Where do I start......the location is situated centrally in a good part of the city with most sights easily accessible. The reception staff were approachable, friendly and above all very helpful going above and beyond. On second floor breakfast the choice was more than adequate and the staff helpful and approachable making breakfast comfortable with helpful staff. Room staff were discreet and set a very high standard both room and bathroom were beyond clean throughout our stay. In general the hotel was well located, spotlessly clean and well presented. When we had an external problem reception staff did all they could to resolve it on our behalf. Last word to the staff many thanks for making our stay a memorable occasion.

It’s never easy to write a negative review about a hotel you’ve stayed at before, enjoyed, and even recommended to others—but unfortunately, this time was a complete disappointment. I won’t be returning. From start to finish, the experience was poor. On arrival, there was no porter or bellboy available to assist with luggage. Ironically, he seemed to appear only when help was no longer needed. Not the welcome you expect from a hotel of this category. The front desk was staffed by trainees who appeared to be unsupervised, resulting in a lack of professionalism and efficiency. The rooms are clearly outdated and fall short of even the minimum standards of a 4-star hotel—no tissues, a limited number of towels, and overall neglect in basic amenities. However, the biggest issue was the climate control system. The hotel uses an old centralized system that only provides heating—even when the room temperature is unbearably high. The suggested “solutions” were unacceptable: Open the windows for fresh air Endure significant street noise at night Deal with insects, including bees, during the day None of these are reasonable compromises for a paying guest. Management showed little to no concern in addressing the issue. Food quality was mediocre at best, and service in the restaurant was consistently poor—breakfast being the only exception. My recommendation: look elsewhere. Consider more reliable options such as Hilton, InterContinental, or Marriott, where standards and service are more consistent.

Stayed at this hotel some years ago and happy to return. Lovely hotel with pleasant staff. One gripe and one niggle. The niggle is that we had a corner room with oodles of space but therefore why not have two arm chairs? Our biggest grouse concerns breakfast which was very crowded due to the constraints of the architecture but the biggest issues was the temperature of the food. Over three days of our stay the food was consistently lukewarm. Even when a fresh tray of fried eggs was brought out my son said they were still not hot! These breakfasts were at 8:30 so plenty of guests and turnover.

Wow, it has been a long time we have stayed in a Hilton that runs the way it should with all the professionalism, cleaning, care, friendliness and outstanding service. With all the Hiltons we have stayed in around the world this reminded us of what Hilton set out to do. The services are outstanding and the bar on the ground floor is amazing. The ambience and setting out has been well thought out so one can sit in relative privacy and enjoy a conversation. The food and cocktails made correctly. The sauna is hot and clean attached with the gym. The junior suite was a great size and wonderfull set out and good views of the city. The executive lounge is just as good with someone cleverly situating the seating so one does not feel like in a great all. The food and drink is also very cleverly sorted. It does not have the tasteless food most executive lounges have simple food which is enough. Suggestions I have made in many a Hilton to do but go unnoticed. Well done this Hilton, the food does not have to be expensive or many courses just simple menu. The breakfast is just as well thought out. We thoroughly enjoyed this executive lounges which we haven’t in many other Hiltons. It was also good to see a thoroughly weekly clean taken with a lot of care. Many Hiltons do not do this and it is very noticeable many just try to safe money with cutting staff and cleaning which is a certain sign of future failure. Well done, this Hilton, 5 stars for outstanding care, professionalism, cleanliness, and overall presentation and ambience.
