Reviews for Hotel Grand Pacific

Absolutely first class hotel, but avoid the restaurant marred

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Fantastic hotel, great staff, amazing food, lovely rooms but with only one minor flaw - the restaurant supervisor in the restaurant is appalling. We stayed three nights and ate their on two evening and tried to eat one lunchtime. Each time we encountered him he was negative miserable and tried to turn us away because we’re only half an hour away from their cutoff time for serving food. We had to beg him to let us have two bowls of soup and bread and granted to be away in half an hour. He is not representative of the rest of the staff who are fantastic. We have stayed in eight different hotels in Canada on this trip including some fairmonts and this would have come out on top if not this misery!!!!

A lovely stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We were welcomed by Daniel at the front desk, he was so lovely, a great first impression. Our room was nice… a standard hotel room, nothing fancy, but also not rundown. This hotel is in a great location by the harbour and within walking distance to most things Victoria. The parking garage is not huge, but had lots of parking available for us. The beds were hard (in a good way) and comfortable, the area is quiet and the water pressure was amazing. Overall a lovely stay!

Hotel is Wonderful, Avoid the EV Chargers

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Hotel itself was wonderful, avoid the EV Charging for now. Room was wonderful, we failed to charge our EV after 45 minutes of trying. Hotel uses SWIFT for their charging, unfortunately the Level 2 only system is complicated for both staff to administer, and to actually use the system. Hopefully when their agreement is over with SWIFT they will move to the new standard NACS charging system with higher amperage.

Perfect position and nice hotel

We spent 2 nights in Victoria which is plenty and this hotel is very central and a great base . Gym and pool area not so appealing but otherwise all ok . Shout out to great service in the restaurant when we were rushing to a tour and they got our breakfast super fast .

Modern hotel in Victoria's charming Inner Harbour

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We booked this as a hotel/ferry package through FRS Clipper Ferry. It was an ideal hotel for our three nights in Victoria. Couldn't be more conveniently located directly across the street from the ferry terminal. Easy walking distance to major attractions like BC Parliament Buildings, The Empress hotel, Royal BC Museum, and lots of dining & shopping options along the harbour front and in the core downtown area. Bus stops and water taxi stations are also located nearby. Bathroom was spacious and well-appointed. Plenty of storage and seating options in the room. Beds were very comfortable. Really enjoyed the balcony (we were on the 5th floor). Would not hesitate to book again for a future stay in Victoria.

Fantastic staff, great location - what more could you ask for?! The kids loved the cookies and milk they got room serviced in the evenings.
