Great silver wedding anniversary stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

This is a great hotel on the outskirts from central Venice, but very walkable or even shorter via the waterways. Upon arrival Sara did a very good job of explaining the hotel facilities, gave us a welcome drink and showed us to our room. There was a lovely welcome gift and card in the room acknowledging our 25th wedding anniversary and this was repeated on the actual day of our anniversary when inflatable balloons were also added, a lovely touch by the hotel and most appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean and a good size. Breakfast was a lovely buffet with plenty of choice and you even get to select one item each from the a la carte menu. The area itself if really nice, not overcrowded and we found some great bar and restaurants with a 10 min walk. The hotel recommended a lovely restaurant just a 6 mins walk behind the hotel, for our anniversary meal and the hotel staff are all so friendly and helpful. The only negative I have is that the sidewalk in front of the hotel was being replaced and we were one floor above this. Had we known in advance then we would not have booked a canal view room as the workmen were far from quiet. Would I stay at this hotel again, yes 100%. We had a lovely time

Absolutely Charming!

The hotel was previously a high school, they have kept original elements and updated it fabulously! It's intimate and gorgeous. One of our tour guides while in Venice went to school there-which was cool :) The staff was wonderful, attentive and pleasant. We had aperitif with cicchetti each day and did a Spritz Master Class with the bartender who was always a pleasure/helpful during interactions. The breakfast was unexpectedly expansive and delicious! Overall our whole group was so pleased with our experience here.

Great hotel away from the Venice crowds.

Beautiful hotel overall. First, the hotel is a quick walk from the train station and away from the more touristy spots in Venice, which is a definite plus. The hotel property is gorgeous but has some construction on the water facing side, and you can’t sit by the water at the hotel. Next, the property was very clean, and our rooms had a nice assortment of fresh fruit and champagne waiting in our rooms. Lastly, the one area of improvement was on the misinformation given by the hotel at checkin, e.g., we were told the fitness center opened at 9am when the signage at the center indicated otherwise and water taxis may take an hour not 20 minutes to arrive.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Venice

Amazing stay at the Radisson Collection hôtel. We booked a junior suite for 3 nights. Rooms are huge and superbly decorated. Location is fantastic with the boat from and to the airport, Murano or St Marco 50 yards from the hotel. Staff is courteous and helpful.
