Hilton Vienna Plaza

Stayed at this hotel some years ago and happy to return. Lovely hotel with pleasant staff. One gripe and one niggle. The niggle is that we had a corner room with oodles of space but therefore why not have two arm chairs? Our biggest grouse concerns breakfast which was very crowded due to the constraints of the architecture but the biggest issues was the temperature of the food. Over three days of our stay the food was consistently lukewarm. Even when a fresh tray of fried eggs was brought out my son said they were still not hot! These breakfasts were at 8:30 so plenty of guests and turnover.

Wow, it has been a long time we have stayed in a Hilton that runs the way it should with all the professionalism, cleaning, care, friendliness and outstanding service. With all the Hiltons we have stayed in around the world this reminded us of what Hilton set out to do. The services are outstanding and the bar on the ground floor is amazing. The ambience and setting out has been well thought out so one can sit in relative privacy and enjoy a conversation. The food and cocktails made correctly. The sauna is hot and clean attached with the gym. The junior suite was a great size and wonderfull set out and good views of the city. The executive lounge is just as good with someone cleverly situating the seating so one does not feel like in a great all. The food and drink is also very cleverly sorted. It does not have the tasteless food most executive lounges have simple food which is enough. Suggestions I have made in many a Hilton to do but go unnoticed. Well done this Hilton, the food does not have to be expensive or many courses just simple menu. The breakfast is just as well thought out. We thoroughly enjoyed this executive lounges which we haven’t in many other Hiltons. It was also good to see a thoroughly weekly clean taken with a lot of care. Many Hiltons do not do this and it is very noticeable many just try to safe money with cutting staff and cleaning which is a certain sign of future failure. Well done, this Hilton, 5 stars for outstanding care, professionalism, cleanliness, and overall presentation and ambience.

Great location, very convenient access to city center and dom. Friendly and nice staff, delicious breakfast , just the gym could be more clean!

The stay was nice. Rooms were clean and usual standards of a Hilton Hotel. We stayed over the New Year and location is good. The minibar can be filled from the marketplace in reception which was very convenient… then comes the issues: I had paid for my 2 rooms in advance … but at checkout I was told “nothing to pay” but 2 amounts in excess of Euro 440 total were taken. I got it refunded but took time and effort due to their mistake. Then a wallet was left and immediately located. After 21 emails the hotel has decided to keep my £180 cash which was in the wallet. I paid Euro 98 to get it shipped back and agreed to take full responsibility for the contents but they have decided to keep the cash instead. 10 days later. No wallet. It is unfortunate that they are uneducated on Courier requirements so have ended up stealing my cash. I had no choice as the alternative was that they would also keep my wallet, credit cards and drivers licence. REALLY NOT GREAT FROM THE HILTON BRAND. Yes. It was my fault for leaving the wallet but every hotel in the world has to have procedures in this event. The hotel is good and location excellent. Restaurant is fine. BUT they would have overcharged Euro 400+ for non existent room charges PLUS keeping my £180 against a Euro 98 courier bill. NOT HAPPY.
