Tucked into a wooded park on the edge of the Royal Domain, Trianon Palace Versailles is an exceptional retreat charged with history, now part of the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Collection. This regal French setting just outside Paris is paired with stately contemporary décor and an exclusive array of amenities, including Spa Guerlain, a kingdom of wellness dedicated to body and spirit. Make sure not to miss the exclusive and exquisite on-site Gordon Ramsay restaurant, Gordon Ramsay au Trianon for fine dining. You might stay in the modern Pavilion Building, or choose the historic Palace Building, where you can throw your windows open to centuries-old trees, lush gardens and stunning views of landscape once dominated by Louis XIV. In fact, the Treaty of Versailles was actually written in Trianon Palace Versailles's Clémenceau Room.

We have been a customer of this hotel for almost 15 years. We have our habits! It was the first time that we encountered so many issues that the staff seemed to be unable to fix. Upon arrival, the person at the Front Desk had many difficulties to find our booking. We requested an early check-in as we are Hilton member traveling with a child but once again, we had to further explain during hours. We waited for the room to be ready at the bar located outside but the service was as well very slow. Finally, our drinks came but with no olive or appetizer as it was in the past. After one hour awaiting our room, we decided to stop by the reception: we were told us that our room was ready for more than half hour but nobody gave us a call to inform us… The room service was ok despite small portions and higher prices. Upon departure, the check out (done at 10:00 am) was fast. We were asked if we were leaving right away after we underlined we just wanted to pay early to avoid queues. The subliminal message was not good as we interpreted this like « please leave the hotel! ». Last but not least, we noticed a huge mistake on the bill: the hotel charged us a room service of other customers (with a final price by almost 200€). No commercial or a little symbolic gesture to apologize was proposed. We had a bad experience this time maybe due to a bank holiday (May 1, 2026). We were surprised that no manager was around as this in these times that a manager should be there to deal with these small issues. Not sure that we will go back soon.

Wonderful stay, and escape near by Paris. We love the fact that the hotel is surrounded by tranquility and overlooking the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. This hotel combines history, elegant and pure luxury beautifully. We also enjoyed the Indoor pool, sauna, and loved wonderful time at Peacock Alley. Thanks to Leon for his amazing hospitality 🙏 Truly in love, can’t wait to return

The Palace wing is undeniably modern and spacious, and the housekeeping and breakfast team is a rare bright spot of genuine politeness. It is just a shame the rest of the guest experience felt like a social experiment in tiered hospitality. Afternoon tea was a particularly silent affair; while the French guests were treated to an orchestral explanation of their meal, we were served our etageres with a curt "enjoy" and zero context. It is fascinating how "limited English" only seems to apply to the food descriptions and not the ordering process. However, the real "Waldorf experience" arrived via the Spanish-speaking front desk agent (South American lady). For the bargain price of over 500€ a night, I didn't realize I was also purchasing a lecture in parking-ticket paranoia. To be met with "there will be trouble" over a lost slip of paper—while the staff simultaneously failed to operate the parking gate they promised to open twice—was a masterclass in hostile hospitality. If your goal was to make a guest feel like a secondary school student in detention, congratulations: mission accomplished.

I was slightly concerned about the hotel after some of the reviews, but very pleasantly surprised! They gave us a complementary upgrade to a junior suite on arrival (Hilton gold membership). Beautiful room, large bathroom with heated floors, lovely view over looking the park. Staff was helpful, breakfast was great, wonderful stay! I can see how someone used to top of the line, brand new hotels, might be turned off by the small wear and tear of a 100+ year old hotel, but over all the maintenance was fine and it had the touches that made it feel five star. It was a perfect way to start our trip and a great way to do Versailles.

We spent 1 night but wish it had been more. The hotel (palace side - we didn’t explore the other building) was gorgeous and the staff were all so kind and helpful. Before our visit the concierge arranged transfer for us so our arrival in Paris was seamless. We ate a very good lunch at Peacock Alley followed by Afternoon tea while we waited for our room to be ready (self induced as we opted for the upgraded room (Amex FHR&Diamond status) which was still being prepared. We stayed in a Junior King Suite which was clean and very large and it had a beautiful view of the gardens. We enjoyed the pool and beautiful hammam, ordering room service to end the night which was also outstanding. We very much appreciated the welcome amenity and recognition of our visit. So much attention to detail here! The location was perfect for our early morning entry to the palace with a beautiful walk through the gardens to get there. The only thing I’d change is our length of stay - we wish we had stayed least 2 nights so we could really relax and explore the palace and grounds without feeling rushed. There is so much to see!

This is a fabulous place to have romance, relaxation and feel very special. I highly recommend it. Beautifully decorated! We were only going to visit for one night and stayed for three. Spectacular. The town of Versailles is very special, and only a 25-minute train ride to the heart of Paris.
