Romantic lovely location on Grand Canal

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We recently visited this property and stayed for a portion of our honeymoon. We had a great experience! The room was well appointed and very comfortable as well as the bathroom. We enjoyed the location and we sat outside every morning and evening on the canal. The view is lovely and we even saw a red moon in the evening. We arrived by water taxi and from the second we arrived we were treated with style and class from the check in process to leaving the property. Our favorite employee was Thomas, who was part of the wait staff who served at breakfast. He was a delightful gentleman and was on top of our every request. We can't wait to return and hope to be able to stay here again! We just can't say enough about it all!

What an amazing hotel! Everything about our experience was special. Great room…super comfortable with wonderful bath products. The staff’s professionalism, helpfulness and kindness was outstanding. Lots of special touches made this stay a forever “wow” memory. The location was perfection- close to everything!! Highly recommend!

Great Location But Could Have Been Better For The Price

Positives: Location, decorated kids' room with balloons and a puzzle gift which was a nice touch, Acqua Di Parma products in the bathroom, delicious breakfasts, views of the water. Negatives: same food selection everyday for breakfast (we were there for four nights), had emailed concierge before our arrival about securing a dinner reservation at a restaurant and never heard back, previous guest's clothes left in couple of the drawers in our room, one of the worst expensive dinner we have had.

Luxury Stay in the heart of Venice

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Luxury at its finest. Highly recommend arriving on a private water taxi as St Regis has their own dock. Stayed here as a Marriott Platinum member and was upgraded to a grand canal view room using SNAs. Was expecting a higher upgrade, but due to holidays the hotel was busy. Front desk was able to upgrade another couple we were traveling with as well who did not have status. Breakfast buffet for members was one of the best I've had in my life sitting on the Grand Canal. Location is prime to all things you would wish to do in Venice. While the stay was not cheap, it was a good value to use my Marriott points here and I would do so again.

position, position, position...and glamour!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We arrived at a very busy time for the St Regis Hotel. Despite this we were made to feel like the only 'VIP's' in town. It is this kind of personal attention and service that I am sure they extend to all guests which sets the St Regis apart. Within minutes of stepping off the boat and into the highly secure property we were being shown to what is arguably the best situated room category in Venice . The Grand Canal sprawled in front of our suite providing an endless procession of gondolas and working boats. It is literally the heartbeat of the city from dawn to dusk. Despite being in such a magical city it was hard to drag ourselves away from the suite. On this subject, the quality of our accommodation was faultless. It included the best bathroom we have ever experienced. A free standing bath, huge shower, double vanities and high quality products. Add this to a wonderful bedroom with walk in wardrobe area, makes you realise that finally a hotel designer knows what it takes to make a long stay comfortable. The blackout curtains and perfect silence make this a suite to race back to each day and sleep so deeply. Whoever says it doesnt really matter where you stay in Venice surely has not stayed in a hotel like the St Regis. We particularly appreciated the faultless housekeeping and the 'can do' attitude of all staff. None of the increasingly common 'push back' that seems to be creeping into 5 star hotels was ever noticed at the St Regis. Makes sure you experience the nightly champagne sabrage. A uniquely St Regis tradition and one that gets you in the mood for Venice at night. If we were to make a small suggestion. If you are a long stay booking you may find the breakfast a little repetitive and less than exciting. Having said that, we will definitely return to the St Regis. A hotel with easily the best position in Venice. It is literally at the cross roads of everything glamorous! A destination city that has a destination hotel to live up to your expectations.
