Reviews for San Clemente Palace Venice

A memorable stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 13 hours ago

Our stay at San Clemente Palace was five stars in every aspect. The room was exceptional and the hotel and gardens provided a welcome respite from the crowds in Venice. Our dining experiences were all amazing and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Although we had booked our stay through Viking Cruises, who were very helpful with our accommodations and activities, it was our hotel concierge, Dan, who arranged our visits to Murana and Burana, complete with private water taxis and hosts when we arrived at each island. Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay a special and memorable event.

An absolute GEM!

San Clemente Palace is an absolute GEM! It's located about a 10 minute boat ride from St Mark's Square. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to/from every 40 minutes so it's quite convenient. The rooms are perfectly designed, and the grounds are stunning. The staff is young, fun and professional. GREAT service all around. The spa is lovely. My husband and I both got massages and tried their Cryotherapy Suite - such a cool experience. The massages were some of the best we have ever had. After spending time in town, we couldn't wait to get back to the hotel. It has a very calming and welcoming energy. I would absolutely recommend this property to anybody looking to experience Venice yet have a haven to go back to at the end of the day.

Excellent place offering a calm refuge from Venice's hustles

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Excellent hotel, offering exactly that kind of calm one needs when having been exposed to Venice's tourism craziness. The former monastery has a distinguished charm and well-balanced luxury features, which make it stand out against all-too fancy places which remind more of Vegas or Dubai than anything else. Overall, wonderful and genuine atmosphere, exquisite gardens, friendly staff, good food and spacious, high ceiling rooms. Two points for improvement, perhaps - there are too many music sources that interfere with each other, so that if one spends time at the bar, one might have to listen to soft jazz and Celine Dion at the same time. Also, the very nice gym suffered from multiple out-of-order Technogym equipment, which seems unnecessary. Notwithstanding - we will be back for sure. It the place to go in Venice, without doubt.

A wonderful stay at at a top notch resort away from the cry

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The San Clemente Palace is THE most wonderful hotel/resort that we have ever stayed in. With an amazing location - 10 minutes by water shuttle to St Mark’s Square - it is away from the crowds yet very close to the city. The grounds are spectacular; beautiful landscaping, well lighted and perfectly maintained. Common areas are very spacious, beautifully designed and extremely clean. Restaurants were great - food, service and atmosphere. Our room was lovely. ALL of the staff were amazing - doormen, front desk, restaurant team (esp our Egyptian waiter as well the rest of the food service team) and housekeeping.

Was excellent as always. Peaceful and quiet. Exactly what is needed after Venice. Great pool, nice spa and open air gym.
