Stunning hotel on the grand canal

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We just got back from Venice and stayed here while there. It’s a stunningly beautiful hotel on the grand canal. We were celebrating a 30yr anniversary so splurged on a suite with a balcony. It was very well appointed and comfortable and had anything you could need. It’s pure luxury., arty and very modern. The staff was helpful and friendly and we loved the location as it was just a 10-15 minute walk to anywhere in the city.

Felt like lived the Italian dream

Beautiful, stunning very clean hotel and staff very friendly. Michele was such a gentleman and excellent service from arrival to departure very knowledgeable and professional. iNothing was too much for him. I also received excellent service from Chloe and Elena who were such a delight and made me to feel at home. I lost my voice on the 3rd day as it was a full on weekend of wedding celebrations and Michele made this excellent tea that fixed me straight away and I was able to speak and enjoy the farewell brunch. There’s hotel staff I did not see, or remember names but house keeping staff were top notch and I’m gutted I didn’t get to meet and say thank you. I had dropped my make up pallet in my bathroom on my way out in a rush for pre wedding dinner and on return it was scooped up and placed carefully so I would be able to make the choice to still use or dispose an I don’t remember other names but Rachel and team were so welcoming too and one of the gentleman gave us a map to tour city and took his time explaining everything highlighting the best spots. I did get lost but because I was in awe of the beautiful city. I didn’t have dinner there as we were meeting with family but no doubt it’s exquisite. I would return again highly recommend.

Fabulous few days in Venice.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

It is hard to find a quiet place in Venice, especially in August when the tourist traffic is peaking. Finding a quiet place with true luxury and quality is a unicorn experience! That is precisely what we found at the beautiful Palazzina Grassi Hotel: an extraordinary, calming, luxurious place, off a hidden alley and quiet street in one of the busiest tourist destinations on earth. Way better than those five-star hotels in the middle of the action for people like us.

Elegant and peaceful with delicious traditional food.

Palazzina Grassi was a fantastic hotel, discreet luxury with exceptional food & staff including at the bar (i wanted a cocktail not on the menu and they made me a delicious long refreshing fruity number with Amaro del capo to get the traditional Italian vibe); we shared many plates and the restaurant and chef even agreed to open early for us so we could enjoy dinner one evening before we went to a Vivaldi concert. Nothing is too much trouble and every mouthful was a treat. you must visit the loo if you go too, very nice. The rooftop lounge was a nice bit of tranquility for after a busy day of walking and the rooms are beautiful (standard room is compact but elegant). Would definitely consider staying here again.
