The St. Regis Venice

I had high expectations even before arriving, and what I actually encountered exceeded them by far. First, the general atmosphere – classic, meticulous. Then the room: spacious, charming, and very clean and organized, beautifully furnished with lovely interior touches. Right after that, the bathroom and shower – simply wonderful! Well-equipped, modern, and very roomy. The breakfast dining room is so welcoming, attentive, and everything is done in good taste. The service from everyone, starting with reception, through the bellboy and the rest of the staff (bar, dining room), was simply wonderful! Words can't describe how kind, attentive, available, and unobtrusive they were! They were professional and knew how to help and elaborate on anything, including maps and local recommendations. The location: 100 out of 100! Everything within easy reach and very close. Next to the boat exit (to the canal) there are intimate seating spots overlooking the canal, and toward the Bridge of Sighs, which is visible from the small balcony and is so close. Just about 200 meters from the exit is Piazza San Marco. What more is there to say?! Well, there is. The hotel's regular entrance is quiet and away from the bustle happening just 50 meters from it. Nearby: restaurants, bars, and alleyways that lead you to every worthwhile and fascinating place. To sum up: if I go to Venice again, I won't look for another place – I'll arrange in advance to stay at this hotel, and I'll warmly recommend it to anyone who asks about accommodation in Venice. The value for money – the best you could ask for!

We have stayed at this hotel for several years. Sadly, it is but a shadow of its former status as a true luxury hotel. The checkin process was tedious and slow. Of the four people who greeted us, three asked if it was our first time at the hotel demonstrating an absolute indifference to loyalty. Many small touches indicative of a luxury property such as fresh flowers in our room, fresh fruit and nightly chocolates, were forgotten or no longer provided. (I am a firm believer if you need to request or complain, you are not staying in a luxury hotel. ) The room service is subpar and the butlers, while pleasant, are poorly trained. The breakfast setting is absolutely beautiful and the service remains good, however, the food is mediocre at best. In fact of the six 5 star hotels we have stayed thus far in Italy, it ranks dead last. On the plus side the location is great and the concierge service continues to be a shine. Marco and his team are top notch and perhaps the last bastion of a 5 star experience that remains. Perhaps a change in management could cure the problem and restore the hotels lost luster. But all is not lost, the Rosewood and Four Seasons will be opening soon. At the end of the day it felt like Marriott with upgraded bath products and amazing concierge service

Wonderful family stay. Had 2 rooms for 2 adults and 3 children. Booked on points. The hotel assigned a lock off / dual key set of connecting rooms, which was great. Hotel transfers were super easy. Concierge was great- gave us a stroller to use for the stay. Amazing location- family friendly and kid friendly. Walk to the famous square and nearby shopping. One of the best! Complimentary transfer to and from the glass blowing factory was great. Kids loved learning from the glassblower.

When the wind was filled with electricity and ozone. A Venetian dream, filled my stay with poetically beautiful memories, magnificent history-rich stories entrenched between the walls of St Regis Venice filled my knowledge with what was, been, and is. I loved the stay, service, and experience. I highly recommend to stay if you look for poetic enlightenment and comfort. This is your romantic getaway.

This was the best hotel that we stayed at during our trip to Italy. Great rooms, incredible service and amazing food. The location near the piazza is wonderful too. The hotel did a great job organising MIP Medical to help administer some medication to me when I was ill. I’d also like to especially thank nurse Giovanna who was so kind and always showed up on time.
