Founded in the early Twenties with the name Select Palace Hotel, in 1925 it was extended by two floors and embellished by the magnificent façade that harmonizes the central part. Time has transformed it into a Grand Hotel of international fame that is the preferred residence of aristocrats, intellectuals, and artists alike. Rechristened the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte in 1938, its grandeur has captured the attention of countless directors becoming the scene for prestigious cinematographic productions. Restored to the height of its splendor in 2004, after 19 months of restoration, today the Principe is unquestionably one of the world’s most historic and elegant hotels. The Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte has 102 rooms and suites laid out across five themed floors either with a sea view or looking out at the Apuan Alps with every modern comfort and offering truly excellent service. The rooftop terrace is situated on the top floor of the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte, a stunning location with a magnificent pool overlooking the sea of Versilia.

We went to the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte to celebrate New Year’s Eve. At first, I was quite skeptical about this idea, but once we arrived, we were immediately welcomed in a very warm and friendly way. After enjoying a wonderful 90°C sauna (according to the Russian tradition before New Year’s Eve), I got ready for dinner, which turned out to be astonishing in every way. During dinner, there was a live music concert, mainly jazz, my favorite genre, so I was more than happy to listen to my favorite melodies, surrounded by people joyfully dancing and smiling. It was an experience absolutely worth repeating. I would already like to book it again for next year.

Location is good. They have a valet service and also recharge your electric vehicle. We had a deluxe room, which was spacious and high (about 4 meters). Big and good bed. Lot of space for your luggage. Bathroom was big, both a bath and shower, and a sauna! There is a rooftop pool with heated water. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. And the breakfast! It is by far the best I’ve ever had! ABaC and L’Enclume have very good breakfast too, but nothing compared to Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte. Everything was first class and it was a lot! You shouldn’t miss if, if you are staying here. One of the best hotels I have ever visited.

This hotel cannot be beat! The Staff, food, location and cleanliness is like no other! I have stayed at The Ritz many times and this is well beyond that. First we were greeted by Orville, who was so great, especially to my elderly mom. Then we met Chiara at the front desk, who is beyond professional, caring and so sweet! She guided us to the best place to go in Cinque Terre, even wear to park. She was always smiling and so helpful. All the staff was unbelievable. Now lets talk about rooms and location. Right across from the beach and restaurants, location was great but, it was the size and cleanliness of the rooms that were amazing. Super clean and large beautiful rooms. Lastly FOOD, the 2 Star Michelin Chef Giuseppe Mancino completely outdoes himself here. The food is exquisite, so fresh and delicious. The extensive selection is out of this world, from Oysters, to caviar, to every egg you can think of, fresh prosciutto, Ramen, fruit, pastries, I can go on and on. Absolutely amazing from beginning to end! Thank you to everyone who made our stay remarkable!

Where traditional elegance brings modern luxury at this most wonderful hotel. The location is gorgeous on the fabulous Viareggio beach with a magnificent roof top pool overlooking the beautiful beach and marble moutains. The staff were exceptional attentive and made our stay even more special. The rooms are spacious with fabulous service. The breakfast is a highlight not only with wonderful service but exceptional food and variety. The 2 Michelin star restaurant certainly lives up to its stars withe both the service and wonderful food being a taste sensation. Excellent location close to the Cinque Terra and Pisa. We will be back and an absolute must.
