First glance, traces of a rich history is obviously seen everywhere in the hotel. A story preserved, from the imposing staircase, impressive architecture of this palazzo, through the astonishingly beautiful original frescoes - never seen bedrooms that are unparalleled. All of these interlaced in harmony with magnificent Murano chandeliers and other elements with contemporary flair. A sense of warm welcome can be felt through the staff. They are unobtrusive but very attentive and helpful. It was notably pristine from the bedrooms to the public areas. The Reception and Concierge are very knowledgeable in assisting what to experience and see in Venice. Food was absolutely divine from the best quality of ingredients. We love the concept of “cicchetti” ones which are traditional Venetian and those of the Chef’s creation. Excellent selection for breakfast, savory and sweet, along with the amazing coffee. Venice in itself has been and will always be unique & magical. Now the city has gained another remarkable gem. Descriptions and photos are merely not enough, one has to personally see the beauty, charm of Orient Express Venezia and experience the warm hospitality. We thank the entire staff for making our stay a wonderful and memorable one.

Palazzo Donà Giovannelli, now part of the Orient Express legacy, is a true masterpiece of restoration, where every detail has been curated with exceptional care and intention. The historic rooms are simply breathtaking, featuring exquisite finishes and authentic period character—nothing is left to chance. From Murano glass to delicate lace, from refined silverware to a carefully selected range of outstanding local products, the property beautifully celebrates the richness of Venetian heritage. Experiencing the palace during the Easter period elevated everything even further, with thoughtful seasonal touches such as traditional colomba and chocolate eggs, adding a warm and festive dimension to the stay. Breakfast was outstanding—an indulgent journey through local excellence, featuring delicacies such as San Daniele ham, herb-roasted ham, Wagyu bresaola, and Asiago cheese, all complemented by an excellent Lavazza coffee. This is not just a hotel, but a place to return to time and again—at different moments of the day, under ever-changing light—simply to admire the magnificent frescoes and immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of the palace. A truly unforgettable experience.

Che dire, l’hotel degli hotel magnifico romantico, nostalgico arabeggiante meraviglioso in tutto il suo splendore per non parlare delle camere dove veramente diventa difficile uscire, Il personale super qualificato ci ha consigliato degli ottimi ristoranti, dove abbiamo potuto provare i piatti tipici della tradizione veneziana, Consiglio anche i cocktail che vengono fatti in maniera maniacale, serviti in un giardino spettacolare, dove è anche possibile fumare, Purtroppo il Ristorante era chiuso per un evento privato, ma vi posso assicurare che c’è bastato assaggiare la colazione per capire che la cucina è più che eccezionale addirittura c’è un menu delle uova per non parlare degli strepitosi dolci fatti in casa e al momento, Le camere rispettano lo stile dell’Orient express ma allo stesso tempo sono super tecnologiche in tutto per non parlare del bagno di marmo che è veramente una vera e propria opera d’arte, Il letto sembra fatto di Nuvole, è stato veramente magnifico aver potuto soggiornare in questo nuovo magnifico albergo dimenticavo di dirvi che è situato in una zona centrale con un proprio pontile dal quale è possibile prendere sia il taxi che la gondola, davanti all’hotel troverete diverse tipologie di negozi a partire dal Barbiere alla farmacia, grazie di tutto alla prossima.

Quest’hotel non è una semplice struttura alberghiera ma una vera opera d’arte lievemente arabeggiante ti trascina in un’atmosfera unica riportandoti indietro nel tempo ma allo stesso tempo offrendoti il massimo della tecnologia, le camere sono perfette, prive di ogni rumore e mantengono un aspetto classico e di lusso senza trascurare le innovazioni tecnologiche che ti permettono di vivere un’emozione unica, è possibile infatti regolare l’intensità di ogni singola luce e di ogni area la televisione è connessa con tutti i canali del mondo e ovviamente anche una smart TV ,il bagno è magnifico tutto di marmo con Prodotti per l’igiene di altissima qualità, per non parlare del letto, dove ti viene quasi voglia di non uscire, la colazione la mattina ti permette anche di svegliarti tardi infatti è possibile consumarla fino alle 11 un menu internazionale con diverse cotture delle uova e una vasta varietà di dolci per non parlare del cappuccino che è una vera opera d’arte. L’hotel è centrale, ed ha un pontile tutto suo dal quale è possibile prenotare un taxi o una gondola. Il personale è molto educato e preparato a noi ad esempio ha consigliato degli ottimi ristoranti tipici dove abbiamo potuto assaggiare la vera cucina veneziana insomma un posto che rimarrà nei nostri cuori per tutta la vita. .
