The hotel is located in the center of commercial Vienna, overlooking the historic Ringstrasse and decorated with more than 1000 original art works. Close to some of Vienna’s biggest attractions, this Vienna hotel is the perfect base for exploring the Austrian capital. Marvel at the grandeur of Hofburg Palace, or contemplate the collection of art at the Kunsthistorisches Museum.

I will never stay at this hotel again. My room is spacious ( 10th floor room with balcony), but noise level from adjacent room is horrible. After complaining for two days to the hotel staff, issue has not been resolved. There seems to be a family of 8-10 people next door, and they are cooking, smoking cigars, and allowing children to scream all night. The hotel location is fine; food was just ok ( not great); heating was broken ( had to sleep with windows open to cool down the room). In short, this is not a 5 star hotel, and does not provide 5 star service. I would spend the extra money and find a place that is truly a 5 star hotel.

I never imagined writing a review like this, but what happened during our stay at the Hilton Vienna Plaza left such a deep mark that remaining silent would feel dishonest. My wife and I were staying at this hotel to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary, a milestone that had been carefully planned and was meant to be joyful and memorable. Instead, it became one of the most distressing trips we have ever experienced. On the evening of December 27 2025, I was the victim of a theft that occurred inside the hotel lobby. The situation was serious enough to require immediate police involvement and the filing of a formal police report. The Austrian police acted professionally, efficiently, and with genuine empathy. Sadly, the same cannot be said of the hotel. What was most upsetting was not only the incident itself, but the complete absence of human care afterward. Following a traumatic event that occurred within the hotel, there was no meaningful follow-up, no welfare check, no inquiry into how we were coping, and no reassurance whatsoever. For a hotel that positions itself as a high-end, international brand, this lack of concern was deeply unsettling. Because of the emotional distress, our anniversary dinner was canceled, and we were forced to forfeit a prepaid visit to the Belvedere Museum. I personally felt so shaken that I did not feel safe leaving the room for the remainder of our stay. What should have been a celebration turned into isolation and anxiety. Only after escalation did hotel management eventually meet with me and offer apologies. A partial reduction of charges was applied at checkout; however, the response felt purely administrative, not empathetic. The compensation did not reflect the seriousness of an incident that took place on hotel premises, nor the emotional toll and loss of experience that resulted. Adding to the disappointment were unresolved room issues, including malfunctioning air conditioning and in-room amenities that did not work properly, further reinforcing the impression that guest comfort and care were secondary concerns. I fully understand that no hotel can prevent every incident. However, a hotel can absolutely control how it responds when something goes wrong. In this case, the response fell far short of what one should expect from a property of this caliber. This experience fundamentally changed our perception of the Hilton brand. Apologies delivered late and compensation that failed to acknowledge the magnitude of what occurred do not restore trust. We will not return to this hotel, and I would strongly advise future travelers to consider carefully what level of support and care they can realistically expect if faced with a serious issue during their stay.

We are 3/4 of the way through our 7 night stay over the New Year period, and as per usual we have enjoyed every moment of our stay. This Hilton is superbly well located, offers great quality rooms & amenities, and has many superb team members! We have stayed here approx 5 or 6 times over the past 5 or so years, in their Junior Suites & Corner Room Categories (we actually prefer their corner rooms as they are much cooler than the Junior Suites which we have found to be too hot for our liking, even in Winter). The hotel décor is lovely, think 1920's / Art Deco, and we have seen huge improvements in the Executive Lounge offerings, for example breakfasts are way better than the past, which means breakfast can be enjoyed in the quieter lounge as opposed to the much busier & nosier main restaurant. Every team member we have interacted with has been superb, whether that be reception team who took in my many Amazon parcels, or Emile's F&B Team, or the lovely housekeeper on Floor 7 who has worked so very hard over the New Year period. The hotel has a lovely, clean and well equipped gym, and boasts superb team members, such as Lucas who oversees the Executive Lounge. He greeted & welcomed us like family on our first day, he's been working every day since, and despite some very busy evenings in the lounge he's always made time to come and ask how our day has been - what a great brand ambassador for Hilton, welcoming us back to the lounge each evening like royalty. Coupled with this, he leads by example, for example is keeping busy cleaning tables, replenishing the F&B offerings, engaging with guests and managing the team whom work in the lounge, Lucas is very much a hands on manager. There are two Hiltons in Vienna to choose from, and whilst the Plaza tends to always be the more expensive when compared to the Vienna Park, its a price we always feel is worth paying, as it feels more boutique, is smaller and more intimate, it's well located, has great facilities and superb team members such as Lucas. Thank you Hilton Vienna Plaza for yet another incredible stay, our first and only choice when visiting Vienna and we shall return for sure later this year!

Splendid location and such incredibly friendly staff from every level. Breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh fruits were extraordinary. I especially appreciated the sweet lychees and dragon fruit. The DIY mimosa with fresh orange juice is a true delight. Their daily smoothie concoction was also on point. From front office to wait staff to housekeeping, we were greeted with smiles and helpful attitude. I emailed Concierge a few months ago to arrange airport pickup since our flight came in close to midnight. They helped me arrange a reliable SIXT service for a reasonable 80€. My emails were always addressed. Rooms were sparkling clean with daily 2 waters. I also love the much needed hydrating lotion. The mini market at the lobby was perfect to buy a sandwich and beer as late night snack. We were within walking distance to Am Hof, Freyung, Stephanplatz, Graben Street, and Rathausplatz Christmas Market. Many thanks to the wonderful gentleman at Emile who generously offered me a glass of champagne on Christmas Eve to take to my room when I mistakenly thought it was for hotel guests 🤣. Thank you all for contributing to my family’s amazing memory of our first trip to Vienna. Frohe Weihnachte!
