Wonderful in every way possible…the grounds, lobby, elevators, hallways, rooms - immaculate and 100% of the time. Staff always friendly and helpful…don’t think they know how to say the word “no.” We will definitely stay here again. Located across the street from the Victoria Clipper Ferry dock. Nice that they gladly will store your luggage if you arrive before checkin or if your ferry or other transportation doesn’t depart until well after checkout. Recommend reservations for the Fathom restaurant, even breakfast.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel at the tail end of a multi city business trip. Everything was perfect - the spacious room, morning room service, the bed, etc. I really enjoyed having an outdoor balcony. I would stay here again!

It was a really beautiful hotel! Our room was classy yet modern and fit perfectly with the overall style and interior of the hotel. The staff were super nice and very welcoming. Parking was a little expensive, but overall okay. The location was perfect — we could easily do everything on foot, which was a huge plus. Honestly, nothing to complain about. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend giving this hotel a try!

Our stay was just “okay”. No major issues, but I’m not sure I’d choose this hotel again. Out of several hotels during our Canadian travels, this was our least favourite. We booked the premier luxury suite. Pros - very large room. Perfect for families - location- on the harbour near to the main attractions - amazing views from the balconies Cons - welcome at reception was underwhelming. We were told that we could make the sofa bed up ourselves but that we could call housekeeping if not. We got the impression that we were expected to do it ourselves. - welcome card left in room said “welcome back”. We’ve never stayed before. If shows a lack of personal service and attention to detail. - beds not very comfortable as quite firm - dirty marks on bathroom door. Looked like food or something - wiped off easily with a wipe, so it was a lack of proper cleaning . - frayed towels - pulls in carpet - dirty grout on shower floor We ate in the restaurant once - great food, service okay (but we’ve experienced more friendly). For the rest of our stay, we had our meals at the Empress. The welcome there was fabulous and we felt much more welcomed and at home. All in all, it’s fine. It’s not a bad price for the area but there is definitely room for improvement. We’ve stayed at a fair few IPrefer hotels. This is our least favourite.

Only there for one night but a very mice place to stay in Victoria. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very efficient despite having to deal with so many people in reception. Great location, allowing easy access to the city and harbour... very nice indeed.

Fantastic staff, great location - what more could you ask for?! The kids loved the cookies and milk they got room serviced in the evenings.
