Magnolia Hotel & Spa

The place is amazing! Perfect location to walk everywhere downtown Victoria. Valet is expensive, however they recommend to park at the public library which is way cheaper per day. Only about 5min walk from the hotel. We never used our car while in Victoria, just walked everywhere. We had a room on the 5th floor and corner do we could see the water between buildings. Nice comply chairs to sit and read or watch TV. I hate sitting in the bed for that. Bed was comfy, a bit firm but we liked it. Nice products in the bathroom. There is a stand up shower and a soaker tub. Nice comfy robes and a bigger size one. Lobby itself is really nice with gorgeous live floral arrangements that change weekly. Would absolutely stay here again. Pricey depending when you go, worth the price we paid.

Excellent hotel in a very convenient downtown location. Staff were very attentive and we were made to feel very special. Food in the in house restaurant was also excellent.

I cannot say anything negative about the Magnolia. It was located very centrally and the staff were exceptional starting from the valet at the door to the reception. Even though the room was not ready at arrival, everything was seamless as they stored our bags as we went out to explore. By the time we came back, our baggage was already in the room and we were given a welcome prosecco drink! What was a pleasure also was no one had their hands out for tips......The room was beautifully appointed with a lovely fireplace and it was truly a luxurious space. The small touches with an Espresso machine and a tea kettle with an assortment of beautiful teas, and a nicely stocked fridge was appreciated. Even though the Empress Hotel is iconic, I would not trade a stay there with a day at the Magnolia!!!!!

We have stayed at the Magnolia twice, each time our experience has been wonderful! The location is close to all the downtown attractions, and we had a view of the Inner harbour during our second stay. The staff are welcoming, friendly and accommodating . We had both dessert and breakfast in the Courtney Room, which was delicious each time. Loved all the extra hospitality pieces that made our stay feel so special. The glass of bubbly on arrival, the turn down service with chocolates, the cookies, all were nice Extras. We would highly recommend staying here

We always stay at this small boutique hotel, a bit pricier but it is in a great location, nice big and quiet room, nice bathroom, with nice products. Air conditioning works well and the housekeeper keeps the room clean. Bed is comfortable to sleep on. Good front desk staff. It is what expected in a good hotel.
