Stayed at this boutique luxury hotel for a few nights recently. It was priced in the luxury bracket and it was well situated on a quiet road near the main sector. Definitely convenient . Our room was a good size and had a fireplace and that was a nice upgrade provided to us . Thats the plus side but unfortunately the negatives were many and included the following Upon arrival there was zero help with our luggage we could cope with that. But I watched a family with kids load up trolley from the roadside by themselves. Poor start The lobby area was limited and bar restaurant also not really a space to chill. So you end up literally using your room only and not the hotel Asked for a tea to our room and another hot drink. It arrived promptly but no milk. Asked for milk was brought the long life milk mini cartons. Was told milk would have to be a restaurant request. It later arrived. I had already drunk my tea. Poor Very little interaction from the front desk when you arrive focus on pc screen oftem sadly No bottle of water in the room at all on any day. £300 a night. Difficult to understand Housekeeping staff were great clearly the heartbeat of the hotel working hard In summary a hotel with no soul really. Lack of welcome. Like a posh b and b where you come and go Last day bill pushed under the door. No call to ask how was yout stay. Off we go I would ask the managers to improve on these points and take them on board Stayed at many many hotels in 40 countries this was the least welcoming boutique hotel sadly Good luck going forwards

Amazing location, top quality service and attention without asking. This is our go to hotel when we are in Victoria. No need to see anything else.

We are avid travellers, supporters of great local businesses and service establishments. We booked one night at Magnolia Hotel. Due to a sudden change in health of my wife (diagnosed with terminal breast cancer), we are unable to make our trip out to BC. For one night at Magnolia, they refused to cancel our reservation despite our desire to pay them at least a cancellation fee. They have lost customers and customers friends for life. Thank you for your kindness, Magnolia hotel.

Outstanding hotel. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful, from the front desk, to the restaurant, to housekeeping. Our Diamond King room was very nice, with a perfect bathroom. The bar/restaurant is great. Highly recommend adding breakfast plan! Location virtually next door to the Empress and inner harbor can’t be beat.

We had another lovely stay at the Magnolia. We were there for a birthday trip and the hotel was very helpful in arranging flowers and chocolates upon our arrival. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the Parliament buildings and it was perfect. The hotel is central to the inner harbour, an easy walk to many restaurants and attractions. The hotel is elegant, well kept and the service is exceptional, which is hard to find these days. We loved it and will be back again!
