I chose to go to St Regis because I had an event organized in Venice and it was the proposed hotel. I added one night on my own and I chose one of the most beautiful suites overlooking the canal and as I always do I asked for a very quiet suite. We came back in the evening after dinner very early (at 20.30 in the room) and the room was literally frozen! The air conditioning was on 17 degree!! The day had been hot (25 degrees) but not enough to justify a similar temperature. We had to stay dressed with the jacket for an hour. I called the reception and turned up the temperature in the suite . I also complained because the room was incredibly noisy and from the bar arrived disco music sounds. The Congierge answered me that maybe a neighbor was listening to the music because they only make very low lounge music and that she would have warned the security. She would have sent to me the maintenance man for the air conditioning. I specified that I had put the do not disturb and if it was necessary to remove it and she told me no because she would have warned him. After half an hour still in the cold I try to call back 3 times. I’m always waiting until I try from my cell phone. They answer me and say they will send the maintainer. More time passes then I remove the do not disturb and find it outside. He is a very kind person, he explains to us that by law you cannot turn on the heating until the winter season and turn off the air conditioning. For the music - which he also finds to be loud and annoying and come from the bar - he will make a report to the concierge. At 22.30 I called back for the umpteenth time since the music seemed like Rimini disco and I asked at what time it will end. She answered me that she’ll inquire and she didn’t call me back anymore. The next day we went to the reception and asked about the gm who was not there, we talked to the manager on duty who apologizes summarily and said she will look for solutions. They propose us to change the room and to help us with the luggage and that until 3 p.m we’ll have the room so we can move easily with calm. We came back after a walk and the cleaning manager told us they need the room for the next client and the Concierge didn’t advise him that we can keep the room until we change! Is this the way to treat a customer who paid a very expensive price for the room and didn’t sleep all night? I have no words! I’ve never seen a similar service

Had an incredible 3 night stay at this gorgeous property situated directly on the Grand Canal with direct views of Basilica Santa Maria Della Salute and San Giorgio Maggiore. From check in to check out, everything was amazing. The hotel staff were extremely polite, professional and helpful throughout. Had a partial Canal view room which was great and had a super view. The breakfast at Gio’s was top notch! Sitting on the Grand Canal while sipping coffee each morning was breathtaking. A big shout out to Vincenzo, Marco and Thomas who made our morning breakfasts special! I highly recommend this hotel in Venice, especially for Marriott Elite members!

Our stay was fabulous. We were upgraded to the Monet Suite, omg it was fantastic, special… the views were bar none the best in Venice, overlooking the Grand Canal. Very walkable to St Marks Square , shops, restaurants. The breakfast was very good, especially again the views outside. Very classy . 3bd time at this hotel and it keeps getting better!

Still a gem. Best location in Venice, stunning views, exceptional service, beautiful rooms and a beacon of luxury. Sadly, under the Marriott umbrella I have watched the patina of luxury slowly fade from existence. The St. Regis Venice is a notable exception which continues to shine and still provides a true five star luxury expense. We return year after year and each checkout holds the promise of our next check in. A truly great property expertly managed and staffed with best luxury has to offer.
