Disappointing and the Customer Service Is the Worst

Dear Management Team at Costa d'Este Resort, I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at your property from April 25-28, 2025. What was meant to be a special birthday celebration turned into a series of frustrating experiences that have significantly damaged my perception of your resort. Promised Birthday Upgrade Never Delivered Despite being assured a complimentary room upgrade for my birthday (April 25th), this never materialized. I was proactive in following up: Called the reservations manager on April 7th to proactively ensure I'd receive it. The woman who answers the reservations line was rude, but sent me to his Alexi's voicemail. After receiving no response, called again on April 14th. She was rude again, said he's available but was assisting with check in. I shared that iI hadn't received a callback and she rudely made excuses that he's helping with check out etc. I told her that was absolutely fine, but it's been 1 week and there's not an excuse for that part (felt I had to defend my simply sharing of how I hadn't been called yet, and she offered no apology only excuses to me as a guest). Sent me to voicemail and on that voicemail I told him that his co-worker, the female was very rude to me. I'd remember her name if you asked me for it. Finally received a callback 4-5 days later from Alexi only to be told "we're already full" and couldn't give me my promised complimentary room upgrade. *I felt as if they were punishing me for calling them out about the rudeness in the days prior. I was sure of it when my room was located in the South tower, overlooking dumpsters upon check in. This response was particularly disappointing as I had made arrangements well in advance specifically to avoid such an issue. The promised upgrade was a key factor in my decision to book with Costa d'Este. Unprofessional Staff Interactions On both occasions when I called regarding my reservation, I was treated rudely and condescendingly by the female staff member working with the reservations manager Alexi (at each interaction, not just once). This type of customer service is unacceptable at any establishment, let alone one charging premium rates. Consistently Poor Service Throughout Stay The service issues continued throughout my entire stay: Poolside Bar: My daughter and I were completely ignored for 20 minutes while staff focused on restocking rather than attending to customers. I finally had to approach someone directly and ask if there was a problem, before receiving any service. Beach Service: On that same first day, once on the beach with the drink I had to solicit, once I was out, I had to actively seek out staff to receive any service at our beach chairs. On the second day, despite being at the beach for four hours, not a single staff member approached us for service. I was forced to bring my own drinks to the beach after learning from the previous day's experience. Check-out Experience: We waited 20 minutes for a bellman to assist with our luggage during check-out. We ultimately transported our own belongings and only encountered the bellman on our way down. Positive Exceptions I would like to acknowledge the excellent service provided by Justin and Robert from the valet team, as well as the entire night shift valet staff. They were the sole bright spots in an otherwise disappointing experience. Resolution Request For a 3 night stay costing $1,900, the level of service was simply unacceptable. This experience has left me inclined to choose the Kimpton for future visits to the area unless Costa d' Este can provide appropriate remedy.

Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and incredibly nice staff! Service was excellent! Will definitely be back in the future! So many activities for all ages. The Estefans have raised the bar for the resort experience on the Treasure Coast.

A Mixed Bag

This is an amazing location. The property is beautiful. The pool gorgeous but cold. It’s not heated at all. Each time we went to the pool/hot tub there was trash on the pool deck. At this price point, that should not be the case. And no one should have to chase down a towel, again this was my chore each time at the pool. The vibe is not family friendly at all, in fact felt that families were not welcome, that it’s a couples only place. I was on holiday with my one teen. We were there Easter weekend so a lot of services on hold or not available, like in room dining. The spa is amazing! Book a treatment! The spa also has a great little gift shop. The service for food/ beverages on the beach is outstanding. Reception at times super helpful, at others not so much. I was encouraged to sign up for the Mosaic Awards program and was told there was a gift to do so, I picked the gift, never given it. Valets are great. Super location to the world famous Ocean Grill. Room was large, clean, beds super comfortable, balcony very nice. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and excellent service. Would I go again? Maybe.

Wonderful Experience

After a failed trip to Jamaica in 2024, we were looking for the perfect beach experience and found this resort. Our trip started with the check-in desk and Athena with her big smile and excellent service. It was everything we wanted it to be and more. The staff and service were all exceptional. Rooms were well-appointed and had great beachfront views. Cabana chairs on the beach were just what we wanted, and the service was great (thank you, Nick and Haley). There was some seaweed washed ashore, but not much, and the water was clear. We are already planning a trip back next year with our adult children. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful experience.

last weekend, I paid a premium price for a corner room, ocean front what I got after arriving late I woke to a room over a bar and an outside seating area with music blasting all day long. I wanted to sleep late because of arriving late the previous day but with the music blasting, and the people talking around the bar, it was impossible. The front desk offered a minor dollar compensation, which didn’t come close to not being able to use the room at all. This room should be the cheapest room in the hotel because of the environment created one floor below. The front desk was less than amenable to any real compensation.
