. They advertise it as antique but really they are all falling apart. The walls are covered with multiple fans on the second floor on a wall paper that is supposed to be gold coloured but is so dirty that it looks like gray. The third floor is even worse there are at least 100 crucifixes on the walls. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and hard. The floor under the bed was covered with a thick layer of dust. The worst part was that there was flea in the bed which after I killed it had fresh red blood in it. Despite all these they did not change our room. I asked another couple who were from New York and they also had hard bed and were very uncomfortable with the ambience. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Would never recommend it to anyone. The only saving grace is the staff especially Al who is a gem of a staff. He should be at the Ritz and the back yard garden. But even these are not enough to give the hotel more than one star. Absolute waste of money and no comfort

The location was brilliant for sightseeing. The hotel atmosphere was good . Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was ok and kept very clean. However the drinks were very expensive and if you wanted to use the spa it would cost 200 euros for one hour. Drinks and meals outside the hotel are more reasonably priced

We had the most wonderful two-day stay – it truly felt like a dream. This is not just a hotel, but a place with soul and character. The beautiful antiques create an elegant and authentic Venetian atmosphere, making every room unique. What made our stay truly exceptional was the incredibly warm and personal hospitality. The staff were outstanding: professional, attentive, genuinely caring, and always one step ahead. They made us feel more like welcomed guests than customers. Everything was simply perfect. We will always remember these two unforgettable days and cannot wait to return. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a truly special experience in Venice.
